I would highly recommend North Dallas Veterinary Hospital, especially if your dog needs surgery or specialized care. Dr. Hudson is absolutely wonderful! Excellent surgeon. Excellent bedside manner. Even rearranged her schedule to get my dog in sooner for surgery. Explains everything very well and takes time to explain procedures, my dogs issues, and to answer questions. Everyone who helped me was professional and warm. The office is clean and organized. Everything about my experience has been positive.

I loved this clinic for 16 years. Dr Ford & Dr King (both now retired) always went above and beyond, along with their supportive staff. It was my lifesaver for years, and all the stray animals I brought, from raccoons to pit bulls. They never turned me away, waited after hours, and met me on weekends and early mornings. This clinic was sold to a chain three/four years back and no longer represents the values it once upheld. Dr. Denise Hudson & Dr. Dave Washatka are both solid, the rest not so much, and the office manager, Jessica, leaves much to be desired. I am not one for leaving bad reviews - however, the standards Dr. Ford had set for 20 years are no longer present after the sale of this business.

We have used the North Dallas Veterinary Hospital since 2002 and had only praise for the vets and staff until this past year. Since Dr. Lange and Dr. Ford left it seems making as much profit as possible is their only concern. The price for grooming our 10 lb. Yorkie doubled, and the cost of boarding increased significantly. It is a shame to have to seek new vets after all this time, but that's where we are.

Dr Hudson promptly diagnosed a malignant tumor and successfully performed surgery on my dog. Her explanations were very thorough and considerate. I do recommend this practice!

Always awesome. Treat your fur babies as thier own. Also the only one that has ever cleaned my dogs teeth. He lost a few because his old vet wouldn't listen kept saying they're fine. They weren't AT ALL! Thank y'all for listening to me & helping him. Blessed day y'all!!!?... CLnChico2 ?

Loved the experience and attention. Great staff, great human beings. My pet is so much better now, and I feel at peace and well informed of what to do if another unfortunate event happens. Dr. Finney attended us and she is great.

We had an emergency with one of our dogs and after going to our veterinary office of 12 years and getting no help whatsoever, a friend recommended North Dallas Veterinary Hospital. I called them frantically at 1pm on a Friday and they told me to start driving to their office and they would see our precious lab, Daisy. We walked in, were greeted and shown to a room within five mins. After spending just 2 mins with the staff, I realized I was never going back to our old veterinary office. We are so grateful to the staff and veterinarians at North Dallas Veterinary Hospital. Our lab had a gash in her chest and they took excellent care of her and didn’t charge us excessive fees (like our old vet’s office). We go back in 10 days for a follow up and we are transferring our two other dogs’ records for future visits?. I give them 5 ?’s and 5 ❤️’s!!!!

Responsive, Insightful, ...they more than met the needs of my ailing pitbull terrier, and about eight or nine other dogs, large and small that came for their help during our visit. My only criticism is in their need for a little more space in the entryway for their clinic. Knowing how people are about pit bulls, I felt compelled to move him aside as we waited to be dismissed and new people entered with their little puppies. The staff was very helpful. They stepped out of their rôles, bending over backwards to take care of our needs, giving water to our dog, and even carrying in our luggage as we were heading out on a road trip immediately afterwards, and didn't have our car with us! Major kudos to such a wonderful staff of needed people!

First off, if your pet needs medication, GO ELSEWHERE! This clinic does not work with outside pharmacies which translates to much higher costs. My pet needs methimazole (transdermal) for hyperthyroidism. Dr. Nichols prescribed 2.5 per .05 ml (dose) but then wanted TWO doses (clicks) of the cream at each dosing. That essentially makes it more expensive and much messier when giving 2x the amount versus using 5mg per .05 ml. That syringe cost $41. After looking at online pharmacies, they all use .1 as the standard dose but the strength can vary ... 2.5, 3.75, 5, etc. Back to cost. Chewy's pharmacy charges $45 for 5mg / .1ml for 9 ML (90 days worth) which is way more affordable!!! This clinic refuses to fax a script so I will now have to pick up the paper prescription and snail mail it while my pet has no medication. Ridiculous! A few weeks ago, my pet was having symptoms of a UTI or cystitis. I took her in and saw a fill in vet. I explained the symptoms which were never really addressed or explained to me. They gave her an antibiotic and a shot for inflammation. The vet spent most of her time focusing on arthritis and selling me on the new monthly injection that I should try. While that might be a bridge that i need to cross, it is very early on to jump to that solution. I am certain a UTI or cystitis can cause discomfort. I asked about CBD oil which by law vets are not able to discuss (which i only learned afterwards) but was told CBD is illegal in Texas. She did not say it was illegal for them to discuss but that it was illegal. NOT TRUE. We briefly touched on glucosamine which can also be very helpful. At the end of the day, I feel it's more of a business than a vet hospital. Charging for services is fine. Upselling services and pushing clients to pay more than necessary is not cool. I started going to this clinic to see Dr. Ford over 15 years ago. He started the clinic and I am not certain he still works there. Sadly, I will probably change clinics at this point. An unwillingness to fax a script is a bridge too far.

The staff are so friendly, as are the doctors. Knowledgeable doctors and they always follow up with you! I've had to call before about something minor (pills for an anxious dog) and they got back to me same day in just a couple of hours. They genuinely care. Facilities are clean and tidy, groomers are amazing. I feel that my pets are safe and truly cared for here.

I have been with Dr. Ford and his staff for 30 years. All the front desk people are helpful and efficient. The doctors are knowledgeable and above all, kind. No place else for my pets and me!

I will never call this clinic again. I spoke with Jessica and never have I had an experience such as I had with her. She was rude. I was referred to N. Dallas Vet by a friend and told her about this experience. She, too, has had a bad experience with this person. I am looking for a new vet but it will not be at this clinic. I could never trust a doctor who would allow their staff to speak to anyone calling in this manner.
