I have taken 2 online workshops through HCP and was impressed by the quality of the content shared through each course. I've learned new ways to evolve my photography practice. Very inspired!

My 1-star rating is for the summer camp. My granddaughter was excited to enroll in the Candid City: Street Photography session. Based on the information she shared I strongly recommend you have more than one instructor to assist with minors walking in an unfamiliar neighborhood. She was instructed to roam the neighborhood and to meet back at a designated place. When she returned no one was there. After waiting for a while, she walked five blocks and ran into another student who said she was lost. Finally, they located the instructor who was unaware they were missing. The instructor said , "We are waiting for one more student". My granddaughter had to tell her two students were missing. The instructor did not have an accurate count of the students. This is a safety issue. Students walking alone unsupervised. This is a safety issue. The students did not have the phone number of the instructor in case they were lost. This is a safety issue. The students did not have name tags and were addressed as "hey you." This is an impersonal issue. The next day when she arrived, she was informed the group was at Discover Green. When her parents inquired as to why they were not told in advance? They were told an email was sent to my granddaughter. This is a communication issue. The parents should have been notified in advance. I recommend you provide an agenda for the week with daily details and locations. Please put safety first, be personable and communicate effectively. Parents are entrusting you with their children while in your care.

Pretty sure the info email is ran by an AI and not a real person. The responses aren't helpful nor do they actually address questions in your email.

It was okay. I just wasn’t interested in the photos, I wanted to see the photos @Antonio Helm saw, not mold and rust in a camera.. of course, they were beautiful pictures, I just wanted to see pictures with a backstory, history, to ascertain.. ?

Interesting museum, free several artist displayed Great way to kill time Would recommend at least going once Hopefully they change it out, I think they could put a lot more photography up for the small space they have but still worth it to check it out They also have a library and books you can purchase If you are in the area, go around the corner and check out the menil collection and Korny vibes

Seems like a nice place but I paid for a gift card that was never emailed to me. Went back and the guy at the front desk said he would fix it but I still did not receive an email. I'm now out $100 with no Christmas gift. Would not recommend.

Not to be confused with the Houston Center For Pornography which is basically Barbie's apartment. Amazing little place where they have some really thought-provoking and spectacular photography inside. I'm definitely a fan and if you like photography you probably will be too. I like to come here now and again and I have friends that come several times weekly.

This is an outstanding place to visit. The gallery and library are impressive. However, for someone relatively new to a DSLR camera and photography this is the place to learn how it all comes together. I took the entry level camera class with Christy. I learned more in the first two hours with the hands on training, education and explanations than I did in the last few years of reading the manuals and watching videos. I am retired and travel extensively. I have to admit that I 'bought' into the hobby of photography. I own some expensive cameras and lenses. For the last couple of years I've used them on Auto mode as a point and shoot. In her class, Christy showed how to use all of the features of the camera and how to compose and frame the shot. I wish I had taken this course two or three years ago. It is well worth the cost of tuition. I can't wait to take another class.
