Service is Great but they don’t have diversity in their stylist. They have 1 person that can do Afro-American hair and that stylist only works two days and take VERY few customers a week. The other stylist only do Caucasian hair. Based on that one stylist I would say 5 stars but based on the lacks of diversity and availability I rate this two stars

Listen! Go to Chi for your hair needs! I know with my hair, I am very very VERY scared to try new people out. Sometimes we want to pick the boutiques over a chain salon but you can TRUST Chi with your hair. I wanted to do the viral tiktok copper hair color and just let her work her magic. Not only is she great at what she does, she is a joy to be around. Such a kind soul!

At 10:45 am, I made an appointment for 1:30 pm that same day with a specific stylist. I received an email confirming the date, time, and stylist. I arrived at 1:25 and was told that the stylist I had selected called in sick that morning and they had moved my appointment to a different stylist who had just taken another client I and would not be available until 2:15. I did not get any email about the changes appointment. They did not offer another stylist or seem very apologetic. I cancelled and left and will not return. The salon I have been using closed & I was looking for a new one. This will not be it.

Celina and the manager were both amazing! I came in with a disaster that I got done somewhere else and they both brainstormed on how to fix it then Celina executed it perfectly! I felt as though they understood my vision even better than I did and explained everything perfectly!Service: Hair coloring

My stylist Amanda is talented and a wonderful person; a true gem to the salon. Amanda thank you for your excellent service!! I like JCP salons because you can count on quality products, reasonable prices for the most part, and you're usually able to find a stylist that does all hair type, not just hair type of a certain ethnicity and comfort level for them. It is ridiculous when you come across privately owned salons that will only cater to a certain hair type. A well trained stylist should be capable of performing commonly requested services such as a relaxer. Hair coloring which is commonly done with many caucasian women, is very similar in application to performing a relaxer, yet many caucasian owned or operated salons refuse to perform a relaxer service to other ethnic groups who desire to have this treatment.I am sure it would not be pleasing to them if they were denied services of any kind from other groups, simply because they weren't comfortable or accustomed to certain processes or customs performed by them. As long as the stylist is properly trained and certified to perform the services, then there is no excuse to not do it, and cosmetology schools should include lessons on how to perform a relaxer, which I'm sure they do.

I'm going to be completely honest, 90% of my wardrobe has come from JCPenney, mainly because of the amount of selection they have to offer. However, the location here in Waco has caused my opinion to change dramatically about the company. Don't know if the management doesn't properly train the staff members properly or they seriously enjoy profiling people. Every time I go in there looking for a specific item I would have to hunt down an associate who doesn't know jack about what I'm looking for, not even look the item up on their computer to see if they have it in stock only to brush me off while they do whatever task they were assigned to do. Then only a few minutes later I hear a voice on the intercomms giving out a code to the department I'm in only to have the same associate stalking me around the store like I'm 'suspicious'. Like seriously, why would I be 'suspicious' if I'm in the store looking for a specific item for a specific reason. The last time they did that to me was when I had to replace my belt because the belt I had was broken and I had lost some weight and my I had to make sure my pants weren't falling all over the floor. That's what belts are made for. If the staff are going to wrongfully profile people then they're not getting anymore of my money.

So I came in about two weeks ago and had my hair cut. I arrived early at my appointment with Sandra and waited 45 minutes. She literally spent the whole time gabbing with her customer. Finally another stylist took pity on me. I had a PHENOMENAL cut from Nikki. I would give Nikki 5 Stars. However I brought in my friend to get his done. Nikki wasn't available, so he had an appointment with Sandra. Sandra is apparently a Disaster Human. We waited 30 minutes past our appointment time. Then she spent 15 minutes saying she hated the computer and wanted to leave. She kept making excuses about how she didn't know what to do with my friend's hair. It was incredibly unprofessional and honestly the worst experience. Then we had to actually explain how the clippers work. The whole situation was almost absurd enough to be hilarious. Listen, if you call and they give you an appointment with Sandra, don't waste your time. Either ask for someone else or go somewhere else.
