The lady booked mine and my husband's appointment for 4 pm then when I arrived 10 minutes early she rushed me into the office because she booked herself another appointment at 430. She didn't know the answers to any of my questions. Couldn't figure out how to properly input my children for the child tax credit or about write offs. Basically all around very unhelpful.

I called with just some random questions (because getting the IRS on the line is impossible) and she took her time to answer all of them, in a nice and professional manner.I will definitely recommend friends and family to this place.

I went in to Tax Specialist as a 20 year customer from the "BLOCK" and I must say I was completely blown away with how pleasant my experience with Mrs. Griffin and her patience and expertise. I would and have highly recommend this folks .

The purpose of hiring a tax specialist is to maneuver through the ever changing tax guidelines and requirements when your taxes become too intricate to do on your own online through turbo-tax, and to ensure that all of your taxes are properly filed to avoid additional penalties and fees -- especially in a tricky year for filing with the stimulus checks and evolving protocols surrounding Covid-19 etc.I have been working with this agency for 3 years, and each has gotten progressively worse. I understand that each case and filing are different, some more difficult than others, and some clients can be less pleasant than others to work with (I work customer service, have run my own company, etc), so do my best to be clear and concise with my questions and concerns.This year's filing was confusing as the rep told us "if you got the stimulus then you owe X (more than the stimulus itself), if you didn't then you get Y." My understanding of that statement would be that the stimulus received potentially affected our income, which would be why we owe more than if we didn't receive it." When I called for further clarification, she then stated -- if you didn't get the stimulus, we would add it to this refund. Well that makes a lot more sense, and was not what was said originally. If it was, I would have no questions, and go on my merry way. Her comments were rude, and condescending -- as to "I'm sorry YOU didn't understand what I said."This is why we pay tax specialists -- so we don't have to understand, but we can trust that they are done properly without being treated poorly. Next time, we will work with a new agent, someone who is not put out by a simple question. I would suggest some improvements in customer service training before taking on new clientele.

I have used The tax specialist in Riverton, Utah for years. My tax specialist there is Su Kirk. For years formerly a director for H&R Block she is superlative at her work. Her focus and knowing what you are going to ask before you ask a question goes to her superior credentials and time in the tax industry. All work she has done for me has always provided the most money back to me or the very least amount owed in taxes both federally and state wise. I cannot extol her abilities in just the room here. Before you call anyone else just give her or anyone at The Tax Specialist a call and you'll see why it would be a waste of your time to continue looking for a tax consultant or tax preparer. They can handle even the most difficult tax circumstance serving not only your best interest but I can attest that Su can explain your best options in a way you can understand easily. Each year I simply call 801-254-7421 and know I can relax with the best representation and explanation at tax time.
