Within 5 mins of laying down in their pet friendly room I realized they had bed bugs. Had to shower and quickly leave with my two cats so I didn't bring that mess home. When I contacted the front desk about the issue just to inform him, he got confrontational about it immediately. Would bit recommend the pet friendly rooms, I don't know about the non pet rooms.

We've stayed at the Chalet Inn in Groom Texas 5 times over the past 4 years. Every time has been a good experience. The hotel staff were professional, and pricing is reasonable. we've stayed here with our animals and without. Every room we have had was neat and clean. Don't get me wrong, it's not the Taj Mahal but for an older budget hotel you can't beat it. I've seen some of the other reviews and don't understand what they are talking about. I have never had a problem booking a room at all even at different times of the day or night. I've never had any problems with bugs or filthy rooms. So don't understand how those Reviewers came to that conclusion. We will continue to stop here during our travels and will definitely stay here again.

It was a blessing to find this place when we did during our 30 hour trip from LA to Indianapolis. My fiancé and I were cramped in a rental car with my 2 year old and all our stuff and I'm the only driver. I started to get tired after eating a filling brunch and we were about halfway to our destination. And although it was only 11 AM there, they allowed us to go ahead and rent the room and get settled in, rather than making us wait until afternoon to check in. The price was very reasonable for the room size and quality of amenities and services provided. It was so quiet and very relaxing and comfortable. And there were so many giant toads outside, my daughter was having a blast chasing them and checking them out. Highly recommend stopping here for some quality R&R, for sure. They offer smoking and non-smoking rooms.

This is a no-frills economy hotel that rented me a nice clean non-smoking room during a long driving trip from Los Angeles to Kansas City. While it's not elegant or fancy, all of the basics were covered and the TV worked fine (until a rain system moved in and briefly interrupted the signal). The water pressure was intense! It's not the quietest area on a weekend night (sirens blared a few times), but two big pluses were 1) great free ice and 2) easy I-40 adjacency. It was a good bargain, and I would stay here again. The management was very pleasant and helpful, too. Just very good people! Thanks for everything.

Bed bugs or fleas in our "dog friendly" room indicates they are not cleaned properly considering they allow dogs.The bathroom fan was noisy when the light was on.We called to get a price and the price despite that we told them we had a dog, was higher on arrival than quoted.I would definitely NOT recommend due to their dishonesty.Rooms: Dog friendly rooms but flea infested and we were bitten overnight while we were able to sleep which was shortened by those bites.

Just off the highway, nice little nook good for a quick rest, clean animal room, nice employees.Rooms: Very cleanSafety: Felt safe and very quietNoteworthy details: We are traveling with our bunny and the animal room was very clean and comfortable for all. Good price for animals too.

Rude manager. Charged 40.00 more than advertised. Charged for my service dog and when told he was breaking the law, yelled at me that all motels charge. I told him that NO hotel in 6 months from alaska thru Canada and down the east coast does. Bad place. Bad man. Sorry we stopped. And there are NO restaurants in groom

I was pleasantly surprised on how nice the rooms are for such a reasonable price. The owners were so very nice. I checked in very late and I was hungry but everything near here was closed so they offered and gave several bags of chip. Also very reasonable pet fee only 5$
