My family stayed here for a wedding and we loved it. Great location downtown. It is located in a business district so it was actually pretty quiet and laid-back on the weekend. We played with our young daughter in the open courtyards around the hotel and walked to the public library when we had some time off. The staff was welcoming and friendly. Mel was great. She would check in on our daughter and ask her about how being a flower girl in the wedding was going. She gave her bubbles to play with and really made her feel welcomed. We would definitely stay again.

Good business/city hotel. Rooms are modern and service is appropriate. Centrally located for a downtown visit. Parking in the area is possible in the parking garage with a direct connection to the hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Houston, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience!
From the moment I arrived, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable. The room was spacious, modern, and immaculately clean, with a stunning view of the city.
The hotel's amenities were top-notch, including the fitness center, pool, and restaurants.
What truly impressed me, however, was the hotel's attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction. Every staff member I interacted with was courteous, professional, and seemed genuinely invested in making my stay memorable.
If you're looking for a luxurious and hassle-free stay in Houston, I highly recommend the Hyatt Regency. I'll definitely be back!

beautiful hotel well kept very clean and quiet great food options in the hotel but if you order let's say jimmy johns when it's delivered the staff will not attempt to notify you no, not even a little it will just go in the closet and they will continue about their day talking to each other looking at phones.
the rest of my stay was perfect.
the mini fridge will keep the food cool but nothing more. HVAC seems to be individually controlled which is very nice.

Good location. Rooms are clean and a decent size. Front desk personnel are very nice. On-site food choices are good. Note: no vending machines for beverages. They do have ice dispensers.

We stayed here for one night while in town for a marathon. The hotel was clean, with modern furnishings and a stylish look. Breakfast ends at 11, and even though we arrived at closing time after the marathon, they welcomed us in. Louis, who served us breakfast, was awesome and genuinely happy to help, which made the experience even better. We ate dinner in a lobby area bar and it was fresh and well prepared. We didn’t get a chance to try other amenities, but overall, it was a great stay.

Waited for an hour for my Von Lane bus to Dallas. Very nice ambiance and convenient location.

Whether it's the staff or the rooms
The lobby is mega impressive and beautiful

The rooms show their age, but the staff here is outstanding. They go out of their way to make sure you have a fantastic experience.
Rooms: This is an old hotel. The rooms have been refreshed as some point, but they still have a very dated look to them and could use a complete gutting.

Be careful with the Valet parking service, they wanted to charge us without consent a 46 dollar tip automatically when we handed over a 100 bill

I had an opportunity to stay here for a staycationIt has been years since I been here, the time before this recent stay, I was here for an anime convention, that's a lifetime ago. It was nice to know they have ADA compliance room for stay. The room I got had a walk-in shower with a shower chair already provided. I love how modern the hotel is you can cast your streaming show from your phone to the TV in the room very easily. They have great dining options here and outside area. If you are parking your car at the hotel there is different driveway for you to valet parking only.
They have a very nice pool and very fast elevators. The front desk check-in and out was fast and explain every questions I had about my stay. I would recommend this hotel if you are here in Houston for business or pleasure. I would come back for another staycation here!
