I went to see the Christmas tree ? lightingDog-friendliness: Keep you god on a leash, it's city hall....Picnic area: You could have a quick lunch by the fountain it's nice but there is a bit of a homeless issue so be careful.

There are many decorations for Christmas and thanksgiving last year in this park. Hopefully they will do the same things this year.

I’ve been to HS for countless events. Most recently was Reggae Fest. Most memorable was the George Floyd rally. Great place downtown where people can hang out, bring the family and experience Houston culture when they have events.

Can't believe the reggae fest is $25 just to get in

I really enjoyed myself today at the MLK festivities they had poetry, storytelling, face painting and food trucks galore. Also a mobile health clinic onsite and informational booths. I will definitely return next year and would recommend anyone to go if available.

Parking. Or lack thereof, I should say. I went on a Sunday night and there was no parking. Everything is towaway zone or blocked off. But it is pretty right now for the holidays.

Nice place to walk and have some rest from work. This area has some homeless people but they are not harmful or treat anybody. They just want to rest and get their food. HPD has a continuous presence there in addition downtown safety workers. There's always an activity there.

The staggering fountains are pretty cool and the color design is swaggy. Seems like dogs would love this place. Should of thrown a quarter in for luck. ?? There is a/like big trees and stuff around there and well shaded. ? Even the culture that it represents allows horses with police in the park.
