Good place to stay so much to do around the area as well
Nearby activities: Water park is right up the street as well as top golf
Food & drinks: Breakfast every morning was great didn't have to go out and spend extra money

Wonderful staff.. very clean, facilities are nice and convenient to businesses and shopping, also the happy hour was good and the breakfast was excellent !!
Rooms: Nice room, little wear ans tear on the furniture, but over all clean ans comfortable

All the years of making reservations and blocking rooms for events, I've never experienced service from a front desk and general manager that will cause me to leave such a review. Cards being charged prior to check-in, rooms being canceled, blocked room rates not being honored, poor customer service from the front desk and an all around general disappointment for the event that we had planned for over 2 years. Although the rooms were clean and inviting some rooms smelled of smoke, some went without towels, and was even informed that there is no housekeeping on the weekends. The shuttle that was a part of the reason we chose this hotel was not available and there was no explanation or backup offered by the hotel. No more than business cards to outside shuttling services. A lot of plans went into choosing this hotel for our family event to which the sister hotel was also used to fulfill our accommodations. Our reunion. Unfortunately, some family members had to seek other places to stay because of their cancellations of rooms, which was a disservice to those who traveled from other states. The general manager was very condescending and disrespectful when we tried to get an understanding as to why charges were made prior to check-in the cancellation of the rooms and the not honoring the online room rates that was quoted as some of the family members discovered their rooms had been canceled and they needed to rebook a room. Would I recommend this hotel? Not for a blocking of multiple rooms event!

Checking in was a disaster as they did not give us the initial quoted price per day. No room service or fresh towels during the weekend… Is that not crazy? The busiest time is weekends, So you would think a hotel would prepare for their guests a little better. Ringing the front desk was also a disaster. Each time I called the front desk.. the phone ring for at least two minutes before someone even picked up. Will never stay there again.

I was there over the weekend for my family reunion. First, we had a lot of issues, not just me but us as a family with our rooms being canceled and our cards being charged early before we even got to the hotel. Some people were on planes. Some people were driving with no reception in their rooms were canceled. In my case, our room was charged early and they were going to cancel Our room, if we did not have the money in by certain amount of time. Nowhere in our contract did it state that we would be charged early or as we were told on the phone I quote we should’ve charged you 30 days ago. That is something I’ve never heard before my life, I’ve stayed in many hotels. Most of the time you’re not charged until you arrive and then most the time you’re not charged until you leave. It was quite disappointing for so many family members to be inconvenienced because you canceled reservations because people were on flights and didn’t know that you were going to charge early. You guys have to be more clear in your communication and your contracts and what state. Second problem is that it was extremely noisy in my room, there was a lot of running upstairs that was completely uncalled for. I called down to the desk and they did call up to the floor and asked him to Quiet things down it did some, but it picked right back up. When I called back, I got no answer. Third issue my room there was no back up items inside the room like tissue and had a bad smell upon entering. The tv kept reprogramming.There was only a certain number of towels and electrical issues. We couldn’t get the lights on. Also we had an iron that did When I called to try to request for that twice, I got no answer. I also do believe that the hotel does have some bedbugs. I didn’t spend a lot of time out in the night air every morning when I woke up I had a new bump on me that wasn’t there the night before. Lastly, inside the elevators the smell is awful and it’s like 100 degrees in there.Made the best of my trip and my stay, but some areas were disappointing.

This is a place that is unsafe for single women, especially of color. I was harassed for using the facilities in the sister hotel. I received a citation for "walking back and forth" too much and "spending too much time in the lobbies". See the review on Holiday Inn Express on 5290 Memorial Drive, The Colony, Texas. The man in the grew is a manager at Staybride and the man in the blue is the front desk clerk from the Holiday Inn. Not pictured is a female staff member of same ethnicity that was also unwelcoming, especially to fema evacuees.

The hotel was in a great location and the overall experience was nice. The dinning and staff were great. The only issue was the pool and we chose this hotel based on the pool for our daughter. The area was not maintained well or cleaned frequently, the mushroom water feature and the end pool feature did not work. Many of the chairs were broken as well.

I have stayed at this hotel about 6 years ago while on a trip and it was nice. What I really loved was the little aquatic area for smaller children that my oldest loved. Fast forward to now, I personally would not stay here again with my family as we have 4 children now and the pool area was a mess. The little aquatic area didn’t work and the pool was so nasty. I’m not sure when the last maintenance was but it wasn’t recent. The bottom filter was clogged with debris, the pool was green and algae was forming all over. The doors outside by the pool were rusted and falling apart, trash was on the ground. Would not recommend staying here if you want to utilize the pool area for what the pictures show for your little family vacation. The room was ok, we stayed in the suite so we could be able to wash bottles. The room was clean but had a little smell to it.

The elevator was extremely hot during our stay here. The 3rd floor also smelled like vomit. Halls were not vacuumed properly. The location was good, and room was decent.

I stayed here for 5 days. The room was large and spacious. It was clean and I liked the location. The staff were mostly nice. Except one who come around the morning shift Indian guy with bald head. He doesn't seem like he enjoys being there. I said hi a few time when walking in. But he just stares. One time I had ask a question and he didn't respond. Then I can hear him talking on phone. Breakfast is alright it the same thing over . So you kinda get tired of it. But other than that was a pretty good experience.
