I stopped by on Wednesday to get help with a missing car battery mount screw. Frank assisted me. He went out of his way to figure out what size I needed and even installed it. He was very patient with me. I didn't even know how to open my hood. Neighborhood business, neighborly service. Frank is such an asset to Elliots.

Although I do like the store itself, I do not recommend the paint department. I’ve been there twice and had bad experiences with the mixing of the paint. The first time I picked out a color to be mixed. I got it in flat and eggshell but same color. Got home and noticed the two paints had totally different shades of the same color after the person in the paint department told me they were the same. I didn’t make a big deal and just ate the cost of the gallon of paint I didn’t use. I ran out of the other gallon of paint and decided to go back and buy a pint of the same paint to spot some areas. I took the empty can back to make sure this didn’t get messed up. Get home and now I have three different shades of the same color paint. Didn’t notice it until after the spot painting I did from this new pint dried and did not match! Now my entire room and ceiling has patchy looking paint all over! I’ve never had this issue at any other store that sells paint. If I get the same brand paint, same base, same color and everything else, why is it different each time here???? Now I have to go buy yet another gallon of paint from somewhere else and paint this entire room again to cover this! I am beyond livid. Training on how to properly mix paint at this store is needed!Update: Very impressed with how swiftly management went over and beyond to ensure the issue I previously had was corrected. Thank you so much Mr. Welman for all your help! I will continue to shop with Elliot’s Hardware! :-)

Called over to see if they had something that I wanted before I drove over to the location. I was transferred to a line that rang,and rang, and no one ever answered. So then I called back and I was put on hold so I drove way over there just to walk in 2 people sitting around chitchatting. since no one ever answered I was shocked to find two people one sitting in a chair and the other one standing at the front desk, Kiki and laughing and having a good time. So I look at both of them as I look at their phone and the lines blinking where someone is on hold because I know we have the same phone at my business and I go that's me on hold right there! As the denied it. They need to be retrained on how to help customers if they don't know something maybe walk around and find out instead of putting people on hold and transferring them to invisible numbers because they don't know where something is. If it wasn't for this nice African American gentleman that showed me around I would have given 1 star.

Level of detail surpasses Home Depot and Lowes Combined.Need a metric screw? No problemo.Need a metric screw with a pan head, beveled tip, carbon steel, black, glossy finish, with wing nut? They got it. But the question is why do you need ? something like that. Get a life.Actually, you will find people at Elliott who know how to help you solve the most unique, challenging needs you can imagine.

I made a order purchase.When I went to pick it up the following day. It was not ready when I went to go. Pick it up the very next day. After that I was told the order was never put in then. I was told it was gonna be refunded and when I called up there. They still have not even done that.

Had a great experience shopping at Elliott’s Hardware! I was looking for a solution for a missing piece for a decorative item. I went to lots of stores looking for a replacement item but nowhere was staff as helpful as Welmon and his team at Elliott’s. I left the store with the part and the decorative item ready to be used!

If you can't find what you need here, then you probably didn't need it in the first place. They have customer service only dreamed about in the big box stores. We recently went in to find new hardware for a bathroom remodel. They must have several thousand different drawer pulls and handles. Kimmey helped us find the perfect ones. Highly recommended.

Professional and personalized service!! When I needed replacement hardware and needed it quick—Kimmie tracked it down from one of Elliott’s suppliers and I picked it up that same day. She went above and beyond—she didn’t have to—she just wants to take care of her customers. That’s the type of place you want to do business with!

Huge selection and fantastic employee assistance in the fasteners section! Our movers lost much of our bunk bed hardware. After three weeks of our boys sleeping on the floor next to a pile of bed pieces, I wondered if we’d ever get that bed reassembled. Thankfully, after several failed attempts to find what we need at the big box stores, a friend recommended we try Elliott’s.

I will say there ever since they sold to Ace Hardware if you never quite been saying they have moved twice since they were on Maple Avenue. The thing I like most about the hardware department is that you can go in and buy one screw or one washer and walk out the door without having to buy a pack The people who used to be at Maple Avenue are slowly drifting off.In the other reviews, everybody talks about "it's not what it used to be" and actually, they are correct. Kimmie, in decorative hardware is always fantastic- she KNOWS EVERYTHINGI miss Linda in the paint department.Mr Carl is still there In hardware-he is great!I know when a privately-owned retail store is bought by a big chain, things are never the same. I will continue to go to Elliotts.However, I don't know if the problems noted here will ever change
