Purchased the MDR and the later version MDRX. The MDR first generation had issues which were addressed on recall and Warranty service follow up. Customer and Warranty service is first rate. Have ordered the latest generation Wolverine. Wish forward ejection and folding charging handle would be an option for the Wolverine!

I own the MDR and SRS A2 and couldn’t be happier. Liked them so much I just placed an order for the new WLVRN 20” 308.
Only problem I ever had was with the original gas block. Desert tech corrected the problem immediately. Great customer service and good people to work with

Great experience. I purchased a Quattro lower and called in to purchase some magazines. Hunter was able to answer all of my questions and manually took my order because it would not go through on the site because of my bank. I plan to run this set up and switch over more of my arsenal as I integrate the Quatto system into all of my AR platforms.

I have owned my SRS for many years now. Every time it goes out I’m amazed by its performance. With reloaded ammunition I can consistently shoot 1/8” groups at 100yrds. I have had my srs out to 15050 yards and I can tell you that I wouldn’t want me shooting at me with this rifle.

I have the SRS in 338 Lapua. I added good glass and a silencer. Yes I can shoot without earplugs. Great for hunting. Shot a walking elk at 400 yards off sticks. One shot. This weapon is well worth the money and super accurate. My go to. I’m hunting oryx in March in southern New Mexico. Should be fun.

What a great group over at Desert Tech. As a new HTI owner I needed advice for new optics to help with ELR shooting. I got a quick response with great advice for accessories and advice.

Purchased a MDRX forward eject in February 2023. I own several AR-15s, but this is my first bullpup rifle. I conducted a lot of research before landing on the DesertTech - primarily for the quality and the trigger and the modularity. I purchased in 5.56/.223 and just purchased a 300 blackout conversion. The gun feels like a tank and while the trigger cannot be as crisp as a traditional AR, it still breaks clean. The staff at DesertTech are super responsive and polite. I am running an Omega 36M on this and while no adjustments were required to the gas block, I would recommend a flow-through style suppressor to reduce the smoke in your face. You also need to run better quality ammo. Cheaper reloads will not extract properly. Everyone who has shot this weapon smiles after a magazine or two. Last comment I will make is this gun is not meant to be a tack driver and even though I am running a Vortex Razor 1x6, I have yet to get 1" MOA at 100 yards. I do not regret my purchase.

Unfortunately, I've concluded that I can not recommend Desert Tech as a company to buy from. After over three years of dreaming about buying an MDRX to enjoy the vast array of multicaliber options, I finally had the opportunity to purchase in December of 2023. The Desert Tech website gave me constant issues (which should have been my first hint). Upon sending their sales department an email, they were extremely helpful in assisting me to put in an order for a 556 SE MDRX manually, and I received it quite quickly, in the grand scheme of things, in mid-December.However, what was failed to be communicated was that I was purchasing at full price a platform that was, for all intents and purposes, a "clearance" rifle slated for retirement mere weeks later at the onset of 2024. Within a month of getting an MDRX directly from the manufacturer, the WLVRN was both announced and immediately available for preorder- a strictly better rifle in quite literally every regard as the "MDRX 2.0" - replacing it directly in their lineup of rifles at the same price. In addition, the Forward Eject system is also retired, which means that the multicaliber conversion kits are finite in quantity- not cross-compatible with the WLVRN.Needless to say, knowing that Desert Tech happily directly sold me a soon-to-be-retired rifle with a strict upgrade at an identical price right around the corner left an incredibly sour buyer's remorse taste in my mouth that I would have gotten a vastly superior purchase had I waited until after the holidays- dwarfed only by the response I received when I contacted support, offering me a "free hat or t-shirt" from their website. Support claimed that their sales department "don't know when a product will be launched until the day-of" as if there isn't internal knowledge that a new rifle is actively near deployment, and fundamentally told me "it's the same rifle" as if the Clamp-swap on-the-go system and quality of life of the WLVRN isn't quite literally the biggest attraction over the MDRX.It's extremely depressing to feel directly burned by Desert Tech for supporting them directly instead of a 3rd party middleman immediately after joining the DT family. I suppose it's easy for support to forget that a $3000 purchase isn't a trivial deal for everyone, so I guess I'll have to look for another .50 BMG in case the HTI gets retired and upgraded as soon as I buy it too.

The MDRx is by far the best .223/5.56, 300, 6.5 and .308/7.62 rifles out there for me. I was a weapons instructor (CATM) for the Air Force for over ten years and although I have great respect for the M16/AR15 platform, I prefer the MDRx. There are many reviews out there on the MDRx, but here’s why I prefer it.1. The compact bullpup design in a modular package is always an advantage for me.2. With the magazine placement being behind the trigger, this places the weight of the rifle back toward the body instead of away from the body. This allows for easier handling and more manageable control of the rifle when only using one hand such as giving hand signals. When the magazine is in front of the trigger the rifle naturally wants to fall away from the body when not supported with both hands.3. The MDRx has by far the best stock trigger of any bullpup out there, and with the JARD Sear Assembly upgrade for the MDRx, I feel it makes an already great rifle perfect. The only thing that would make it better would be an adjustable trigger.4. Modularity, the fact that the same platform can be changed from .223/5.56 to 300 to .308/7.62 to 6.5 in minutes is a game changer. If you own an MDRx in .223/5.56 and another in .308/7.62, it would only be necessary to get a 300 and 6.5 barrel. One case with the .223/5.56 MDRx and extra 300 barrel and another case with the .308/7.62 MDRx and extra 6.5 barrel which allows for four calibers in two rifle with only minutes between barrel changes.5. The Micron conversion kit. Watch the videos on why there is nothing else out there like it.My only advice is before you knock it, try it.With all this being said, I have received nothing but the best customer service from both Hunter and Nick. A perfect 5 star experience!!!

This is NOT a gun store and they do NOT have a show room and are not open to the public, the listing on Google is incorrect. They were extremely friendly, and pointed me to a gun store just down the road that had their products in stock. If you are looking to get your hands on Desert Tech products go to Doug's Shooting Sports just down the road a little, they're also a fantastic place.

Good luck getting inside, they keep the doors locked the entire day, and when you try to get a hold of someone to see if they're open no one answers the phone or the front door, thought this was a firearms shop lol.
