We visited on a Sunday when a festival was going on. Many kids were having face painting & free ice cream. It was busy but we still managed to see the permanent art collections without any problem. Make sure to read the descriptions of each piece to prepare to become amazed of the particular Art piece you are looking at. I was surprised how close you can get to the paintings and sculpture to look at the detail. Definitely worth going and having a little lunch in their small cozy cafeteria.

Billy Bob's Texas in Fort Worth is an iconic venue steeped in history and legendary performances. Stepping into Billy Bob's feels like stepping back in time, with its rustic charm and historic Western decor. The venue's rich heritage as the world's largest honky-tonk is evident in every corner, from the sprawling dance floor to the walls adorned with memorabilia from country music's biggest stars.
I've had the pleasure of attending several concerts at Billy Bob's, and each experience has been nothing short of spectacular. The atmosphere is electric, filled with the twang of guitars and the cheers of enthusiastic fans. The sound quality is excellent, ensuring that every note and lyric resonates throughout the venue, creating unforgettable moments.
However, one aspect that could be improved is the layout of the dance floor. While it's spacious and allows for plenty of room to move, the design sometimes makes it challenging to find a good spot without obstructed views. A more tiered or strategically arranged layout could enhance the overall concert experience, ensuring that everyone has a clear view of the stage and can fully immerse themselves in the music and atmosphere.
Despite this minor quibble, Billy Bob's Texas remains a must-visit destination for any country music enthusiast. Whether you're there for a concert, to dance the night away, or simply to soak in the historic ambiance, Billy Bob's delivers an authentic Texas experience that leaves a lasting impression. I look forward to returning to create more wonderful memories in this legendary venue.

Charge $3 a person to go in during the day to get food. I understand at night, but we just wanted to eat and look around during the week during the day. Decent food. Large place with a variety of things to do. Liked the handprints of people who have been there. The food was bbq and refillable drinks. Cool Ketchup flavors. Friendly service .

Charged me and no other girls on Wednesday June 12th on ladies night. Come later to learn that they charge until 6PM but there was no communication letting me know that/ Visiting from FL. They then decided to overcharge me for merchandise and then the manager wanted to give me attitude. I’ll never be back and at this point this is ridiculous and Jill was the worst person that I’ve ever talked to, and that was the manager.
I spent $78 in that gift shop and they didn’t deserve my patronage. I will never be back and as someone who was on a business trip, I plan on telling all of my colleagues not to come here.
Pretty sure they treated me adversely for a reason. Instead of refunding me, they tried to offer me a drink and I stated that I didn’t want a drink and I wanted my money back.
I want my cover fees back for this inconvenience.
Update: It is June 18th and the hold has still not left the account and it has been 7 days so I plan on pursuing this organization. Not sure how a mistake on their end is now a problem on mine. No one has reached out either and I have $107 that I don’t have access to in my bank account (I used a debit card and not a credit card). Guess this is the thanks I get for patronage.
Update #2: the hold on my account was for the entire duration of my trip (7 business days) so if you want to be treated rudely by the manager and while you’re traveling have a $100+ hold on your card the entire time, visit this place
I really wanted to visit Billy Bob’s since my mom went here in Fort Worth in the 80s but this was not it.

Came to the bar on a Thursday night to line dance.. asked several employees about it and they charged us $20 knowing we came to line dance only to find out it was hip hop night! Not one person told us that so we are out $100 for nothing. Worst country bar I have ever been to ?

First off, charging a $3 cover in the daytime is ridiculous. That said, it's a pretty awesome 20k Sq ft place with a bull riding arena, dance floor, live music, pool, and more. We came here to eat at the Honky Tonk cafe.Cafe. Food is excellent.

Saw jelly roll play at Billy bobs and it was the perfect venue. The staff at Billy bobs is top notch and they have a great system to move you through the line. Didn’t wait too long for drinks and the bathroom was wide open. It was a full house. Billy Bobs is definitely a staple in TX and a must visit. I Remeber going as a kid with my dad 40yrs ago lol

Billy Bobs has to be the worst venue to see live music, hands down. Not only is the sound atrocious, you cannot see anything from the back of the seated area, including the useless tv screens. When standing against a railing at the back, not bothering anyone, I was approached by an overweight classless hillbilly who told me I had to sit down as it was a seated concert. First, who sits down to watch Lee Bryce, second, when I attempted to walk around the table to my seat, this large human posted up to me (female), I had to tell him to move so I could sit.
This place is a cash cow, fix it! Employ classier staff, who don’t go into defcon 5 at the smallest thing. If this is the representation you want for international visitors then congratulations! Overweight, classless, hillbilly’s providing terrible customer service is how I now think of Fort Worth. Good job!!

Billy bobs has a fun, larger than life, aesthetic. I went for a concert that was happening, this was my first time there and to say I was impressed is probably an understatement. Whenever I would ask an employee anything they were absolutely helpful and would guide me in the right direction without fail. Everybody I met that night, even though most were drunk, were super nice. Only complaint I had was how hot it got in the pit area in front of the stage. They need some fans to move around air down there.
