If you need a pet friendly hotel that is nice and clean this is your place. Don't let the other hotels in kemah fool you as the other ones don't even allow service animals with id's. The manager and staff here at Captain are great, kind and very helpful. My dad has a boat at the marina so I'm here very often. I will only be staying at this hotel from now on in kemah. Great location and close to boardwalk as well. Thank you staff for the wonderful stay.

My 5 Star review is based upon the owner and his intentions with the property. Other than that the hotel is filled with questionable individuals begging for money and ladies of the night. Whereas the price may be ok there is a lot of work to do and a lot of individuals that must be made to leave before this hotel is safe, secure and family friendly.The property has all the makings of an excellent establishment as long as the owner can stop trying to save the world by trying to hire people with mental issues and working girls (ladies of the night).Owner means well but needs to understand no matter how hard you try, you’re not gonna change individuals by giving them a job.You’re not gonna re-create the wheel my friend, thousands of people have bought hotels and painted them only to fall into the same category as this establishment will. This establishment allows questionable type of individuals in its motel during construction In the owner, even states, I will not be allowing these type of individuals in my motel when we become corporate with Wyndham Resorts, unfortunately It just looks bad. Again, You don’t get to re-create the wheel the wheel has already been created. Anybody can buy a hotel paint a hotel add some nice new products and still fall into that same category by letting questionable individuals rent hotels. Owner needs to start now with this hotel and get those individuals out of there that way the environment surrounding the hotel becomes an environment you want guest not an environment that houses pest.You never want to stay at the low price leader on hotwire, expedia, or bookings or anywhere.The low price leader always surround itself with trouble. The people whom find the lowest priced hotel, well they are usually questionable individuals 90% of the time, people struggling to survive or people that are transient.I understand that these people need shelter and places to stay as well unfortunately, if you want to be a vacation resort in a vacation community you have to take the steps to isolate those individuals and exit them out of your property or else your business is nothing more than a government welfare apartment, Not a vacation rental or a hotel you’d want to stay with with your family on vacation.The owner has to pick and choose either wants to be a welfare apartment or he wants to be a vacation hotel resort community. You can’t have both, nor can you have those individuals working for you.

Nice location but keep going find another place to stay...trust me don't stay at those place.....I was tortured and I stayed 3 weeks payed cash 400.00 a week owner only wanted cash plus the staff (maintenence man) and other staff members destroyed my room 3 times.....3rd time I couldn't drive to the police department fast enough....the police witnessed owner told me nothing of mine was in the room when they cleaned it newsflash the girl at the desk was so nervous when the police told her to take him to my room and when she opened the door the room was still destroyed even poured my dog food all over the room......they stole 2 power of attorneys my eyeglasses my brand new phone and all I wanted was my parents ashes the policeman told me to get what I wanted I grabbed my parents ashes and he asked me if that's all I wanted I started crying cuz I'm not the one who threw all my belongings on the floor threw my walker across the room so yes sir that's all I wanted was my parents ashes....hey owner Pete thought there was nothing of mine in the room when yall cleaned the room??? Liar......the room was never cleaned but I sure would appreciate the return of my eyeglasses.......thanks to you and your staff I have to replace my eyeglasses a phone clothes etc... God don't like ugly!!!!!

Ahoy, matey! Call me Captain & put it Inn my Suites!If you’re looking for a real, seedy, vagabond, Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations, developing country type experience, this is the place for you! The lady at the front desk was very sweet and informed me that there would be no cable. No problem! Stayed on the third floor. No AC in the third floor corridor. No problem, the windows were wide open (no screens or anything!) providing a lovely, humid, breathy type breeze! To keep things interesting for us, they set up an obstacle course of an overturned mini fridge, a luggage cart, and a rolling office chair with no wheels in the middle of the hallway! No blinds or curtains in the room. No problem, they covered the windows with butcher paper! Peel a piece of the paper back to reveal a stunning view of random scrap, old box springs and trash in the surrounding courtyard. Enjoy a beautiful Seabrook sunset in a stolen Target shopping cart conveniently placed directly outside of the South exit. The room stayed cool, and I actually didn’t see any roaches despite all of the other reviews. All in all, great experience.

walked in the room and water was every where from the fridge, there were dead roaches all in the room and when j opened the fridge to make sure that's where the water was from, there was roaches everywhere and mold in the fridge.. bad enough they refunded me on a non refundable trip 0 stars! do not waste your time.. plus they don't do breakfast bc if a remodel..

