Got all the feel goods when I brought in my built 6.1 SRT 300. Had a bad lifter and cam damage. Craig articulated my options nicely, and I felt comfortable with the amount of money I was about to spend. After I got the car back 6 or 8 months later, it was smoking. He suggested driving it longer than the initial break-in period. Still smoking. He suggested a catch can. Tried that, still smoking. Told him I'd gladly pay if it were an unrelated problem and asked to bring it back to the shop, and that's where my feel goods turned sour. When I first I brought the car in, there was no real wait, but when I wanted to bring it back, suddenly there's 10 cars ahead of me and he said it would be months before he could look at it. Waited 2 or 3 months, contacted him and now he says I could throw 10k his way and it wouldn't make the line any shorter. He promised I was in his "line" and he'd call me when I could bring it back. Fast forward a year, I call and leave a message. Never got back to me. I wait another month or so, call again and no response. Tried one last time this past December and he's still ghosting me. Chasing the problem with another mechanic would've cost a fortune. After a couple years or more, I fell out of love with the dream car I was building and sold it at a huge loss. I'd put 14k into that motor, but it was a hard sale with the mystery problem.

My 16 year old son was interested in buying a used car from a nearby dealership. Bevil Automotive was not only super accommodating by agreeing to do a same day pre-purchase inspection, they did an extremely thorough evaluation and explained everything in detail including repair/replacement costs. This allowed my son to make an informed decision when deciding whether or not to purchase the vehicle. I was referred to Bevil Automotive from Dallas Off Road, and I am very happy that I took their advice. Craig is an exceptionally well-versed mechanic I would trust him with any vehicle that I have he's worked on my vehicles before recently about a week ago he worked on my truck replace the serpentine belt and replaced a tensioner bar and it was wonderful my truck does not screw anymore it does not squeak I like his work he is professional and he's really good with the pricing I have never had a problem with the way he is charging me for the things that he's done I'll go back there again as soon as I can which will be in spring and he will fix my air conditioning and I trust him with that so Craig you're awesome dude I really like coming out to your shop I'll be back!
