Skipping hygienic cleaning hotel standards when cleaning is city health codes violation which a GM has approved to open the hotel. QHR administration believes they are "above" the law because they are headquarters in Dallas mainly an all anglo hotel management company simply the owner of the hotel doesn't care.Under Starwood hotel operations were smooth but now under Marriott it's the opposite. Marriott really doesn't like diversity like Starwood hotels was a kind hotel company with perseverance for life.poor management by CEO hurt Starwood hotels concepts. The GM in the past has rushed cleaning standards to open the hotel . The GM loves to lies she been called out numerous times by people that caught her. She will get her staff to lie for her. Her best friend is the area manager. Simple her and her crew are mean girls. So many Hispanic staff have worked here brought the exciting resilience of being Hispanic in south Texas and the growth of the west coast but QHR will make the work environment toxic eventually people quit.Hotels cost a lot of money to maintain the owner of the hotel is lazy. That simple if the owner of the hotel isn't motivated for the hotel it's best not to even give them a penny. This hotel at one point had a good operations. Lower Blanco road very historic gathering unity of the west coast to it's character but Hotel owner and management capitalize on taking advantage of other people's money.

Conveniently located next to freeway, Target and some restaurants….However, at around 6am I started hearing all the semi’s making deliveries, I would book on the second floor, probably more quiet

My room had no hot water and the hotel staff knew about the issue and still rented out the rooms without disclosing the problem. When I asked about the hot water issue they said they know about it and it’s not affecting all rooms but the temperature could reach 84 degrees. There were no other rooms available with hot water so i suffered through it.The floors of the room turned my feet black from walking across the room with cold damp feet after taking a cold shower. They must only be sweeping the floor and never mopping the floor to actually clean it. Very disgusting. And to top it off the coffee was cold and never fresh regardless of the time of morning I headed out for the day (6am-6:45am)Marriott should be embraced by this facility.

Overall a decent little hotel. The “24 hour shuttle service” that’s is advertised is only 4am-10pm so be advised if your flight leaves/arrives outside of these hours you will have to taxi/uber to your destination. (Didn’t find this out until we arrived). Had we known we would have probably stayed elsewhere as this was the final factor that made us choose ALoft over others that were cheaper with the same amenities in the area. They also had a hot water issue. The hot water would work at certain times and then other times it wouldn’t. It was hit or miss. The room also felt very muggy when above 73 degrees which was weird. The bar was cheap though ($3 drinks) so that was good and convenient. Also if you’re not into dogs then don’t stay here! There were dogs all over the place and barking in rooms throughout the day. But, If you’re a dog person and will be traveling with one then this is definitely the place for you. Again, overall the hotel is decent for the area it’s in and being close to the airport.Nearby activities: Bowling/arcade right next door. Alamo draft house with movies and comedy club next door as well. Eating and shopping really close. Highway 410 is right outside of the hotel so easy access if you need to get across town.

The location is about the only thing good about this hotel. The rooms ceilings weee extremely dirty and beds were itchy. I paid 650 for two rooms while staying for two nights. They charged me an extra 351 and when I call they say they have no record of it. The sliding door to the shower and toilet was falling off the rails, I informed three employees and all three said I would not be charged and it would be fixed.

Front Desk for rep, professional and helpful. Hotel does need updates, the tile in the bathroom is very outdated, carpets, within the room and around the hotel have faded blotches and spots, the walls are in need of painting. No ice machine on the floor, or microwave, you have to go down in the lobby to get an ice bag. no information in the hotel, about the hotel or surrounding restaurants, etc..Safety: Very safe the entire tripWalkability: Many little strip malls in walking distance, with restaurants, breakfast places, Target, etc.

The location was great. The front desk staff were nice to. The room was below average. It seemed as if the converted a parking structure into a hotel by looking at the ceiling. My room was dusty and hand prints were still on the glass in the shower. When I left house keeping was next door I asked if she could clean the room when I got back four hours later it was still dirty. I cut my trip short. That says enough…
