My salesman was very knowledgeable and forthcoming on any questions I asked. He allowed me to inquire on all aspects of the purchase. In return, supplied me with answers I could make an informed decision on for the buy. I spent a total of 4 hours from test drive to signature. Thank you RG for the superb service you gave!

Remember this: Roy, my salesman, was incredibly knowledgeable and went above and beyond to help me find the perfect car with all the features I wanted. George, the sales manager, made sure I got the best price possible for my trade-in. And Jennifer, in finance, made the paperwork process surprisingly painless. The rest of the sales staff was friendly and attentive, making sure I felt well taken care of. I can't recommend Cavender Nissan San Marcos highly enough!

Shout out to Tristan, who made the car buying process so easy. I told him what I was looking for and what I was willing to pay. He was very honest and real, which I appreciate. Good service from Roy Gonzalez, he was able to get us into the vehicle that we wanted. He goes the extra mile to help you, I recommend that you ask for him and you won’t regret it. WORST DEALERSHIP EXPERIENCE EVER!
Save yourself the hassle and just go down 35 a few miles to the Nissan dealership just down the road.
This review is based on several experiences bc frankly sometimes people just have bad days and deserve another chance which I understand. Sadly they’ve had more than a few. Horrible service seems standard operating procedure at this location. Side note-positive artificial reviews can be purchased.
I have had nothing but horrible experiences from this dealership…many times over a period of several years.
The Nissan a few miles away hears complaints like mine all the time bc it’s such a recurring issue.
Two different Cavendar Nissan service advisors were aggressive towards me and tried to fight with me about the service I was assured when I bought my car. They argued what I was telling them I had been told-that is until they pulled up the recording that proved I was correct. One guy even tried to corner me against the wall to use intimidation means. Then his boss showed up and he started acting small which is the only reason I realized his boss had arrived. That guy must have had a scrambler to stop recordings bc when I started to record, under the radar, it would stop the recordings but only when I stood next to that aggressor. This says a-lot. Think about that.
There is a toxic non service culture here and things are highly inefficiently run. It’s no wonder why there is so much turnover in the staff. Just ask about how many staff they run through here. This also says a-lot.
Good riddance Cavendar Nissan. It’s a shame you don’t know how to show up for your customers.
It might help to “read the room” and reassess your impact. I don’t work there yet I’ve seen plenty. I’m hearing several other customers issue complaints too as I write this before I leave.
Previously I was told by two different staff I would have to wait more than 3 months for an oil change and drop my car off for that service and leave it for more to a two weeks. What? That is nuts!!! I called back bc the first time I was told this I was dubious. Different person same tactic.
Seems like it’s strategy that they don’t honor their policies that they are obligated to provide when purchased.
One honest person hinted to these practices. That person left (not fired) when they saw what was happening.
Check your promises-especially the ones they try to hide in general language on warranties. Get it all in writing!-even the specific parts they claim are typical language and will be added to the computer logs bc it isn’t. They fix the logs.
I was told I’d get oil changes there when I bought the vehicle. There is even a sticker on my windshield THEY placed there when they did the oil change several months ago. Funny-they claim there is no history of this in their records-the records the same people acting badly wrote which say the opposite of what happened last time. This is an accountability and honesty issue. Guess they forgot to remove evidence on my car. I asked them if they ever place oil chance stickers on cars for which they do not do oil changes and they said they don’t so I showed them the sticker. They acknowledged this proof.
Even when I was told proof would be updated/added/corrected in records the last time I was given the exact same “script” by another. Even when I show proof of my claims, placed by their staff-I’ve experienced argument.
They like to blame things on the transition records (every time) and not having proper documentation. Ironic. They think customers don’t know they fix their logs but we live this alongside with you and know the truth.
It seems there is no accountability or oversight processes in place.
Poor and inaccurate records were kept in transition from McGavock to Cavendar ownership.
