Had the backs of 4 barstools re-upholstered to change the color. I have to say, one looks like someone was learning, the other 3 are ok but actually the box corners on all of them are not a sharp as they should be.

BEWARE: PRICE INCREASE AFTER QUOTEReading the reviews here, we turned to Back Alley Furniture for a recent upholstery project.We visited the shop and were welcomed by the owner, Monica Narula. We received a competitive price quote, and turned to order the fabric.But then we were dismayed and shocked: Once we granted the work to Ms. Narula, the price quote suddenly increased by almost 30%.We asked her for an explanation, but she declined to respond. We kept asking why the price quote increased, but she stayed mum. We can only guess that this is a case of bait-and-switch, or as lawyers call it “attempted fraud”.We lost time and money. We took our business elsewhere.

We dropped off our couch this morning for a complete makeover: reduce the overall length by 12", roll the arms, raise the back. Monica, the owner was lovely to deal with by phone, text, and email. Edgar was fabulous taking in every single detail of the changes we wanted to make, measuring and confirming in writing what we said. After shopping around, I am so glad we chose Back Alley Furniture!

Had a bench reupholstered recently at Back Alley, they did a fantastic job from start to finish. Gave me a quick and reasonable price quote over the phone/text, scheduled the pickup the same week and had it delivered & installed back in just another week. Friendly, hardworking and honest team of folks, the bench looks brand new and we’re getting compliments everyday!

We had custom for 8 high top bar chairs that were basically destroyed because of cheap material used on our brand new chairs. We took our chairs to Back Alley and had cushions made with new leather added. Edgar did an amazing job at telling us how the process would work and he recommended a leather we absolutely love. Edgar fixed everything and the chairs are better than they were when new. Monica was also was very helpful with the process and very quick to return phone calls and messages. The best part of this process was the turn around and when you have 7 people who can’t sit at the kitchen table a fast turn around is important. If you are looking to have work done look no further. We will return for future projects.

Monica and her team did a fabulous job on my grandmother’s chair! It was old and sad and they gave it new life. My new fabric has a busy, repeating pattern, and they did a great job matching up the pattern. They were cheaper and quicker than the other quotes I received. I highly recommend Back Alley!

Had heirloom chair and ottoman reupholstered. They took them down to the wood frame and basically rebuilt both with new foam and batting. Great job!

The name says it all, this business is soooo shady. When I visited the store I saw the craftsmanship and it was horrible too. You'd be better off going to rooms to go!!! buyers beware!!

Back Alley is the best of the best. She did an awesome job for us. I love my chair so much. And the outdoor piece she did Sunsetter frantic so it would last. Excellent experience. Highly recommend.

The whole team at BAF is amazing. They did a chair and out door piece and both turned out great. She is very responsive and flexible. She even took me to a fabric store to help with deciding exactly what I wanted. We dropped our pieces off, she kept us informed and they were completed in a very satisfactory time frame. I was so excited when I picked them up. They were exactly what I envisioned. I wanted some fun and different and she helped me nail it. You will not be disappointed. The owner is retired from corporate America and is very passionate about her small business.

Had custom cushions made for our midcentury loveseat. Edgar did an amazing job at telling us how he recommended we go about the style and fixing everything up. Monica also was very helpful with the process. Happy to refer others and will probably return for future projects.
