The property manager has a tow truck company patrol NIGHTLY. They will tow your guest’s vehicle without question. All in the middle of the night. Never the day time. It’s criminal and unethical, all for the benefit of their tow truck company making a buck.

I loved my apt here! It has awesome amenities. And a great location! I'm a walker so was able to shop and eat w/o having to drive!

I lived here for a couple of years, and loved the community. Only moving due to buying a home. Being able to walk to Lower Greenville was great. Parking is sometimes scarce but I never had an issue having a spot. Allie was who I dealt with most, and she was lovely.

I have been living here for about 2 years now and I absolutely love my apartment more than any other place I have lived! Great finish outs, fantastic location, and extremely friendly/helpful staff. I have never had an issue with packages, or parking. Parking can be scarce at times, however I have never not found a space to park my car and I get home every night around 10pm. There are no amenities, but management made that very clear when I toured the property. It is a boutique apartment community, so it makes sense that there would be no amenities since you are basically paying to live 10ft from Lower Greenville. The location could not be more prime, that is, if you love walking to local restaurants and bars.Overall, my experience here has been amazing and I do not plan on leaving for quite sometime. If you want to be surrounded by great neighbors/atmosphere then Magnolia on Matilda would be right up your alley!

I am giving these apartments one star solely because this is a good location. It’s walkable to bars, restaurants, and Trader Joe’s. Otherwise they would have gotten zero stars.My first issue was that I was given an entirely different finish out in my apartment than the one I was originally shown and promised I’d get. I was told they couldn’t show me the actual unit before leasing but that my unit would also have wood flooring and light colored cabinets. This was important to me. Low and behold, my actual unit had dark cabinets, dark counters, and a dark concrete floor - I don’t like the look. It is really shady how they changed it up on me like that and then treated me like I was an inconvenience and ungrateful for calling them on it. Point blank, I would NOT have rented from them if I knew beforehand what finish out my actual apartment would have.Another issue is that the concrete floors are not sealed properly. Mine have cracked, corroded, and been stained by WATER. And not standing water - but as in I spilled a glass of water, immediately cleaned it up, and it had seeped into the concrete and stained it. This is indicitive of the way they have cut corners on a lot of their “luxury” items and finish outs. There are gaps at the place where the cheap cabinets meet the floor. The gaps are big enough for a kitten to squeeze through. There’s a veneer of high quality at this property - granite counters, stainless steel, etc. but it is just that: a veneer.My car has been dinged in the parking lot countless times. There are not enough normal parking spaces (half of them are “compact”) and this causes people to slam their doors into other cars. Also, if you come home past 7pm in the evening - good luck trying to find a spot. There simply aren’t enough parking spots for residents. Have fun walking several blocks!Your packages are at risk of being stolen here. There is no leasing office on staff and there is no package lockers. Amazon, FedEx, etc. will just toss your packages in the lobby if they even both to bring them inside (often they don’t) and there have been countless issues of non-residents somehow entering the building, open packages, and theft. Bikes have also been stolen. There is zero security here and in my 10 months not once has management done anything to address this constant issue.There are no amenities. I knew this coming in, but I just want to say that again. No amenities: no security, no leasing office, no pool, no dog park, no gym, nothing. At a $1500+ price point.This brings me to my biggest issue with Magnolia on Matilda and the reason I thought about breaking my lease. For the first seven months of my lease my next door neighbors had a dog with separation anxiety that they left alone often. This dog barked CONSTANTLY. For hours on end. 7 days a week. Starting as early as 5am and and well past midnight. I did not sleep a full night in those 7 months. It was driving me bloody mad. This is in clear violation of several Dallas noise and peace ordinances and THE LEASE WE SIGNED. Management did *nothing* to enforce the lease. I was told the owners would be called and I doubt that even happened. If it did, it didn’t help. I kept emailing and calling the leasing office and at one point Liane brushed me off and told me that their lease is ending “soon” and to basically get over it. They didn’t move out for two more months.I would not recommend anyone move to Magnolia on Matilda or any Magnolia property at this point. I will avoid them like the plague. At this price point you can get a nicer apartment in a similarly good neighborhood with endless amenities and mangagement that isn’t terrible for the same price or less. I advise everyone thinking about moving here to look elsewhere. You can do better. I wish I had.
