DO NOT recommend. The doctor is very unprofessional When she talks to her patients. And then they charge you for services you don’t agree to save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else.

Dr. Thompson cares for each one of her patients and explores treatment options with the pet owners. She is amazing and so is her support staff. Best vet in San Antonio!

In response to your feedback… I believe you are confusing me with another patient because the facts that you are stating in your reply are not aligning. I have not only been to your clinic one time. This same dog has been a patient since 2022, for over 2 years.
6 days to see a EXISTING sick patient/animal at a general vet is not normal, so you trying to normalize that is absurd. Your front office receptionist was rude and could’ve cared less, and no she didn’t explain any therapy options. She said I could drop the dog off the next day even though she had diarrhea to sit in a crate the entire day with diarrhea for you to “possibly” see her between your busy schedule. She couldn’t put me down for any cancellations either. And recommend taking your sick dog to an ER or Animal Hospital until your office can get us in 6 days later?! I asked for any open appts on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. She said there were none until that next Monday afternoon. I explained in concern that I could not believe the office had no physical appts for 6 days and then asked for my medical records to be emailed so I could take my dog to another clinic. They emailed the records and you therefore responded very arrogantly by writing me a letter in the mail - termination of the care. No letter was needed, I told your office I was leaving to find another Vet. That’s not someone being “angry with life” as you mentioned below in your response!? Its called concern that I couldn’t get my sick dog that had been an existing patient into her Vet for almost a full week. I can call 5 different vets in the area and none of them say to an existing patient “ I have no openings for 6 days for your sick dog”…and yes, I have a problem with that, especially when you are routinely sending emails monthly soliciting new wellness exams, vaccines, services and offering discounts. Taking care of existing sick patients timely would have been ideal.
In addition, I had prior concerns after my last visit in July, which had me questioning if I should even be bringing my dogs to your clinic any further… I should’ve listened to my gut!
People can search by lowest reviews on this platform… one can only surmise by the number of low reviews and complaints on this review platform and various other platforms that others have had similar interactions with you and share similar concerns!
DO NOT RECOMMEND!
Single office Vet who can’t see existing patients timely in my opinion. I called to get my sick Labrador dog in on a Wednesday morning and their next available appointment was that next Monday, 6 days later. For a sick, EXISTING patient! I could however drop off my sick pet that had diarrhea the next day to sit in a square crate all day for a drop off appointment and the Vet would possibly see them in between patients at some point. I transferred my dogs care immediately to a new Vet who was able to see her the same day, treated her for dehydration while providing proper care and antibiotics timely.
Suggestion Dr Thompson: Instead of writing me an arrogant, and petty letter terminating the relationship because I voiced my concerns with your rude front office attendee, why not pick up the phone to discuss? I had already found a different Vet that same day, I didn’t need your letter to guide me in that direction.
Maybe stop soliciting and spamming for new clients until you can treat your sick existing patients first… especially in a timely manner!

Dr. Thompson and her staff are so great! We've been coming here for years. Dr. Thompson does a fantastic job explaining everything and explores homeopathic and pharmaceutical options. I especially appreciate the availability of their therapeutic treatment options and the simple fact that they recognize my dogs as soon as we walk in!

Scheduled boarding months out and we were informed the day before our reservation they were closed on the day of pick up and we were forced to pay for two extra days of boarding. To top it off, our dog came back with a clear scrape/bite wound under his eye and we were told “nobody noticed anything”. Unbelievable, terrible experience with these people who showed zero sympathy or cares towards myself or our pets and I would not recommend taking your pets here.

Took my 4 yo toy poodle to see Dr Thompson because he had been favoring a hind leg for months and did not get better after seeing our regular vet multiple times. What led me to Dr. Thompson was looking for a veterinarian that performed acupuncture and hydrotherapy. However, I was so impressed and appreciated the detailed exam she performed, questions asked, loving care and concern for my dog, the fact she narrowed it down to a few possibilities of diagnosis but decided to take a simultaneous multi point treatment plan (vs trial and error one at a time) - my pup was walking normally and even playing again within 48 hours(!). She used a combination of western and eastern medical and holistic approach. Her knowledge of eastern/Chinese medicine into her practice is a rare find and so lucky to have found her. Just as a small word of caution, she is passionate about her knowledge and if you question (even from a genuine place of trying to understand) , it could be perceived as questioning her approach and could get a response in a defensive manner. I guess I would be the same and ok with it because I have learned so much just from three visits with her and she has brought well-being back to my pup. She will not steer you wrong and told me such. Love it! I will be moving all of our veterinarian care needs (3 dogs) to Dr T even though she's 10 miles out from us where we have a vet clinic 1 mile in every direction. Clinic itself is spotless, staff is organized, professional and friendly. Prices seemed to be standard if not competitive in some areas.

It’s so refreshing to talk with a medical professional that also appreciates a more holistic and natural approach. They provide both eastern and western medicine. The best of both worlds!

I wanted a second opinion for my puppy. But am put on hold for 10 minutes without anyone coming back on line. The time hold was the same the first time. I hung up. Receptionist needed to be train to come back on line every 2 minutes. Although the owners don’t care about running an efficient office. It’s all about the money.
