I paid full amount upfront and reserved a minivan. When I got there, the rep said they don’t have a minivan. I told him we have a lot of luggages and senior people and young kids. The rep was so shamelessly saying I can refund me without providing any helpful solution. He was trying to sell me the pickup truck and took me to the parking lot only trying to show me the pickup has more space than a sedan because I told him I need more space. Extremely rude representative there, no manager available. Ridiculous suggestion, urging us to drive a pickup truck on vacation when minivan is not available. Will never rent a car with this company. All other customers need to be careful, reservations with this company means nothing. They can cancel it as they wish without helping you at all, even it’s their fault. They can be comfortable leave you alone on Christmas Eve without cars

If I could put lower than 1 star I would. I reserved a car a week prior to flying home for Christmas, called the day prior to arrival to ensure we would have a car. Upon arrival was not given a car due to not having a major credit card even though we previously payed for vehicle and insurance online. We went with another company and got home okay. We were told we would be refunded in 3-5 business days because we DID NOT receive the car we payed for with Sixt. I just got an email that they REFUSED OUR REFUND. This company is bogus, the staff is not friendly, and they stole my money. Don’t let them steal yours.

I will never rent from this place again. The staff sent me from one location downtown to the airport and didn’t tell me the reservation would not transfer. Then I had to wait on hold for over 30 minutes to cancel the airport reservation because I had a reservation for a car I no longer wanted and the staff told me I would have just have to take that one or cancel the rest so they can set a new one and of course it wouldn’t let me go in cancel it. I have never ran across such an unhelpful process in my years of renting cars. Then I was told I the car I originally reserved wasn’t even available at the time but I couldn’t get the reservation changed. Never again!!!!

Jeremy made our rental experience with SIXT exceptional. He was kind enough to provide some top restaurants in Houston for us to check out while we were in town. We didn’t have a reservation and the entire process took only about 5 minutes. Our BMW was brand new, very clean and ran wonderfully. I will definitely be renting from SIXT every time I travel. Thank you again Jeremy for your outstanding customer service.

This is our first time renting from this company & we will always rent from them only in the future! They are open at 5am at IAH so we were able to get our car right away after our overnight flight. Excellent service picking up & dropping off! Our BMW SUV was epic!

Jeremy was the best! Never used this service before not sure if I ever want to use another now. We came in at 5am tired and with a 6 year old. He was so helpful even helped us with a easy upgrade. There needs to be more of people like this in the world. Not only did we feel like family but he gave us nice recommendations in the area. He was so friendly and the service was top notch compared to the other rentals in the building. Go see Jeremy at sixt rentals you won't be disappointed!

My driver's license has a chip in it. I was immediately turned away because of this. This was at 11:30pm. I had to demand to speak to a manager. The fellow behind the counter couldn't find my reservation without doing some digging. I would expect an online reservation to be readily available by the SIXT team.The vehicle I had reserved was not available, nor was another vehicle of the same class available, so I had to pay for an upgrade.Upon returning the car, the SXIT team member immediately went to a small rub mark on the rim (just like the photos another reviewer left). The team member went to the mark so quickly, I have no doubt he already new it was there. I never drove anywhere near anything that could have left a wear mark on the rim. I didn't take any photos that are zoomed in enough to the rim for the team member to determine if it was pre-existing, so I got hit up with a damage claim. They sent me a bill for $1,071 to have it repaired. Avoid SIXT, they are a scam.

Allow me to start by saying I am very displeased with my experience from renting cars through IAH airport in Houston Texas. I have had numerous go arounds and bad experiences that have been nothing less than problematic. I recently rented a car from Sixt who i did not prefer to rent from, however suppliers choice assigned me the company. I was very hesitant to rent from Sixt at the suppliers suggestion, based on the poor reviews that I had previously researched. Sixt held a $200 deposit on my American Express credit card on 10/25. They released the deposit on 10/30 and on the same day they sent me a seperate email stating claims damage. Furthermore, during pick up the Sixt representative was constantly trying to shove toll passes down my throat even after I told him i would only be traveling on the I10 which does not require toll fees. I also had a reservation for a uhaul that I drove the majority of my stay in Houston. For the most part ,the car had been parked as I had to move large furniture that wouldnt fit in a smaller vehicle. In addition I've had a handicap plaque card for the past four years which allows more space when parking. Furthermore i have a clean driving record of over 35 years. Getting to the meat and potatoes. I arrived to IAH a little after 4pm to depart on my 5:30pm flight. Sixt did not email me until over 13 hours after I dropped off the rental car that there was damage to the rim. Damage should have been evident sooner than 12 hours later. When i called to speak to a claims representative, she adamantly stated "If I don't provide pictures I don't have a case". Luckily I took pictures of the vehicle at drop off since I had a similar experience at this same airport with Hertz car rental earlier this year when they attempted to charge me $300 claiming I did not return the fob and that was later reversed upon them discovering it was their own employees fault that the fob had been misplaced. Please do your research before you rent from these car companies at IAH airport. Be very weary at IAH. The rental car companies will try to scam you. They will finesse you if they think they can. If you don't want to take my word for it, read Sixt rental car reviews on any website just like i did. DO NOT FALL FOR THE HYPE. Take heed to everyones experience and save yourself the trouble. Even if the rate is cheaper, it's a set up. That is exactly how they got me. They lower the rate to lure you in and then they attempt to scam you in the end with false excessive charges. My American Express credit card company is already on board to help investigate these false allegations.I have also filed a complaint with the BBB and the state attorney generals office. I will continue to spread my Sixt nightmare experience via word of mouth and wherever possible on the web until I am satisfied that this matter has been resolved. Sixt rental car is demanding I pay $601 within one week to satisfy this false claim. I wish I knew of a class action law suit that I could participate in. In the meantime this may end up being a small claims/civil matter because i will not be bullied into paying for something that I did not do.

They overcharged me. I had already paid for rental for the entire trip from Expedia and even got protection from Expedia. I know they mentioned charging for Ezpass, which was 15$ per day, so it should only be 135 extra, but I was charged at the end of the rental for 300$ (which was for nine days). They are adding some additional fees for nothing without any real explanation. It's a good thing I am only going to Houston for a one-time event. I would never rent from Sixt again. The rental car had 19k miles, and the maintenance light was on the entire time. No one takes care of the vehicles over there. I strongly advise you to refrain from renting a car from Sixt. I should have seen all the negative reviews.

The whole process was very smooth and professional. The car was very nice and clean. The clerk at the desk, George, handled a difficult customer before me with grace and was highly professional. He apologized to me for the delay and gave me a free upgrade. Zachary assisted us during the return process. He was patient, kind and very professional. I have rented several cars in the last year and this was the best experience by far. I highly recommend Sixt and will use them again.
