Overall good experience. 1 bed room was a bit small but no complaints. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking is valet and the guys working valet were very nice and cute but I was too shy to talk to them

Last minute booking thru Expedia for an early morning downtown meeting.
It was self check in so can’t comment on staff.
Room was clean but VERY small and the AC made a funny noise all night.
For the price and location, I’d probably stay there again.

I'm staying here tonight and it's fabulous. I love old timey hotels and this one is terrific. It's been totally renovated since I took part on scat parties here in the 80s. It's gorgeous. Service, 100% comfort, 200%. Club rooms are intimate and fun. Ice buckets on LL. Liquor is always on tap!! Will come back.

Great place to stay downtown. Nellie (hope I spelled it right) at the front desk was as sweet as pie. She helped us multiple times and always with a smile. CQ don't let her go anywhere.

My husband and I booked a two night stay at this location. I was a little nervous after reading some negative reviews, but upon arrival the valet staff and the front desk staff were very helpful. The gentleman at the front desk (I wish I remebered his name) helped make our room keys at the kiosk. Parking was a little confusing for me, but the same gentleman that helped make our keys was informative about parking nearby and cost.
The rooms were small but cozy and as a very picky person with the way I like things cleaned. I must say, this is the cleanest hotel room I have stayed at.
Delicious free coffee available in the lobby & I was able to use the Pelaton at the gym which was a great start to my mornings during my stay.
The parking lot right in front offers 24 hour parking for around $25/night in a gated and monitored parking structure which was a plus since I was a little nervous about having my vehicle broken into.
Rooms: Small but clean.
Safety: Security & police officers active, especially at night. I felt safe.
Walkability: This hotel is located in downtown at walking distance from restaurants and other activities. I wouldn't recommend if you have little ones, obviously, since there are a lot of homeless people using substances and people riding scooters on and off the sidewalks. We did see lots of security and police officers patrolling the sidewalks though.

On positive aspect about this stay was the location. Room was not ready until 5 hours after check in time and the carpet was still wet from cleaning. Rooms are terrible. Motel 6 has nicer rooms.

Friendly staff. We were on the 16th floor and had a great room. You could barely hear the street. You could also leave the air conditioning running at night, the fan and the volume were completely pleasant. Room a bit shabby, but very clean. You can hear the neighboring doors, we were in a corner, so it was bearable, that's why only 4 stars. Great fitness room, disinfectant wipes available. Free water in
Fitness room and in the lobby. Nespresso coffee in the room and great coffee machine (brand from Switzerland) with great milk foam. We felt completely comfortable.

I want to give a shout out to Miss Nancy? she is such a gem of a person. We need more people like her in this world. She went above and beyond to help me with a personal problem? I’ll repeat myself not an hotel issue but a personal wardrobe issue. My stockings ripped as I was trying them on and it’s 10:30 in the night, almost every store is closed. It’s my first time in Houston and I have an interview next morning so as soon as I went up to her with my problem looking for some type of help or guidance, she was all about problem solving. She even had her boyfriend take me to a store to get me a stocking? I mean WHAT?! I’ll be forever grateful for her! She deserves a raise✨
Nancy, If you’re reading this, lots of love for you?

Great location and concept. Professional staff, but I think lacking some details that a good manager could iron out with supervision. For example, when we arrived they had forgotten to put towels in our room. We went to the lobby 3 times to try out the fabulous coffee machine. Two of the three times there was no milk in machine...i guess no one schedules the duty of refilling it. There is a door hangtag in the room that says to hang on door if you do not want your room serviced. After coming back with no service, we found that the instructions on hangtag were no longer valid as you needed to turn on the tv and request service on your tv before 1030. No one had told us.
All were minor issues. But annoyances none the less.
We loved the idea of the coffee machine in lobby, and I thought the room was small but nice. We would stay here again.

Honestly an amazing hotel for the price we payed! Had some cool seating areas, water on every floor, and coffee in the mornings! Was in town for a NSGY conference and it was conveniently located for me! Would definitely recommend, clean rooms is always a huge plus when traveling.

Buyer beware if you pay for two beds and need them both. I booked/prepaid for a room with two twin beds. Arrived at 530PM during Labor Day Weekend and was told that they overbooked rooms and could only provide a room with one bed and a rollaway. The rollaway was tiny and very uncomfortable compared to the real bed. The manager onsite basically told me there was nothing else that can be offered or she can do and ultimately provided her boss, M.Miller's email address, suggesting that I write to her (although the superior was away from her desk until after the long weekend)... I would have taken my business elsewhere had I known they wouldn't be keeping their end of the promise. They should have a more comfortable rollaway bed as a plan b in the least, particularly if overbooking is a part of their playbook. I honestly don't think the onsite manager had any ill intentions though being suggested that I email a higher up who would only respond after my stay was over made me feel like I was just an irrelevant data point who was being given a fait accompli in a Kafkaesque nightmare. This is not how a business providing hospitality should be run.
Rooms: Rooms are small and do not have the number of beds promised
Noteworthy details: They do not actually provide room types that they pre-sell and overbook

I had a lovely stay at the Club Quarters Hotel Downtown Houston. The staff was awesome, they are helpful and welcoming. The rooms are gorgeous. The hotel is very clean, it has a beautiful lobby and it has a great restaurant in the lobby as well. I’ll definitely will be back.

I really liked the hotel. There is a door on Fanning Street and one on Rusk Street, but to enter the hotel you have to use the one on Rusk Street. I stayed in the renovated part of the hotel and found the apartment to be excellent. I attended a conference at the George Bush Conference Hall and it was very relaxing to walk. I also thought the gym was very good.

Went around the block several times because there is no sign on the building with hotel name
Rooms: Ranger decent kind of small but perfect for just sleeping
Nearby activities: What's going to a concert at minute maid
