We stayed at the Shamrock Country Inn over Memorial Day weekend. We had a 2-bed room and took advantage of the breakfast. I cannot say enough good things about this cute and comfortable inn! I highly recommend this as a great stop right off of Route 66. The owner was so nice, welcoming, friendly and gave us great dining recommendations. The room was clean, the beds were so comfortable. I loved the Texas flag motif and the stars painted on the doors (which the owner did himself!) Breakfast was excellent and had so many options to choose from. We would stay here again. Absolutely loved this motel!Nearby activities: Lots of Route 66 interesting tidbits, and the Blarney Stone!Walkability: This motel is right off of Route 66 and about half a block down from Grifs steak house and the U Drop Inn cafe & gift shop. Great parking right outside your room.

We arrived here late and was greeted by the friendly front desk. We quickly checked in and went into our old, but very clean and well maintained room. The breakfast was decent, big bonus points for the cute waffle maker. Overall, at this place you get what you pay for and a bit more.

Do yourself a favor and stay at this awesome motel. Here are the reasons why:- You pull right up to the office and the nicest man smiles and greets you as you walk in after a long day of travel.- After a smooth and pleasant check-in, you open the door to your room and the first thing you notice is it’s big and smells so clean. The bed is soft and comfy with plenty of blankets.- You decide to take a shower and are surprised, in a good way, at the nice heat and the perfect water pressure. You stay in a little longer.- You set the AC temp to 72 and float away to dreamland for 8 hours straight.- You make sure you wake up before 9 so you don’t miss the free breakfast. You walk by the nice owner and he warmly greets you with "good morning, how did you sleep?"- As you gather your things before checkout at 11, you can’t help but think “how is a place like this only $60 a night?”- You’re so pleased with your experience you make sure to tell the owner thank you for everything several times before driving off on down historic Route 66 on a rainy Sunday morning. And you can’t wait to write this review when you get to your destination.Highly recommend. Will definitely be coming back next time we’re in Texas. Clean, affordable, safe and just great vibes from this place. A rare gem.

Husband, tiny dog, and I had a great night here, a week ago. The bed was super comfortable, the sheets and blankets were soft and clean, the room and bath were clean. The AC worked fine. The proprietor is very nice and friendly. The coffee in the morning was good. I'd absolutely stay here again.

I really enjoyed staying here. The price of the room can not be beat. Zero bugs, very clean! Yes it a older building but I didnt mind at all. Was so convenient to have 3 beds as a family of 5. The breakfast was a added bonus. My boys loved the texas waffles. Staff was friendly and provided extra towles when we asked. The pet area was clean. Yes its small but it worked just fine. I will be staying here again.

I love this place! I actually book it through Air BNB each time. The host is amazing and is flexible with my check-in. The price is a great value - my room is always clean and cozy. They provide a very nice breakfast in the morning - homemade eggs, toast, waffles and oatmeal - coffee, tea, juice, milk. For the value, you cannot beat this place! And the owner/host is so friendly and helpful. If you haven't tried staying here, you should.Rooms: The room is a basic hotel room - TV works great, cold AC or warm heater in the winter. The shower is nice and hot. Soap/shampoo is provided. Clean linens and room. Very quiet surroundings.Food & drinks: You'll have two bottles of water in your room when you check in, and fresh breakfast the next morning at no extra cost. Oatmeal, waffles, toast, homemade eggs - along with milk, juice, fresh coffee and hot tea.

My family and arrived late at night and the front desk/ owner was waiting for us. Extremely friendly, clean rooms and hot breakfast. Would recommend, for the price this place can not be beat!

This little place might not look like much from first glance.but don't judge book by its cover..the office was clean and the man who runs it was very pleasant ,and told us what we needed to kmow.rooms are clean.coffee in your room is complimentary and some water bottles.there is a fridge and small microwave..the comforts of home..This was our first stop after a very long drive from Schaumburg Illinois.our final destination will be San Diego..it's ashame big hotels I. Vegas charge so much and still charge parking separate and no fridge or micros in rooms.Thank you shamrock Inn..the price for a pleasant nite and breakfast 59..dollars..God bless them

We in booked rooms for our move from Illinois to Arizona. Seatons in room 105 and my brothers in room 106.April 9thWhat a great place. Clean . Great price. And owner was amazing. Clean rooms. And awesome breakfast. You should be so proud. Keep up the good work. If we are coming this way again. We will be staying here again.

For this price, an excellent hotel!!! The room is clean, the air conditioning works, and there is a minimal breakfast.

This is such a hidden gem. We got a room with three beds for under $100 which is impossible to find. They are also pet friendly! We are traveling across the country and this has by far been our favorite stop due to the hospitality, cleanliness, and dedication. Thank you shamrock inn! We will be back❤️

Stayed there twice. First time wasn't bad for the low price. Second time was February 2024. It was bitter cold that night. Got there at 5pm and heat was never turned on in room. We froze to death. The room didn't get warm until the middle of the night. I had to wrap my dog up in my coat, he was shivering. Cord that the microwave was plugged into had a short. Microwave would only run for 20 seconds at a time. Never again. Wasn't worth the price. Couldn't report it. No one at the desk when I got there or when I left.

Great little motel in Shamrock, Texas. It was clean, it had everything you would need in it, including a TV, coffee makings, shampoo, and a very appetizing breakfast in the morning! Again, it was very clean and well-appointed, it's just an older hotel. But charming, and the owner was very very kind. We will absolutely stay here again when we drive across Texas.

Stayed there Monday, March 4th,2024. The experience was wonderful. Owner(who is also “jack of all trades”, took us under his wings and made us feel comfortable. The place is very old, but things work well and the owner even made us breakfast(earlier than normal). The price is right. Will stay there again.?????