Location was great and that is about the only positive.No maid service and heaven forbid you ask for anything. We asked for clean towels and pillows. They could not provide. We did find some towels by the pool. My dog now has a major flea issue despite him being on high dollar flea treatment. The floors were sticky. The shower/tub was rusty and leaking. The bedding was a thin sheet and a thin cover. The pillows were nasty. Some didn't even have pillow cases. The towels had weird stains on them. No elevator. Well, there was one but it was broken. Roaches in the bathroom. Smells of cigarettes and weed. I'm still itching from staying there and it's been two weeks. The tv remote didn't work. Tiny tv with blown speakers. The fridge didn't work. The ac was iffy. Did I feel safe? No. Was it affordable? Yes. Were my dogs welcome? Yes. The grass/weeds all around the place was bad. I get they are changing hands but if I call and ask if the pool heater is working and you say yes, I expect to be able to use the pool. It was very cold! We only stayed there because it was cheap and allowed pets. I didn't feel comfortable there at all. Between the random workers and the weird people all around, make sure you are packing heat. It was sketch. Also, it was NOT QUIET! Banging all day long!

The fridge never got cold, I never was moved to the room I ordered, and the roaches about carried us away when the lights went down. For 80 it's not worth it, no coffee or breakfast even. Room floors were filthy.

Room was infested with roaches and our sheets were stained. Was only able to get $30 one key cash credit on Expedia. Would have preferred a full refund back to our card.

Absolutely read the reviews. I booked it in the Uber from the airport. Got there at 130 or so tired. Smelled like weed. Got to the room and pulled the sheets back and they were stained and had pubic hair. How come the health department isn’t shutting them down? Anyway they gave me a refund and we went to quality in accross the street.

ROACHES. Extremely infested with RoachesIt literally made me sick when I turned on the bathroom light and there were 100s of roaches running in every directionSomebody needs to call the health department. I'll Never go back.Rooms: Severely infested with Roaches I couldn't see anything past that

ROACHES, front desk lady did not seem concerned about the situation. Did not inform guest that the elevator was out of order till after we waited. Had to walk up to the 3 floor to walk in on roach running all over the place, in the fridge and microwave.

Horrible is all I can say! Roaches EVERYWHERE! If we could have left we would have but we paid through super deals and wouldn’t be able to get a refund for 5-7 days and we are stuck here for another night.We decided to go get raid to make a perimeter around our bed and the room to keep more from coming in and hopefully kill the ones that are in here but seriously within 5 minutes of being here the roaches were crawling out from dresser, on ceilings, walls etc…

Man let me tell u about this place people who work they care about I and u don't have money right they work with u much they can and good place go really good prices and everyone friendly everyone stays to the self everything else. This was the most absolute worst hotel experience I've ever had in my life there was tons of cockroaches nobody at the front desk everything was dirty they overcharged us and then they said that we were causing problems and we weren't they were just just please stay away from this place it's horribleFood & drinks: Their website says free breakfast they don't even have coffee no breakfast no coffee it's horribleNoteworthy details: This hotel is in a wonderful location I don't understand why it's still open under this management it's making Seabrook look bad please check the reviews online before you get a room

Horrible is the best way to describe this place as it is ROACH INFESTED to the point where I left my stuff in the car unless I was using it right then.I would have immediately left but paid online and wouldn't get a refund for days so I was stuck for the 2 days I booked.
