Do not use this location! They do not have qualified tax professionals. We ended up switching because the so called tax pro, (Tesia Thomas) is incompetent and lied to us multiple times.
Tesia Thomas said that our 1098 mortgage interest statement was included, but couldn't show the document in the H&R Block portal, which created a $1,300 bill to the IRS.
She put us on hold multiple times and at one point for 40 minutes. We learned later that she put us on hold because someone else came into the office and she left to help them, despite having a set appointment with us.
When asked about our deductions, she didn't know the answer and we found out she did not correctly maximize, creating another amount we would have owed the IRS.
When asked about our dependent amount, she didn't know the answer and could not look at the filing in the portal which she had created to file.
When we got frustrated, she hung up, never called us back, and lied to her manager saying she did call us back.
The receptionist became aware of the problem and lied to me when I asked to speak to the manager saying, "I'm the manager."
I explained that I need a people manger, not the office admin.
The manager was quite difficult and defended Tesia Thomas.
If you want your filing to be done incorrectly, use this location.
If you want to end up paying the IRS, use this location.
If you want to be lied to, use this location.
Everyone at this location should audited and fired, including the manager, Beatrice Rodriguez.
Do NOT use this location.

I made an appointment for same day at 6pm. Got two confirmation emails and was even prompted to make an online account so that I would be ready for my in person meeting. When I arrived the door was locked, I called the number twice no one answered. I had to knock on the door several times only to be greeted by some lady saying there were no appointments. Even when I showed her the confirmation, she responded with “I don’t know with who, because there are no appointments right now. I have a meeting.” Very unprofessional and rude.

Had a phone appointment scheduled with Amit and I was never contacted for it and when I later left a message I was still never contacted. Now I am having to rely on another location due to their lack of professionalism. Would not recommend. Also the office associate seems very ill equipped for her position.

Would not recommend. The lady helping me honestly didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. She told me my return was going to be under $200 which did not seem correct at all. I decided to do my return myself through TurboTax and received a little over 3K.

H&R Block is a nightmare to work with ..I understand this is the busiest time of year but it should be no different every year and if you don’t have the staff or time, don’t make appointments you can’t go through with. Half the time there’s nobody to pick up the phone between here and mockingbird location. I originally had somebody from mockingbird location doing my taxes, I’ve made 3 appointments that the “tax pros” never showed up to. I finally switched to Ross location and they told me somebody would call me the next day and my taxes would be done by end of week. I confirmed I didn’t need to make another appointment and she said no it’s fine someone will call you tomorrow. It’s now Saturday and I haven’t heard anything and called. Cameron said there should have been an appointment made , i explained that she said I never needed one to where he kept telling me “I don’t know who said what” and “that was a different location” to then tell me they had no more available appointments, to then hanging up on me. Maybe find a new job Cameron??

The staff is very polite and helpful. This year I opted to drop off my taxes and I always had to be the one to follow up and get things moving. Other than that, when I had help, it was prompt.That being said every time I go this location there's always homeless people hanging out there and it's kind of scary. It's not the company's fault. But maybe find a safer location.

Can't complain about this place...always try them yourself instead of listening to others...Amitt Smith on ross Ave in dallas tx has always done my taxes & gives the best service. Generally the entire staff is sweet
