What a waste of Taxpayer money. Can’t even go to pickup prepaid IRP plates after 3:00pm. Do these people even work !? Freaking Ridiculous. I need their schedule.

Went to the DMV to try to get help and service and the receptionist seem very upset. You can’t ask a simple question they’re trying to cut you off trying to get the next customer horrible customer service very very horrible only because this is the only DMV in San Antonio we have to deal with this issue. They need to train their staff a lot better on how to have better communication with the customer And also on providing great customer service especially if we don’t know how to handle a situation with the with the vehicle/title/registration they have horrible service.

A gentleman named Nieves helped me with a complicated matter. He was fast efficient and polite.

Opens 9 but says 8 they have a line of everyone waiting outside and then when you get there, they tell you they really only do a couple things no title work here.

This is by far my favorite site! I have never spent more than 30 minutes waiting for title services, and I’ve been a couple times in the past year. Nieves was quick and friendly!

It's not given 5 stars because of the back and fourth they have people go through between here and the tax assessment office. But this review is to give an idea of what to do and expect. I highly suggest calling ahead to see what it is you need to bring before coming in. I came to get a copy of a title. I was told I needed my license, the vin# and the money. They didn't tell me I needed EVERYONE listed on the title AND both ID'S (physical or copy) and the copy of title form signed by all people on the title. You can come to this location to get the form. I also recommend making an appointment. However, appointments are only available 3 days in advance Monday thru Thursday. Walk ins are available always (first come first serve). You'll have to come in and sign in at the machine at the door and take your number. Wait times are usually quoted at about and hour or two. But it actually goes by faster because not everyone has their correct paperwork when they reach the window and 3/5 people were sent to the tax assessors office. The max time I waited was 45 minutes on a Friday with walk-ins only. This place is also CASH ONLY or personal checks. There is no atm, they do not accept debit nor credit cards. The people working there are polite but they do not give you all the information unless asked. Ask on the phone what is everything I need to get this done on the first visit.

I went in because I needed a copy of my title for my 2014 Kia Soul because we lost it somehow. The car has been paid off for four years, I had all paper work ready that I needed or so I thought because I was requesting in person and not by mail. Well I waited almost an hour for the lady at number 6 to be very rude to me, barely look at my paper work and say that I need to call Kia Motors and call them to send paper work that proves the release of Lien! WHAT?! The car is paid for! She was quick to shoe me away like a fly lol . Rudest DMV ever! Felt like a prisoner waiting for a hearing of something lol! I wish I could give this place zero stars!

Lots of disappointment in my visit. I was at the Regional Office a few weeks ago & I waited well over an hour to get called. Then the lady said I had all the wrong documents. Ok, fine, I left & took my 45 min drive back to my side of town & finally return this week. After waiting just short of another hour, the lady told me that my plates were not eligible for the refund. Mind you, this was my second time to this location, and there was another visit to my local area Tax Assessors office. That local office sent me to the regional office. Nevertheless, there has been A LOT of wasted time & run around for something that apparently can't be done. I'm amazed at the lack of help provided here. The office is very fast if you only have a question or you need a certified copy of your title. If you need anything else, there is very little helpfulness going on there.To add, this office does not do title transfers nor registration renewals, and they only take cash or checks as a form of payment if they actually can provide you with a service.Lastly, that self check-in kiosk is super confusing, especially for people who do not really know what they need or what category that falls under.Save yourself some time & call to see what papers you need before going.This place really needs an operational over hall to better serve the customers.

I have to come here often for work. The gals here are always so friendly and helpful! Sometimes its a bit slow but that's ANY DMV. Shout out to everyone there for providing fast and friendly service

Getting a copy of a lost certificate of title is in less than an hour, despite several people ahead of me. I didn't have an appointment, but I did get a number as soon as I walked in the front door. I just followed what the person ahead of me did. This was less than an hour before closing time on a Friday afternoon. So, I'm very satisfied! In addition, staff on the phone and in the building were helpful and pleasant to talk to.

I made an appointment online was late for it so I didn't get that one. Naturally, I immediately made another appointment right there on the spot for about 30 minutes later. All was going well until I kept getting errored out when I came back to check in. The kiosk and I almost went out to the parking lot to settle it the old school way, but everything worked out. It registered me after a couple (88) ((exaggerated)) of tries.
