April 2023 by Jacqueline C.
On April 7th, I and three girls I (my cousin, sister, and my friend) decided to book with Tina. At first, when booking, she had the date available for sat April 29th, then on Wednesday the 12th, I received a text saying she will "be out of town and wouldn't be able to do that day "I then told her it was fine and since I'm leaving out of town for a whole month next month so it had to be this weekend. She said that was fine. When we showed up she said she had a sketch of our tattoos but was trying to find them for over 5 min, which showed me they were just printed online which is fine because that's how simple the tattoos were. Before we proceeded to get the tattoo I asked how much it would be for the two I was wanting, which were the "love yourz and "vis ta vie" for 5 small words she said $175. I did think that was a little pricy but since it was for both I was okay with paying that, but at the time of payment, she said she "never heard" I said both. I was with my little cousin and we both clearly heard her say that amount. Her response was "I assumed you meant just one". After that, she apologized and said, "Two tattoos can not be less than the original tattoo prices. I think we all misunderstood each other. But I will take the blame. again, I apologize." How are you going to assume what we are talking to you about and not get clarification after I say for both? I also looked at her policy and it says "The price is determined by a number of factors but typically runs between $150 and up. Each tattoo has a minimum price of $100 to cover design and stencil making" Let me just tell you, at the time of the appointment she printed the design from her iPad after she searched for what we wanted online, so it was never designed by her. She used the same tattoo needle for both of our tattoos we each got. Again, when my cousin asked her what her price would be for the "love yourz" and a simple J with a small heart next to it she said it would be $25 more which would make it $125 that day since we had already left a $50 deposit totaling to be $175. As I said, we asked for the total for both, then at the time of payment, she said she only meant the second tattoo individually. She used the same needle for both tattoos and she was charging $125 for just a letter and a simple heart?! When she clearly said it will only be $25 more? How does 25 go to 125 AGAIN FOR A LETTER AND A HEART?!! For all the small 7 tattoos, it was $1000?!! A THOUSAND DOLLARS IS HALF OF A SLEEVE. The tattoos were so small they wouldn't even take up our whole hand. It's insane how much she charged us and switched up the numbers all of a sudden. She did apologize and said "I TAKE THE BLAME" If you're admitting to being in the wrong and not doing anything about it, your words mean nothing to me. We went to Tina because she's a female and since it was my friend's and cousin's first tattoo, I thought they would be more comfortable. They had the worst experience since they paid double what they had been told since people are just now "assuming". I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN. NOT TO MENTION SOME OF THE TATTOOS LOOK SHAKY AND UNEVEN OF WHERE THEY WERE PLACED.

I recently took a 3day training class with Tina and i really enjoyed the training, not only she has a lot of knowledge bit was very open to share everything she knew about PMU , very sweet and kind and i felt very comfortable asking her all the questions i had, love the fact that she doesn’t do “advanced trainings” she said to me this is all i know and what works best! and there’s nothing but great things to say about her and her studio.

I absolutely love the chic boutique look when walking through the doors. It lets you know are definitely about to be pampered and receive the utmost professional cosmetic service done. I had the permanent eyeliner done recently because I love to do the cat eye look with eyeliner, but this can be time consuming especially when you are having an "off day." NOW I wake up with beautiful subtle liner on my eyes and if if choose to make my eyes more dramatic then I have an incredible tracing line to start with. This has been such a time saver and I wish I would have done it sooner however I was very fearful of doing it because of the pain...but let me tell you...Tina prepped my eye beautifully and I did not feel a thing. Sooooo worth the investment from a time and money perspective....2 things you can never have enough of in this world and Tina helped give them back to me.

