My husband had to wait in the ER on a gurney in the hall for over 8 hours before getting a room in the ER. He had pneumonia, and this made it much worse. Once in a regular hospital room, it was 2.5 days before the overloaded general doctor started giving him his regular meds. In the meantime, his blood pressure was near 200 because the doctor was too busy to order the meds from the hospital pharmacy. This use to be a great hospital. It's really changed. The staff is WAY overloaded.

Very rude and unprofessional. Sister (college student) went in to get smashed finger checked out. Told her to move and get out of chair. She ended up going to a different place because of how she was being treated. Do not recommend.

I was very disappointed in the treatment that my mother received, she went to the surgical center to have a procedure done and when she got out of recovery her oxygen levels were low, the doctor who performed the procedure highly recommended that she get admitted across the street to the hospital so she can be monitored and watch the swelling on her eye, her procedure was @1:00 that day she was sent over with admission paperwork around 4:00pm . The staff at the ER kept telling her they were really busy and they were still waiting on a bed to become available, well this never happened my mother spent the night in the ER her eye swelled up she was in a lot of pain they never offered her anything to drink not to mention she had not eaten anything since the day before they didn’t seem to care, I’m truly disappointed in the way she was treated oh and she is 74 years old. Would you want your mother treated this way .

My father went into the ER Saturday evening (08/31) for stomach pain. He was diagnosed with gallstones. He had an endoscopy on Tuesday (09/03). He is staying in tower C. The doctors took a sample from the endoscopy to get a biopsy. Well, it turns out that the sample that was collected turned out to not be a good one, so he needs to go back under general anesthesia to get another sample. Everyday it’s the same story. The nurses and doctors all tell him that he will have his procedure done, so they restrict him from eating, then everyday we get zero communication. It isn’t until around 5-6pm when my dad is starving that the nurses and or doctors come into his room and tell him that his procedure was cancelled for the day, so he can eat. He is still at the hospital and it’s been almost a week. No procedure, no gallbladder removed, no communication WHATSOEVER!! It is infuriating. Highly HIGHLY DO NOT recommend this hospital. The staff is kind, but clueless. There is no communication between nurses and doctors and family. We’re going back and forth everyday with no answers. It’s a struggle not only for my family, but my dad who is confined to a hospital room all day while doing long periods of fasting in hopes of getting on the schedule, just to be disappointed. Zero stars if possible.

All I wanted to do was to talk to the billing department about a bill. Can't even speak to an actual person to help me understand why my bill was so high. Terrible customer service.

Dr. Is Awesome. Been going here for a very long time. Office staff not so good. Miss the old people who worked before. I am looking for another location. They just don't care anymore!

I had the worst experience with the Emergency Room at Medical City Plano on September 9, 2023. I went at 6:30 PM and they started doing tests at 8 pm. Nurses were not coming to see me even after calling them multiple times and gave me some sleeping drug without consent. They were not giving me water even after asking them multiple times. Doctor finally came at 2am to see what tests were done and said that she doesn't need to see Xray but need MRI so they sent me for MRI again and Doctor saw MRI and said you can stay here under observation since you have already spent half the night here then they shifted me to a Xray room that had divider and said that they need to give me a medication at 6 am. Then I kept asking someone to observe but nobody came. Someone came at 10am and said I was not supposed to get any medication so they lied to keep me in the hospital in a space which was super loud as they had emergency cases for Xray. I had migraine pain after that. On top of it, they charged me 33000 for the whole experience.

I had the best experience ever on my labor & Delivery.
All the staff were amazing.
I want to give a thousand stars to the nurses specially to Sommer, she was amazing and was agile and super helpful.
She notice that my baby was with elevated heart rate and she was fast to resolve the situation till they sent me to a C-section. Another amazing nurse it was Sierra. She was the sweetest lady ever. Jennifer was amazing too and Irene.
I’m so grateful to all of those people and the doctors. Dr Abraham was great checking on my little one, Dr Davolio that did an excellent job in my C-section and Dr Means that took care of me through my whole pregnancy.
Thank you guys for taking such a good care of us.
I wish I could give 1000 stars.

All I see is grieving loved ones trying to see the one they love. But THIS Hospital will make you wait the infinite hour or so just to be able to see the ones you love. Terrible big headed front office, terrible customer service. Overall just utter garbage. They should just tear down and rebuild because this place is a UTTER embarrassment. Period.

I would not recommend this hospital A tower 3rd floor. Have a family member currently here no one has come to clean up the room trash on floor in the room from nurses and other employees when they take off masks and gloves if they miss the trash can. A needle used to draw blood has been in the middle of the floor for two days also. It takes 15 minutes or longer to get help in the room if you need it. I guess they look at it if a person is up in age they don't care.

I was a patient in ER . The PA Paul took time to listen to my issues. The CT technologist was all amazing. I could tell that Pratima, Morgan and Tesfa worked as a great team to be fast and efficient for my scan and they explained the scan to me in full detail .

Update 08/14/24 No change, no parking spots in the designated patient spots and I arrived early before mine, and any of the other doctor's offices had opened yet. Around 730 am.
This is more about the administration than the hospital itself. They don't care about patients. I have been coming here for years to see a doctor almost twice a month, and the parking garage for patients is always full of employees' cars. I see.
Elderly patients and moms with strollers have to park at the top of the garage and make a long walk. It is very frustrating to see younger people in scrubs getting out of all the cars adjacent to the building and on the first floor of the garage.
Update, no change. Drove in this morning and same issues at 745 with full lot of all the close spaces, people in scrubs getting out of the cars and no one monitoring.

Sent my father home with the wrong dose steroid, then they wouldnt call me back with instruction as to how to fix the issue. NO clear instruction on the discharge papers as to how to tapper off steroids from the hospital and instead dramatically dropped the amount the day he was released. IF YOU WANT TO SEE YOUR LOVED ONES TAKEN CARE OF I SUGGEST GOING ELSE WHERE. HORRIBLE MEDICAL FACILITY, UNETHICAL, AND EXTREMELY POOR DIRECTIONS. DO NOT GO TO MEDICAL CITY PLANO IF YOU WANT TO SEE YOUR LOVED ONES THRIVE AND SURVIVE.

I have been to this hospital twice and the care here is amazing! Everyone here is wonderful. The food here is actually some of the best I have eaten. The care you receive from each department is top notch.
