I don't who i talked to just right now, but she was rude. I know the organization is non-profit and ruined by volunteers. However their should still be some accommodation for clients with health issues. I left several messages for two case workers and still haven't heard anything. All i was trying to do was change delivery time. which i was told No by the receptionist and wasn't allowed to leave a message for Carla( CEO).

I was sitting in my living room in 83' heat I am 64 and not in the greatest health so when my Air conditioner stopped blowing out cold air I didn't know what to do. My air couldn't be fixed because they don't make the freon for it any more. I dialed up 211 and they got me to meals on wheels program who were so nice and helped me get a window unit in before I fell out in this hot house. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for anyone who helped get me this unit. God bless you all. What your doing is saving lives.

I've been an Eastside volunteer on and off for 15+ years. Very rewarding to give back with my time and not money!

This is such a wonderful thing to offer the elderly and sick. The food is really good. I just wish for older people they would cook the veggies past the crispy stage. We have to just throw my mothers and most of mine away most of the time. I'm sure shes like many older people and either cant chew them or their stomach cant tolerate them. I even called to see if they offered a soft diet. I hated asking. The lady just said microwave them more. Which we do but it just keeps them tough and rubbery. I'm handicapped myself so I cant stand and finish cooking stuff. I know it sounds like I'm griping and I dont mean to be. We are so grateful for the help. The doctors said by our bloodwork we were mal-nourished from the way we were having to eat before. So believe me I'm extremely grateful for this help. It would just be nice if the veggies were cooked past crispy so they could be chewed up and eaten. I know there has to be many in the same shape we're in about the veggies. Theyre just plain unedible for us. Thank you for everything Meals on Wheels and all your volunteers. You are such a blessing. Please dont be mad at me for leaving this message. I thought someone needed to know and I'mnot sure the lady I spoke with will say anything to anyone about my call.

Meals On Wheels of Tarrant County is the Best! I fortunately have the pleasure of working for this organization and my perception of Meals On Wheels has changed in a positive way the 2 years I've been there. The love they have for people makes it easy for me to go to work.
