My 9 y/o loves going here for the cozy vibe, she does not drink coffee obviously, but the Starbucks aroma and books are her thing. So good place to spend some time and some money.

Have always like to visit B/N with my kids.. They get to find some kids books to read while I look at some possible reads too and then visit Starbucks for a small snack and drink while relaxing.

Awesome place to take the kids! Got them two books and we had a mini adventure inside the store. Staff is always amazing. We got the 10% off card and a book tote that they Offered which made our trip even better!

Before I had my kids I used to find an excuse to go to Barnes and Nobles. I loved going in there to see all the books and the inviting aroma of coffee from Starbucks. Since I had my kids its been more than 8yrs I had not been to Barnes and Nobles in McAllen. Sometimes life circumstances unable us to go. I had told myself when I have my kids I would love to take them and buy books at Barnes and Nobles. On Thursday, September 28th, 2023 I took my kids for the first time. My daughter was happy to see her favorite Anime characters and her favorite book titles. My son enjoys video games and comic books. We did glanced thru the kids aisle and some adult for myself. We had a great experience. Thank you, I hope to you all out there. I do recommend this bookstore. I love it! There are books for all ages. I plan to continue taking my kids back to Barnes and Nobles.

Customer service was lacking big time. If you hate people and working in a bookstore it's time to move on. Also the cashier at the front Nikki was super rude and she really needs to learn about Customer service. The guy who dresses like a lumberjack with red hair needs to loosen his manbun and also learn Customer service skills. Also, they need to learn alphabetical order and clean the store. It smelled like pee and like something died in the store. In regards to the café it was dirty and I swear I saw a couple roaches on the bakery items. This store is such a bad example of how a B&N should be. Shut down this location!Go to the other location in McAllen they actually care and have more than 4 books of an popular author. Also pretty sure they have actual Customer service skills and their store is clean and does not smell like a dead animal and pee.Horrible store. Horrible employees. This is why people buy online or from other stores. Read the reviews and make changes!

Nice quiet place to catch up on your daily news or simply just finish that book you're been meaning to own.

Very nice place, have been buying books there since I was in college( a little over a decade ago), I still going there to read a book, work on my laptop or grab a coffee, what I love the most is their location. Unfortunately I can't go as often because of their schedule, can only go on weekends, cause they close way to early since the pandemic and haven't get their regular schedule back to normal, still recommend it if you have the time to go early, five stars, love Barnes and nobles? Just wish they got their normal hours back.

I had no problems locating a book I was looking for, everything is well organized. Book selection is as expected great, with deals on new releases and some BOGO half off. The prices are a little higher than the well-known online major compatitor, but you get to take a peek inside the book and touch it prior to deciding which one to get, plus the in-store experience is one of a kind. There's also a café inside to buy coffee and snacks. Also, customer service is great, friendly and helpful. Highly recommend shopping at Barnes and Noble, mostly for the experience you get for being surrounded by actual books and for a relaxing atmosphere.

I enjoyed walking through this huge bookstore…loved the maze of fiction works. Wishing the store had some newspapers like Barrons, but the store has a good location…

A very clean, friendly and nice environment inside the library.. my kids love going to read books and just spend some family time, but the restrooms could do better, I suggest to whomever is in charge of the restrooms cleaning to invest in some Air Fresheners and place them around the restroom for the bad smell that stays in there. I have gone to other places restrooms and have these, don't take me wrong, but who doesn't love going to a clean and good smelling restroom.
