Hi i will only give you 5 stars if you give Halle Derbis a raise. She is a great role model, a great worker and drove me home safely in the dark once. Also, she is going to college soon and she will need the money to pay for college or else she will starve and die (that doesn't look good for your company). Please give her a raise. Thanks :)

This is a review for the swimming lessons here. Point one--they are super hard to get in to. You literally have to register within the first minute they open registration to get a spot. Point two-- the lessons in the outdoor pool this summer (2023) have been a joke. They have provisions for moving lessons inside if the air temperature is below 65* but NO provisions for when it's above that temp and super windy outside. So the kids are freezing and/or can't hear the teachers due to the wind and the staff can't/won't move the lessons to the indoor pool. Feedback from multiple parents seems to mean nothing. Our experience with lessons in the indoor pool have been better, as all these weather concerns are a non-issue. Within the past couple months there have been 2 different occasions when multiple swimming teachers just haven't shown up, leaving the remaining teachers to scramble to try to teach two different levels of lessons simultaneously. As a parent, I wish they'd just offer us a partial refund for the session in these cases. It really doesn't seem safe to have the one teacher trying to manage two classes of kids in different places in the pool--especially in the outdoor pool. The last time this happened, my child told me they had to help a shorter swimmer who couldn't touch the bottom of the outdoor pool when the teacher had the class swim to the center of the pool. When I brought this up to management, they tried basically tried to blame it on the kid--telling me that kids shouldn't be in those outdoor classes If they can't swim without touching. Ridiculous! Especially seeing as we're all putting our kids in the classes the previous instructor recommended.

Swimmer here who can never get a lane at this place. When you do, you will rarely spot a lifeguard. Swim teams reign supreme here (it's all about the $$$). The worst part about this place are the reception people who have been trained to ask anybody who they feel looks older to them if they're over 62, which she did me. I won't be 62 for years (like several of them, I'm not even close). I was so insulted that I actually cried while waiting for a lane with my husband. Too many other pool around to be treated like that.

I wish I can give them 0 stars but this place is terrible! I called earlier in the day and said it's open till 8:00pm for the public. And when I arrived it was close for the public. It was only open for the people that go their for lessons! I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! THEY COMPLETELY WASTED MY TIME!

Life guards are very aggressive and extremely rude! They were singling me out of all swimmers and threatening to ask us to leave as they are using parents as lifeguards since they are short staffed and are very rude about it. I will never go back to that pool again where after paying an outrageous entrance fee and having the kid with life jacket they are still pestering you over getting into the pool when most kids in the pool are not even wearing life jackets. The grounds are full of trash, cans that no one is cleaning. Would not recommend to anyone!

The diving area was closed with no heads up. They don't give enough cheese for nachos and charge an extra dollar for more. This place sucks, never coming back

Lots of kids in the peak of summer. Two diving boards which are fun, and there's a 5-10 min/ hour adult swim. $2 facilities fee. Good on a really hot day when there's no where else to escape.

The things they have here are cool. Platforms, diving boards, slides, kids area, and some swim lanes. However this place is run by morons. They don't have anywhere for people to sit in chairs/layout. But the lamest thing is their hours. We just got here at 4:40 when they normally close at 8 they change their time to 5. So wack. So inconsistent. And they close at 4 on sundays. D**** They need to fix this or else someone else is gonna come with diving boards and put them out of business.

i know someone, (a regularly paying monthly/yearly membership holder for over 20 years) who had resently called into the cottonwood recreation center....to check on "open gym times (for that particular day)". & while, "(they) were briefly put on hold. (they) said, that (they) happen to over hear the receptionist on the other end of the line. make a rather rude & inderect comment, about how ("she" the receptionist....) hates when people call in just to ask a basic question (or something to that affect)....." {smh}

Just left 30 minutes ago, jumped off the highest pillar twice did a front 180 and a backflip (lifeguard tyler told me to wait up so i did, when he said it was clear i went). My 2 friends just jumped off normally one time, one did a front flip other a normal jump. We go up to the 2nd level after that and me and my friend are scoping out the drop, other is on wall behind. All of a sudden turquoise shirt buddy comes up "hey you guys preppin to jump up together??" i told him nah bro im setting a gainer g. Responds "well you guys have been jumping off together we have seen it." What man what are you talking about bro? My other friend responds with the exact truth, "no but someone landed next to me last time i went off bro it was sketch, i promise that guy wasnt with us man im sorry" He just doesnt even respond to it, he doesnt believe us gives us NO chance, just so assuming its messed up... Simply responds with "wellll unfortunatly im going to have to ask you to leave..." WHAT?? LIKE BRO WERE NOT BUTT BUDDIES TRYING TO JUMP OFF TOGETHER WERE TRYING TO DO FLIPS. Im in dead shock so are my 2 friends, pretty much we get kicked out for nothing because "3 other lifeguards told me the same," he kept on saying it, it was his only reasoning... we jumped off once, i went twice, and we got kicked out cause some rando jumped in after us or something. We told the manager to check the cameras and then left. Turquoise buddy marginalized us because we were doing flips, he said it to my face "we have guys your age doing flips and dangerous stuff all the time you need to be more careful." Bro im 17, im your age.... He easily couldve known the difference between the people who jump in if he wasnt prone to not liking us for doing flips. The pool has those platforms for a reason, to flip off of them. Flips are allowed, as well as doubles and triples. I know what time doing, im not being dangerous jumping with anyone. Why marginalize the people who are using them properly, I waited for my turn correctly and respected the word of Lifeguard Tyler twice on the highest platform. Only to be marginalized by turquoise buddy who i could tell assumed we were just hot stuff and thought trying to be cocky and get away with it, when we were just trying to have fun and were confused about what was going on... i was trying to have a nice relaxing cliff session with my friends after a long day at my 9-5 job in the sun only to have it be ruined and my mood put to the floor. Im just confused on why the world has to work like this.

They kicked me out for jumping off the high dive at the same time as my friend with no warning, and we didn't even jump off together.

My kids love this outdoor pool. It has high dives and low dives too please each kid and slides for those not wanting to jump. The kiddie area has small slides and a beach entry with some water fountain features. The water is on the cool side of warm but not cold by any means. Perfect for a normal Utah summer heat. I spend most of the time getting my tan on sitting on the grass eye balling the kids. The snack shack has plenty to offer with pretzels pizza and nachos plus ice cream, treats and candies. Sadly they have removed the shade covers that were over the picnic tables, that's a bummer and why I removed one star.

The staff was helpful and everything was sanitized regularly. Even with the current restrictions, I am so thrilled to be swimming .

During the Covid-19 pandemic, only 500 people were allowed in the pool which I get but they are letting members in and making the wait longer for non-members! Members are allowed and they don't have to wait! This is unexeptable!! Members don't get priority! It's 95 degrees out!! The members need to wait like the others! Also a lot of people are on their phones, tanning or making tic toks! If they want to do this stuff they should do this at their home! This is not right! I will not come to this pool again if they don't change this!

Pool in the summer for kids. Indoor ice rink year round. Tennis courts need some love.
