We found out about this place through a teacher (Gunnery Sargent, MCJROTC) at my son’s school who stables a horse and has his son practice riding there. We went and checked it out and fell in love, with everything. The grounds, owner, staff, everything. So my son took a riding lesson and he left so comfortable and confident about riding. His goal is riding and roping. I definitely think he’ll learn all the skills he needs to accomplish his goal here. This will be our home away from home for awhile I’m sure. Highly recommend!

We love coming here. The riding instructions are clear and simple with 1:1 attention. My kids are better riders for having come here.

My experience here was awful. To give some background, I am confident on horses. I ride horses at university and have certain ways that i like to do things because of how i was taught. I was also asked to join the stockhorse team that my school has, which is not offered to everyone, so i am not a complete idiot when it comes to riding. As i was saddling my horse, i was told by Bill that everything i was doing was wrong. I took his advice and did things his way after explaining i am doing things the way i was taught, since i know that everyone does things differently. After saddling, i go to the mounting block that is used where i was told that i do not know how to mount properly. Was then also told that instructors at university had no idea what they were doing, either. (I can guarantee that they do know what they're doing). Once in the arena i started walking and warming up my horse, however that's all i could do. With the exception of SOME trotting, all we could do was walk and not even change directions. I paid $50 to walk in one direction (no loping at all). After about an hour and a half, i got off. Once i was in the barn, i was stopped and told i did not know how to lead a horse. I have worked with and ridden horses for a while now so I'm pretty sure i know how to lead a horse. I was then asked the name of the instructor (who is a woman), once telling Bill her name, i was told that was why i didnt know anything, because i was taught by women. That was my last straw. Once I untacked, i left. I understand that people have different ways of teaching, but this was extremely unprofessional and very disrespectful. I'm not an idiot, so i expect to not be treated and talked to like one. Bill then offered an "apology" but not to my face. No refund offered.Horses did not seem to be in that great of condition either. Will not be back and will not recommend.

Great place for boarding, lessons or birthday parties! Mr. Bill is great with the kids! The lessons teach the kids so much more than riding. They also learn to groom, saddle, muck and life lessons. My daughter Has been taking lessons for the last 4 months and we are happy with her progress in the program. We just hosted my daughter’s birthday party there and everyone had a blast! Easiest party ever!

I bring my kid here for riding classes every Saturday. Bill, the cowboy, is awesome and very dedicated to his farm, horses and employees. This is a place where you can learn a true Texan style of horseback riding.

I began taking lessons at RTW back in April 2020 when myself and some friends were going stir crazy being cooped up. Never did I expect to be welcomed into such an amazing group of people. Bill, the owner and trainer, has so much experience and he loves to share it with others. He sometimes gets a little stern but only to be sure you understand the gravity of the safety and horsemanship that he is attempting to instill in his riders. Now I am a boarder as well as a rider and couldn't be happier with it. If there are any questions you may have someone will have an answer for you, whether it be Bill or one of the fantastic riders or parents. I have ridden other places and no where else have I learned as much and as quickly as I have at RTW. There are 3 levels of lessons on Saturday, the advanced by invitation only in the morning and intermediate and beginner after lunch. There is something for every level!

This is a proper Texan experience. My daughter loves the group lessons - kids want to be around other kids.not only are they teaching traditional riding in a safe area , you are expected to saddle and un saddle the horse , feed, etc. it's called work and learning. Expect to get a little dirty. The service will be a little harsh for safety - horses are kept in good control and kids will be commanded to keep this beautiful horses in control.

I took a basic lesson recently. I hadn't been on a horse in about 15 years so this beginner lesson was right at my comfort level. I still have 1 lesson left so I will be back soon! Friendly, country folk. Gorgeous facility. Nice horses. Thank You!

Learned how to ride here! Bill is a great authentic cowboy who will teach you how to be a great rider and do it safely. Definitely would recommend Bill and his stables.
