We just got back from a 3 night worst camping trip ever. Even our kids told us, "we never want to go back there again" I said no worries we can't. We got there on Thursday evening about 7:45 had to sign your life away to get in. Got put in a spot, where if you fart your neighbor can hear it. Seriously the camp sites are litteraly stacked on each other. Out your camper door is your neighbors poop tube and all the smells that go with it. So we couldn't even sit next to our camper without the smell of their poop. Still gave this place the benefit of a doubt. Had to go to our sales pitch at 12:30. Only had 2 choices but wanted the kids to enjoy the kid activities so we chose that slot. Were told over the phone 45 min to an hr. So we planned to do lunch afterwards. Well 3 hrs later. And 3 sales people later, 4 different prices later added with tons of pressure to "buy now", and "you know before you walk in the door if you want to buy" speeches and "you can camp anywhere for free pitches". We asked if we could have an hr or so or the night to talk and think it over and they said no,no,no.
Well God forbid anyone does their research on this place, and talk to other campers. We were interested in another property they had, but it is what it is. Most horrible sales pitch I've ever sat through to be honest. One second they want to give you their personal numbers, and be your best friend then the next "it's ok it's not for everyone" then it's "your making a mistake", then it's "well just sign here and go".
Like Dr Jehkle and Mrs Hyde. We spoke with a few other campers some members and some not. Not one camper regardless of their status was satisfied with this location. We were promised gifts card and other things for attending, never received anything.
The staff smokes near the kids at the kids area. A staff member was rude as hell to my son and a member's grandson when they had a concert going on. They were shooting hoops for a quick second when there was a break in the performance. (She didn't realize we were right there) They say they are kid friendly and tons of kids come etc. that is total BS. This place is far far far from that.
One of their members had the audacity to curse at my son and the 1 of 3 kids he met there and threaten him. He even said tell your parents I'm in spot #41 and I have something for them if they decide to show up. We couldn't leave this disaster quick enough this morning. It's sad this place has potential due to its location on the river. This is the worst place I've ever parked our camper in the last 7yrs we have been camping. Not to mention 20k for membership and then 800/yr.
For unlevel/ un paved/ out dated everything. Stacked like sardines. They say they're not a timeshare and I believe that. Time shares don't use harsh sales practices nor high pressure and at least they honor everything they say. Tres Rios is the worst campground this side of the Mississippi. The staff needs tons of formal training.and policies that don't involve smoking around kids. The guy from MO that just started there was decent. Kept getting interrupted by the other 2 sales managers. Kind of felt bad for him honestly.
Wifi is horrible as well and service is not great in this area.
I could say more but you get the idea.

Trace Rios Great campground second time there it is a member's park and now I have joined the members family can't wait to go back and see all the other parks soon
Safety: It is a gated entry with code so good security
Walkability: It is a compacted gravel pathways so access is well for wheelchairs and walking it is also family and pet friendly they welcome your furry family pets

I’ve enjoyed my stay. Going back for another 3 weeks. Loved the river that you can waded in. So my 13 yr old lab loved it too. Everyone is friendly and helpful.

Love this place, my oldest son and I go regularly and this weekend we saw a great upgrade on the fishing sites, a staircase down, a bench to sit on, fishing rod holders installed, I sure hope you do this to all the fishing spots there.

Tres Rios is a great place to camp. The view and trails are very accessible while providing great access for fishing, tubing, or just relaxing to the sound of the water. During your time there, I would recommend meeting Kerry & Katie - they couldn’t have been nicer and more accommodating to ensure we had a great stay!
Nearby activities: Fishing, hiking/running trails, tubing, kayaking, etc.

Was given 21 free nights when purchasing a camper from an RV place near San Antonio.
Staff members are polite on the phone.
Nobody explained that it's a membership only facility. I had asked about showers and ammenities on site and was told that it's for members only and there's some convenient stores in town that offer those. Maybe she misunderstood my question.
Absolutely zero reason for me to travel from Southern tip of Texas just to here a sales pitch, in order to camp.
