The best repairman around. He may be slow but it's definitely worth the wait. He always does the best work possible. They have had a lot of tragedy but they keep on keeping on.

I took an old riding lawn mower in for repair. The repair was minimal however my first call with quote was for 250.00 that was because I was told they needed to purchase a new head cylinder. On a follow up call I was told he had a used he could install instead and that would save some cost. At that point I did not really care if he had a new or used one as I had already approved the work and would have preferred the purchase of a new one. At the time of the second call he should have already received the ordered one anyway as it had already been 45 days. By the time the repairs were made and the mower was ready for pickup I had already made numerous unanswered telephone calls to the shop. when I did finally receive, a call back informing me that it was ready for pick up I was told the charges were up around $375.00+ due to additional work they had done over and above the job they quoted me. They wanted to charge me an extra $125.00 for work that was not approved. When I questioned the charges I was told they would re-check the figures and give me a follow up call. THAT never happened. I just decided to go up there to get my lawn mower.
I was told that they tried to call me numerous times but that was a lie.
(I hesitate to ever call anyone a liar but when I do it is because I have caught the person in a lie).
And it wasn't just one lie that had been told.
Now..
There were some good reasons (personal family reasons)for why it took so long for the repairs and for the lack of ongoing communications.
But not for the deception and price gouging. If this shop is to remain open I would say STAY AWAY... Take your business elsewhere. I only gave it one star because I had to in order to post the review.

Brought in my mower for warranty work (wouldn't start). I told the counter person that this was to be warranty work and she simply wrote on the work order "won't start" and that it would take a couple of weeks. I get a call from Hubbard about a month later and they said that the mower was ready. When I went to pick it up the charge was $98! Assuming that the repair was to be covered under warranty they said that warranty doesn't cover dirt in the carburetor and that they also replaced the spark plug, air filter and sharpened the blade. I said that they should have called me for authorization of the non-warranty work. They said that the W/O just said "won't start" and didn't mention warranty work and besides the warranty doesn't cover maintenance. I told them that not calling for authorization was poor business practice and that most of what they did I would have done myself if they would have contacted me. I grudgingly paid the $98. As I was leaving the lady behind the counter said "we always have problems with people who live to the south". (I live about 20 miles south of their location.) I will never use this unprofessional, bigoted business again!

Ask for advice on what was wrong with my blower they gave me some good advice and sold me a screen for carburetor cost me $2 and my blower works like new.they,ll have my business from now on .

Get all my blades sharpened here and occasional small engine work. If you're unsure if it would be worth fixing a machine or buying a brand new one, they will let you know. Their honesty will keep me coming back.

Very very slow service. I have been waiting on my for a month and only recently did they call for the warranty part that was backordered. I will drive my mower to Mineola or Tyler and be sure to ask how long the wait time is in the future.
