As a guest or delivery driver; this place sucks. The phone at the gate is always broken “Line is in Use” so you have to wait around until a resident clicks the gate open. You’d think a nice community could afford to fix an issue like this. Thanks for replying; but no, it’s not a one off, this is a weekly occurrence since about September. In fact, I came over today and had this same problem. It’s pretty clear why residents won’t report this issue; they’re using their clickers so they don’t experience the frustration. So humor me, and try using the keypad for entry, you’ll find it’s down about half of the time.Don’t worry, I’ll start taking photos from now on.12/27- doesn’t work

Had my car broken into and everything in my car was stolen and I know it happens frequently. I don’t pay for security and a gated community to have this happen. Then the lady I talked to was very rude and obnoxious about my complaints. And no matter how many times you complain nothing ever changes. They masquerade as a nice place to live but they only care about taking your money. DON’T LIVE HERE

I've lived at UES for 5+ years now and still recommend to all my friends! Huge shout outs to Beth, Carri, Taylor and the entire UES cafe team. They truly add to my everyday. For this review, I also want to recognize Javier on the maintenance team - so helpful and kind! He stopped when he saw me struggling to change my spare tire and had me heading to Discount Tire in no time. I truly appreciated his help! A big thank you to your great village maintenance team!!

Nice apartments but not as safe as you would think. There has been multiple reports on car break ins and my car was stolen this morning. The lady in front office was rude and unhelpful told me it's not the first time this has happened. You pay so much rent for living in a gated neighborhood with a patrol officer that drives around. But yet some how your car gets stolen right outside your building.

I just moved in few days ago, but I am loving it so much! The apartment and the whole compound are amazing, but with this review I wanted to give a shout out to Kyle at the office, he was a rock star getting us in! He went above and beyond to get us the apartment ready asap, since we applied with only few days left at our old apartment. He is amazing!

The Village - Upper East Side is by far the nicest apartment complex I have ever and probably will ever have lived in.Management is helpful, there are weekly events with food and drinks to mingle with your neighbors, and let’s not forget a FREE barista staffed cafe Mon-Sat. The complex is very dog friendly and you’ll find a huge amount green space available for your pup and plenty of friendly neighbors with dogs always ready to play.Of all of the Village neighborhoods, I truly believe the Upper East Side is the best place to live. With the cafe, two pools, a green space, and community garden, you can’t beat it. The gym could be improved - it’s two stories but the weights and machines available are fairly typical of a limited apartment gym. However, now that the larger village gym is open, if you need better equipment there’s no doubt you can find it there.Maintenance is usually quick and I’ve only had to call them a handful of times. The only trouble I’ve had with my actual unit was pretty much always water heater related. I lived in a townhome with a fairly old water heater that spontaneously burst one day and flooded my lower W/D area next to my garage. Unfortunately, the after hours maintenance technician pretty substantially scratched up my washer and dryer (that I own) in the process of cleaning up the water heater mess. But as soon as management found out they offered me compensation for the wear and tear - which was much appreciated. Because the heater itself is not tankless or a full size water heater, running out of hot water can be an issue if not on the right temperature setting.Overall, I love living here. Location can’t be beat. You’re not far from anything in Dallas. 10-15 min to Uptown, Deep Ellum, Bishop Arts. 5-10 min to Lower Greenville, <5 min to North Park Mall, and tons and tons of close by restaurants and shopping for whatever you might need.

