I bought a pair of Olathe boots about 1986. I've had them resoled and reheeled several times over the years and they're still going strong. At that time I never thought I'd ever pay what I did for a pair of boots but it's turned out to be one of the best purchases I've ever made. At the time, the salesman told me that the only parts of the boots not made of leather were the thread holding the sole together and the rubber heel cap. Made of bullhide, this has been the longest wearing pair of boots I've ever owned. I don't know how much longer I'll be able to hold on to them since boot repair shops are few and far between anymore. I'd like to buy a new pair but I can't even find Olathe boots in stores anymore. Most salespeople today have never even heard of them. Reading the reviews posted here it sounds like the quality of the product has really gone down, but I guess that's not too surprising in this day and age. Remember Tony Lama boots? Can't find them anymore either. I think the same thing happened to Olathe boots. They got bought out and the quality went out the door.

I bought a 2nd hand pair from a local Thrift Store for 15 dollars about 10 years ago. These are the only boots I have had that have lasted any amount of time. They were left outside for a time, a mouse ate part of the leather, the boot is scuffed, the leather looks well beat, I have replaced the soles of them from anywhere from 6-8 times and replace the insole about yearly from how much i wear them. Absolutely the best boots I have ever owned.

I've know Olathe boots since the 70s and am wearing an old pair now. I'm worried on the reviews saying about quality issues!! Being American made they should be better! They should hire me! LOL

I have worn boots my whole life and these are some of the best made and comfortable boots I have ever worn. I would recommend AB to anyone, however I would not use the redraft services. I had one pair recrafted and could no longer wear them when I received them back.

We purchased a very expensive pair of boots and before we had them not even a year they had begin to rip. We were thankful that the establishment we bought them from agreed to ship them back and Anderson Bran agreed to fix them however it’s been a year since we received them.

I bought a pair of Brown Mule Tall tops for my ranch foreman a year and a half, ago. He wore the boots for about 2 months and the heel counter came loose inside the right boot. The first time I sent them to be warranty repaired the boots were returned within 6 months with the Heel of the sole re-capped. Wow we missed that by a mile even with written instructions. Sooo, we returned them again in May of 2017 and this time they did attempt to repair the heel counter with glue. I was able to pull the repair work loose with my finger nail, which by the way is much less pressure than a heel pushing down as you put the boot on. The box the boots were returned in a box that has "Re-Crafted with Pride in Mercedes, tx". I am guessing they are proud of doing poor repair work I have learned a $350.00 lesson NO MORE OLATHE BOOTS for our men.

I've been Wearing Olathe Boots since the 1960s,all have been Great Boots but about 4 or 5 months ago I bought a new pair.I wore them to Chruch on Sunday January 1 2017 went to work on Monday and the Soles are coming apart I called the Factory on Monday I tried to talk to the Olathe Boot Rep.and I've left my phone number and Address even my email address here it's Wednesday and I called again but nothing. My Mother used to sell Boots for 20 years and when ever they had a pair of Defective Boots the Maker made it right by replacing them. Evidently Olathe doesn't take Pride in their Boots any longer, yes they would've reattached the Soles for me if I would send them to them. It would only take 4 to 6 weeks to get them back. I don't know about you but I'm a working Cowboy and my Boot Man will fix them a Lot Faster he sold them to me. Even he thinks it's wrong Thank God he will Stand behind what he sells. I Don't Know If I'll Buy another pair of their Boots and I was wanting a pair.Olathe USED TO BE QUALITY BUT I DON'T THINK SO ANYMORE!
