I’ve found a treasures as far as Master Manicurists go, Teresa at Avante is the best one I’ve found in Mansfield, coming to see her for a pedicure on Thursday, she’s professional, kind, friendly, smart and great at what she does; I highly recommend her.
Specialties: The line of body oils they sell is excellent! I purchased the Kérastase, Elixir Ultimate it’s good for skin, hair, feet, and dry skin.

My mom randomly texted me “I want a makeover” and we hadn’t seen each other in two years. She asked me to make it close to her home in Mansfield & we would do a spa day together. I am in marketing and fully understand that it sucks to get a bad review - so this pains me to write it.
Our facials were good, simple. I had expected a more cleansing, extractions type of experience. But the one they chose for us was the signature facial, and that’s just a feel good one. I had asked for an anti-aging cleansing one when booking and they said this was the best.
My mom did hair and makeup next. I had requested a “seasoned” hairstylist and makeup artist because she’s 60 and didn’t know what to do. She was going to need a little extra influence. The girls that helped my mom were absolutely the sweetest… however, they were quite young. And my mom walked away with a trim. No real help. And her make up was cute, but she was hinting she needed something darker… I think she didn’t know what to do.
Onto pedicures together. 1. It’s not a traditional set (chair/tub) - it’s a chair and small water tub they have to bring in. I got the girl that did my mom’s makeup. Again, the most precious girl. But I think it was her first time doing a pedicure. Something I paid $68 for took an hour and 1/2 of that was removing my gel nail polish that I was not only charge for, but done with a little pain involved. My mom’s feet were done in 30 mins (again? $68…) I think it would be better for the company to just explain they don’t have nail technicians available for the day.
I hate hate hate even mentioning all this but I feel like for the $600+ that we spent, it absolutely wasn’t worth that amount. I actually ended up just cancelling my blow out, because I didn’t feel like I wanted to continue with the services. The most beautiful part was spending time with my mom. Everything else was just… okay. I gave it 3 stars bc the team was so sweet. I think I would’ve given less just based on services/cost.

Stylist: As a former hairstylist, I can’t say enough great things about Stephanie. She is so talented and I’ve never not been happy with her Balayage hilites. She makes my hair look so natural and beautiful! I keep coming back to her because I’ve tried other salons and stylists but it’s never as good as her!! Not only that she has the sweetest personality!

Specialties: I have curly, very thick hair, and Shaul did an amazing job!
Hair type: Mid back, curly, very thick hair. We took off 5 inches and added many layers
Stylist: Shaul did a beautiful shag cut on my curly, thick hair and it turned out beautifully. She walked me through every step, listened when I wanted changes, and overall just made the experience wonderful. She has a great personality and is a talented stylist. I will definitely be back!

Just left my massage with Renee. She was good. However, my husband made the apt and he was quoted $105.. I left a $25 tip and the total bill was $164.16. I asked why he quoted a different price and the recordings said she didn’t know but she’s sorry. It’s not Renee’s fault but they lied about their price. That is honestly too pricey for the massage and I wouldn’t have had the massage had I known they’d change it. They should have provided better customer support and honored their price. I told her I would be leaving this review and she said ok. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

Definitely a 5/5 star cut. I booked with Baylee Moreland and she did a phenomenal job. 100% recommend. She was so helpful when it came to figuring out how exactly I wanted my hair cut. She was so sweet and made my day go from a 5/10 to a 10/10. THANK YOU BAYLEE!!!

I just moved here and have been looking for a salon. Shaul did my haircut and nailed it! 10/10. She was extremely knowledgeable about products and hair. I have hair anxiety and she was understanding, compassionate and definitely earned my trust! Plus, we had fun chatting! Can’t wait to go back!

Leaving this review on behalf of my boss, Kelly Strausser. Emilee has been cutting his family’s hair for over 14 years and is the best of the best. The salon itself is always so clean and welcoming, and the staff are all friendly and personable. Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed!