My apartment had 15 AC units directly above it on the roof which was never relayed to me before signing. Because Lincoln Properties clearly gave zero thought to the fact that someone would be living under all these units, there seems to have been no attempt to properly insulate or isolate the noise entering the apartment. So you get what sounds like a landscaping crew on your roof 24/7. They'll place some cheap styrofoam board underneath the units, but not without constant complaining and it really does very little. I thought moving to a lower floor would fix my problem, but upon speaking with management, she let me know they get people on all floors that complain about hearing the vibration traveling from the units on the roof. As soon as she said that, it confirmed to me that these apartments were cheaply built and it was best to just leave. The apartment walls and floors would vibrate, and if enough AC units were running at once, the vents and pictures on the wall would rattle. The noise was so bad, my sleep app thought I was snoring, but when I'd play back the recordings, it was just the AC units. To add insult to injury, after I called to get some info on how to transfer to a different unit that was available, they raised the price of the unit by $300/month within the hour and had the audacity to apologize for any "inconvenience" this may have caused me. Of course, I could no longer afford the apartment and they refused to honor the original price. When I asked if they could work with me, I was pushed off to an apartment locator with The Village who was also unsympathetic. I will admit the complex amenities and resident events are nice, and the apartment itself (minus the AC issue) aesthetically was a nice apartment, but would I say it's worth the rent? No. My kitchen countertops were installed backwards, the floor was so unlevel I had to shove bits of cardboard under my TV stand to make it level, my bathroom door stuck horribly because of how uneven the apartment was and my curtains? Even if the level says they're level, you'll hop off the ladder and realize they look horrifically unlevel because the floors/ceilings are not even. To boot, my bedroom was 3ft shorter in depth than the floor plan notes. A couple inches off is understandable, but 3ft is substantial especially for someone who owns larger furniture and is depending on those measurements being as close to accurate as possible. No one accounts for a measurement being 3ft off. Since the bedroom shares a wall with the living room, I assumed maybe I gained those 3ft in the living room, but nope. It measured out exactly as it should. So I got gipped on 3 ft by around 14 ft of space in a major living area. The Village justifies their prices based on the newly built amenities in the middle, but to be honest with you, they're not a big value-add. I quit my gym membership thinking I'd go to Village Fit all the time, but it's so crowded that people literally wait in line or circle like vultures for equipment then stare at you the whole time waiting to pounce the second it looks like you're done. The restaurants in the middle are overpriced and subpar, you can't bring your own food or drink into the VCC pool AND your guests have to pay a fee. But while they tout that everything is within walking distance, that's only if you don't get hit by a car in the process since everyone drives like a crazy person through The Village and there are not enough lights and crosswalks. Not to mention it is LOUD in this complex between NW highway and Skillman, and the fact that it seems like there are landscapers here every single day all day. When I filed my intent to vacate, they listed my unit at a price 60% higher than what I signed for just a year ago. I understand the housing market has exploded but c'mon. I just feel bad for the poor souls who rented my unit after me. It's clear to me The Village thinks very highly of itself and the "amenities" they provide. Before you drink the Village K

Best apartment I’ve ever lived in. No complaints at all. Cold plunge and hot tub was great. Didn’t even use a lot of the nice features they have. Very quiet and friendly neighbors as well. Always felt safe there too.

They've taken away almost everything community building in the community and aren't bringing it back. Even before covid we watched the "free" perks get taken away or cheapened. Gourmet bagels changed to regular bagels turned into cheap bagels turned into granola. The weekend waffles are gone and not coming back. Meanwhile rent goes up. There's very little reason to keep living here.

Leaving this review specifically for Anna who toured with me and my lady at the "Drey" neighborhood apartments. This review is long overdue and I just wanted to share how great Anna's interaction and energy was with me and my lady while she showed us around the neighborhood. This place is very clean and has amazing amenities. It is pricey, but it's worth it. Neighborhood seems vibrant and pretty safe. Location is near a lot of great stores and shopping centers. Definitely at the top of our list when I am ready to relocate.

Lived at the UES for 2 years and have absolutely zero desire to leave. The community feel, the aesthetics of the landscaping, the Spanish-feel of the architecture, 2 gyms, 2 pools, dog friendly, great staff, and quick fixes to any maintenance issues. Best apartment complex my fiance and I have ever lived in.

Hands down the best apartment complex I’ve ever lived in.My favorite part is the amenities. Free coffee/espresso with a barista every day in the cafe, events with food and drink on the weekends (free waffles every Saturday!) Even more top notch amenities coming with the new portion of the village opening soon. You won’t have many maintenance issues but the crew is quick and responsive. All the staff are friendly and actually care.Pools and gym are great and the whole complex is always kept beautiful and clean. Tons of green areas nearby and a dog park for the pups.I could go on. Lived here for almost 4 years. I will miss it!
