The Young lady’s that worked 09/27 gave some of the best customer service that I’ve ever had at build A Bear. Thank you for giving my daughter a great time. ?

The staff working on Saturday August 10th in afternoon deserve a raise and employee of the year!
Everyone was so kind and helpful with my VERY shy daughter. She hasn’t stopped talking about her experience since we left. She absolutely loved it and felt so special for her birthday celebration. Even though it was tax free weekend and the mall was pure madness.
The cherry on top was I left my phone on the counter after checking out and I had a mini heart attack 20 minutes later when I realized it wasn’t in my pocket. I retraced my steps to Build a Bear and it was there safely put away on the back counter.
I know it sounds dramatic, but my whole life is on that phone and after checking , I hadn’t “backed it up” in weeks. I would’ve been crushed to have lost all that. So I’m forever grateful they kept my home safe until I got back there. THANK YOU!!

Earlier today, my family member Erin was at your store stonebriar centre in Frisco Tx, when her 3yr old had a potty accident. Your employees laughed and pointed at her and her daughter. The customers did the same. And NO ONE helped her until she became visibly upset. This is a store for children, I would expect the situation to have gone differently. Her 3yr old had to deal with being publicly humiliated by store employees. Then after she demanded help someone brought her paper towels to clean up the mess herself. Now I have worked many years in retail and hospitality and this was NOT what should have happened. Either you hired people of low poor character and/ or they have no training in customer experience/ service/ and care. When her husband called later on her behalf, you gave him a pathetic $10 amount of store credit to make it better. They do not need that, and it’s in insulting amount. At the very least you should send a letter to that little girl AND her mother for that experience they had within your store by your employees. A mother by herself with her little 3yr old should never have that experience in a store meant for little kids. I know customer service and I know you need to make amends for your employees egregious behavior towards a CHILD and her mother. Hire people of quality.

My recent visit was disappointing. I felt almost catfished, to be honest. The store layout was too open, lacking clear steps & vital stations like dressing + washing. How is that fun for any child or adult? What happened to the creativity that went into the interior design of these stores?
The bear was overstuffed despite multiple requests. Checkout took longer than the build & was too sales-focused. There were no boxes/bags for carrying & the computers were down, so no birth certificate either.
This experience was a far cry from the memorable one I had in my youth, to say the least. You just walked around a liminal, barren store as you picked a bear and then straight to checkout. Minimalism, especially for a kids' place, needs to go. The store's feel turned me off from going again. Until this changes, I see no reason to take any kids here. And by the emptiness of the store, it seemed a lot of people agreed.

Idk who the guy is but he’s pretty unhelpful and lied saying you need an email to return or exchange anything when it states on your receipt you only need the receipt so send your junk email to someone else, the girls didn’t offer all the services, no scents, no name/certificate

2 workers were too busy talking to each other in an empty store to help me. Ignored me until I asked them a question. Refused to get up to show me something even after I asked her to show me. It was my son’s birthday, I specifically asked if there is anything else done for a birthday and she said no. Surprisingly I looked on website and there’s several fun things done for your child on their birthday. They just felt like working for free today!

Couldn't answer basic questions about product pricing. How do you not know your own prices.

They were understaffed, which I understand. A young woman had just arrived for her shift and was trying to help me check out. The manager came over and was very rude to her in front of me. The manager made the young woman go in the back to put her apron on before she could finish checking me out (I was literally about to pay). The manager said “corporate is coming in today!” Which if that’s the case, maybe don’t be so understaffed and rude to your employees

I went here to get my niece a bear for her birthday. It was extremely hot in this store. The lines were long. Cool place, but it's best to go on a weekday.

The staff were friendly, guiding us through the bear-making process with care. The kids loved personalizing their furry friends. The workshop was clean and well-organized. With a variety of bears and accessories, each child created a unique companion. Highly recommended for interactive family fun!