Brow lamination is something that has been on my radar for months now and I figured I would finally get them done as a small birthday gift to myself. First critique is that there their scheduling app is not user friendly. I was originally going to book with Tina Oakley (the owner) for my brow lam but wanted to add the Henna tint for an extra $25 and was confused because there wasn't an option for me to do so even though it says I could via the lamination description.I've dealt with salons/beauty techs that are very particular about you booking the right service for scheduling reasons so I called the salon to see I could just schedule my appointment over the phone (ya know...like how we used to do in the good o'days??!) but no one answered. Not even a minute after hanging up I get a text message acknowledging my phone call and asking if I had any questions. I've never had that happen before so to say I was impressed with an understatement. I mentioned that I was looking to get a lam/tint for the 20th and they asked if I had a certain tech I wanted to work with. I decided not to mention Tina and just asked that they give me the best they got since it was for my birthday and their response was that Abby was the only one working that day and to book via the link in her Instagram bio. I did think that was a bit weird because it pretty much let book Tina for a brow lam that day but again I didn't go through with it because I wanted to confirm that I would be able to get a tint as well. More on that later... I decided to go ahead with the booking and originally chose a noon appointment time frame, filled out my address and CC information (their scheduling app requires that info for the deposit) and clicked confirm only to be told that "the appointment time I picked was too early"?????? Not sure why a scheduling website would give me hours to choose from that are either already booked or before business hours but this website did just that. I guess this is how it let me book Tina even Abby was the only one working that day. It was going to wait until I put in all my information and clicked submit...only to tell me that time/tech wasn't available. Arrived at my scheduled time and was greeted by a clipboard on the front desk. I wasn't sure it was for me until I saw the Brow Lamination disclaimer and quickly filled it out. Abby popped out and greeted me and said something I couldn't hear BECAUSE THE MUSIC WAS SO LOUD OMG! I get quite a few beauty services so I'm used to techs playing music but they usually have it on a semi-low volume that's easy to tune out if you concentrate hard enough. Abby had that s*** turned up like we were at a club in Miami and as someone who usually counts any service where I have to keep my eyes closed for longer than five minutes as nap time I couldn't have been more irritated. I thought maybe I was being a grumpy pants and that it was just the salon culture they have until another tech arrived with their client and proceeded to turn it down so...clearly it's not. For the actual brow lam everything seemed to be going fine (it's been so long since I've been around perm/relaxer like chemicals that I've forgotten how bad they smell) until we talked shape. I mentioned that I usually get my brows threaded and like them on the thicker side with a high arch and always give the feedback to "clean them up" versus "do whatever" so that she wouldn't take too much off. I guess she took that as I didn't really want them waxed because she SHAVED my eyebrows with what I can assume is one of the face razor blades (not for sure since ya know...my eyes were closed). I blame myself because I should have spoken up and asked why the hell was she was shaving my eyebrows when she should be waxing them but we'll just chalk that up to Mistake #3. I even double checked the brow lamination description to verify that it said WAX not shave and it does but it also said shape so I guess if they have to do a light sh

I’ve been visiting Tina since December of last year and I have to say she is amazing! My brows have never had a better shape. She even made my problematic skin GLOW and helped fix my acne problems. To top it all off she super friendly, and works with you on achieving your goals. I wouldn’t want anyone else to touch my face or wax me!

I’m not sure about the review of Bella because I’ve had brows, liner, and lips. All were amazing. I have actually gone back for repeat services on everything, that is how much I’ve enjoyed the results. I have also referred many of my friends to her. They have all been happy. Tina and everyone at her salon are extremely talented and very professional!! FYI- with covid, the sterile atmosphere is top notch!!!

Wonderful experience! Professional atmosphere, beautiful and clean salon! Tina made me feel comfortable from the moment I contacted her about an appointment. She retouched my permanent eyeliner and gave new beautiful lips! Told my friend I need to figure out something else to have done so I can go back!!

Not only Tina did a terrible job on my lips but she is a very unhappy person with bad energy. My lips look the same as before, all that pain and money for nothing! Don't waste your money with her, she is not professional and will do anything to take your money. Always ask for HEALED pictures, that tells you if the artist is professional and knows what they're doing. Tina is not an artist and terrible at what she does. I will never recommend her work to anyone. RUN from this place!

This was the first time I have ever done anything to my brows so I was nervous. Abby did an amazing job. They look natural and are exactly what I wanted. Plus the place is super cute inside
