Employees are completely incompetent. They are incapable of filling prescriptions in a timely manner.

Things seem to have improved quite a bit at the Barre Walgreens lately. Popped in today during a jaunt through the Granite City. Shelves are looking more full. Although the team was a little chatty the vibe was lighthearted and welcoming.Maddie up at the register never let an awkward silence fall. I could buy duct tape, rope, and trash bags from her without feeling weird about it.Erik out here solving everybody’s problems. With his support you’ll be ready for the impending nuclear holocaust. Prescription in TPR status? No receipt return? Looking for a specific share of L’Oréal liquid eyeliner? He has the answer.Jesse? He’ll take your picture, run it through biometric screening software, and make a print good enough to pass through the US Department of State. Those candy aisles are looking pretty plump too. A snack for the end of the world can be found at this location because Jesse has double checked the outdates on every food item in the building.Word on the street is Krista got promoted and is now at level 11 out of 10. The entire store is in the palm of her hand. Well respected by everyone, her directives are followed efficiently while crowd control of the local masses is maintained.Jacob knows everything? Jacob knows everything. No sweat. Check out back? No sweat. Break down recycling? No sweat. Identify Australopithecus by skull fragments? No. Sweat.

[★☆☆☆☆] I am deeply disappointed and concerned about my recent experiences at the Walgreens located at 355 N Main St, Barre, VT. My interactions have raised serious questions regarding the professionalism and respect afforded to customers, particularly in how my prescriptions were handled and the customer service provided. On February 26, 2024, there was an issue with the dosage information on my prescriptions. Despite my doctor correcting the error on the same day, the communication with the pharmacy staff, especially with a pharmacist named Nick, was profoundly troubling. When I called on March 3, 2024, to confirm the receipt of the corrected prescriptions, Nick was dismissive and rude, stating, "well, there's only 3 things here, and I can read," before abruptly hanging up on me.I have confirmation of my prescription being corrected, and my insurance company also sees where they voided out the prescription, and refilled the same amount, which means they received the corrected prescription and Nick just decided to play God and not fill it correctly.Furthermore, a subsequent visit by my partner to address these issues resulted in an encounter with Nick again who was not only unhelpful but also escalated the situation inappropriately. This level of service is unacceptable and not what one would expect from a reputable pharmacy. When my insurance tried to call and find out what was going on, they sadly spoke with Nick, and they words they chose to describe his behavior are not ones that I can type here.I am left with the impression that this Walgreens location does not prioritize customer care or respect, particularly for transgender individuals, which is deeply concerning. It is imperative that all customers receive professional and courteous service, especially when it pertains to sensitive matters such as healthcare and prescriptions.I urge the management and staff at this Walgreens to take immediate steps to improve their service and ensure that all customers are treated with the dignity and professionalism they deserve. We recorded every interaction, and have filed a complaint with the Civil Rights Union, the Board of Pharmacy, amongst others. Nick needs to be fired immediately and his license revoked, he is unhinged.

This pharmacy is overworked, understaffed, dirty, and dying. They're doing the work of multiple pharmacies, but don't have nearly enough people to do it with. They clearly don't have good training or pride in their employees, and clearly corporate isn't spending enough money to attract quality people. We swapped all of our prescriptions to an online service. But for immediate need stuff, there's still the local pharmacy, and it's absolutely a terrible experience every time I go in there. shame on Walgreens corporate.

was kind of stressed out, looking for the item i was looking for. an older woman came up to me, and asked if i needed any help. she made the experience so much more comfortable for me. she was short, had silver medium length hair, and the kindest person ever.

Pharmacy will keep you on hold listening to the most depressing wait music for 1 hr, then disconnect you. Good luck getting a hold of them.

This pharmacy has kept me on the phone for the better part of 45 minutes today, each time I get someone to answer they ask the same question and before I am done answering they place me on hold and then the phone call disconnects. Their customer service is atrocious, their ability to answer any time sensitive is a constant let down. Now they are saying they can’t indicate if they have your specific prescription in stock so you have to go to the store to wait in line and watch them not answer the phone and make you wait in line for a half hour to in turn make you wait another half hour. Utterly disgusted with the lack of assistance they are able to offer as a pharmacy if they can even call it that. They all need about a weeks lesson of customer service etiquette and perhaps need to be put into a customer roll with getting the medication they need and see if they enjoy how I was treated today. A+ Walgreens , back to CVS tomorrow I go!

No one seems to know what they're doing. I was on hold for well over an hour and was transferred back and forth between multiple people who all told me they were not the right person to talk to. Need better organization and better management

Things here have gotten insane, with the pharmacy (the only one in walking distance for those many of us in Barre without cars) suddenly closing when pharmacy staff simply don't feel like showing up. Their phone system is a shambles as well, most often when people have decided to take off. Many in this community have to rely on them for life-sustaining medications, only too find that noone bothered to stay and work the hours they claim to be open.

I would give them zero stars if I could. Both me and my husband have been a customer at this store since it was Rite-Aid. Ever since they became Walgreens-employees have left, pharmacists have left...signs of BIG problems! Now there are young hoodlums running around the store half-dressed, "working", swearing, manager walks around in sweat pants...just disgraceful. Clearly they aren't concerned with who they hire and how these individuals make them look. Today, went into the pharmacy to get a prescription filled for my husband who was in the ER all night in Newport (which is closer to where we live in the middle of nowhere) and was told the script had to have our address written on it in order to fill (granted, it was a controlled substance) but that wasn't even the worst thing. The pharmacist, an arrogant young man half my age, had the nerve to ask me why we were in Newport hospital, and said "there are so many pharmacies between here and Newport, why here" as if to insinuate there was something suspicious going on! He backed off when I told him I was up all night in the ER with my husband, and I work in Barre, which is why we keep a pharmacy here. Completely unprofessional and absolutely NONE of his business why we use the pharmacy we do. You're just there to dispense our scripts, fella. He had absolutely no right to question my motives. I went outside, wrote the damn address on the script myself, and went to Kinney's. No problem. I's file a complaint with his district manager or medical director if I thought they'd care. AVOID THIS CHAIN. They are not professional nor do they value customer service AT ALL! I run 2 medical clinics in Vermont, and if my providers/support staff ever made such a judgement or assumption based on geography...I'd term them immediately!

I would give this a 5 but the new tech is so impersonable and gives me the feeling. I'm just bugging her even though I'm being very kind. I have always had the best experience with everybody else at the pharmacy. Completely kind and smiles, unfortunately this new person has a horrible attitude.