UPDATED—See below for update. I have been going to this salon for well more than 5 years now. I have always left happy and satisfied. I have recommended this salon to many people. I have tried all levels of stylists and the great thing was that you can expect consistency because they put their stylists through a long in-house training program before they graduate them to higher levels. So you could expect similar results from a level 1 stylist all the way up to a level 6 stylist.
But after last night, NEVER AGAIN WILL I BE RETURNING HERE! Well, I left in tears yesterday after taking my precious daughter there for a haircut. I had a long talk with the stylist of what my daughter wanted. I physically showed her where she wanted her hair cut to (shoulder length) and we discussed bangs, etc. The stylist says she will cut her hair dry to begin with to remove some of the length (and I’m talking she removed more than 9 inches). She starts cutting her hair in the back to the middle of her neck. If you ask me or anyone with eyes and a brain, this is already above shoulder length. When I immediately questioned why she was doing that, she responded “the back is always cut shorter than the front.” After I returned from having my own hair shampooed, I can hear the stylist telling my daughter to keep her head still and her chin to her chest in a tone I felt inappropriate for an 8 year old client or any client for that matter. After a little longer, I look over to see she has now cut her hair TO ABOVE HER CHIN. The stylist walks off for several minutes where I then proceed to tell the girl cutting my hair that that stylist has cut her hair way shorter than discussed. When she returned I asked her nicely to stop cutting the hair and that there was not going to be any bangs touched or any more length cut. She then proceeds to tell me that my daughter kept moving and she couldn’t get it even and had to keep cutting. I’m sorry, but if you are spending a near two full hours cutting on someone’s hair, it’s clear and obvious you don’t know what you’re doing in the first place. I can confirm to you that my daughter was in fact not moving as stated and she tried her best to keep her head down and her chin to her chest as the stylist requested but after almost TWO HOURS of that, who’s neck would not be hurting them?? (To the point she told me she had a headache afterwards) I was clearly displeased and felt hopeless for my precious daughter. The stylist blew it dry and didn’t even bother trying to make the back look cute. We left the salon, I did not pay for that haircut. My daughter was clearly embarrassed and asked me if she looked like a boy and was nervous what her friends would think. I now have to deal with my 8 year old being self-conscious, something that has literally never been an issue before. I know her hair can grow back but the irreparable damage has already been done to her self-esteem which has never even been a question before. I am so DISAPPOINTED AND FRUSTRATED. Avante has lost my business and I will be telling everyone I know about this horrifying experience as well.
UPDATE: The salon owner reached out to me promptly to rectify the situation. I appreciate her quick and thoughtful response. I would like to express as I did in my original review that I had not had an issue with Avante before this and they were always very consistent. This was a bad situation that the owner worked out to resolve and I appreciate her help with the matter. I will be giving them another chance to earn back our business.

Gabby gave me an excellent cut! She cuts exactly as I asked and feathers hair professionally! She styles perfectly! If you want a cut that is precise, even on both sides and all around, ask for Gabby!

Called to book a blow out. They did have availability however the stylist that worked on me a fairly new and didn’t know how to do a good blow out. More like a blow drying service that I could’ve done at home. I was quoted one price and when I came in the stylist asked if I wanted my hair to be glossy. I thought it was a special shampoo that was being used. It was never disclosed thay it was extra product for an extra cost. I was displeased with my service. Only thing that was decent was her curling, but I could’ve done the same at home. I was hoping for a good blow out so I didn’t have to curl it. Needless to say, I will not be return back to this salon.
A 10% was offered at the end but did not deliver on expectations to their 4.5 star review here.
Update: Veronica the manager reached out to offer a courtesy service for me and a guest based on my review. I declined and gave the feedback that I was unhappy leaving the salon, and it shouldn’t take a negative review for them to reach out. If it was taken care of at that, then time review wouldn’t have been written. She said if she would’ve known she would’ve gotten involved. Clearly the front desk girl knew I wasn’t walking out unpleased and didn’t try to get a manager involved. It’s sad that they don’t care about the customer until a bad review is written

The atmosphere is so relaxing. I love going on really and having a mimosa while being pampered. Emilie is the absolute best, and Gracie totally took care of my skin with an excellent facial treatment! My three girls and I have been clients for years! I highly recommend them. I feel like family when I walk in there! ❤️
