“I was interested in purchasing the Stetson 6X Skyline in Granite Gray and contacted Customer Service via e-mail about getting the hat brim cut down from 4" to a 3" brim. They responded and said it could be done and to call the Cavender's Store in Texarkana, TX. and they would do it. I went to the store and picked out the hat and within 10 minutes they were finished with it. It turned out perfectly and it's a very sharp looking hat.The entire staff was very friendly, helpful and courteous.You just can't beat the service!”

“Walking into this place was like walking into my past when I was a young teenager or even younger. The aroma inside the store was exactly what I remembered from my childhood when I used to bring my shoes to the shoemaker for repair. This time though so many years later, I'm 65 now, I did not bring any shoes for repair, I brought in my dog's long leash. I got the leash from the rescue where I got my dog and it was all chewed up on the end near where it clips onto her collar and they're not held two pieces of it together So I asked a gentleman behind the counter if he could cut off about 2 feet of that end and then stitch the good part back onto the clip. He told me no problem but that he had a two-week backlog but will try to get to it sooner since it was a small job. Later that day I received a phone call that the job has been completed. I stopped by the next day to pick it up and at leash looked pretty much like new minus a couple of feet of length. That's okay though because it's still almost 15 ft long. Anyway I got excellent service, a truly good price just over $6 for the repair and had a lot of memories of my childhood revived of going to my local neighborhood shoemaker. Excellent place excellent person working there and if you are into model cars make sure to take a look at the walls inside the place there are shelves after shelves full of them. I should mention that besides shoe repairs they also do saddle and bridle repairs at the shop.”
