“The pumps are weird here for my VW. I have to hold the pumpsl handle at an angle in my tank to get them to work. No tank angles at other gas stations so it's weird. LoL the gas here is always cheapest in town, usually, even better than Costco. Also, if you have Wal-Mart+ you can buy Sam's club has without a Sam's membership.”

“This is a great HEB. My friend is handicapped this store is very handicapped friendly. The employees do everything to help my friend when shopping. My friend needs a mobility scooter and has limited ability to reach. We do our shopping together if I'm not able to help. They jump right in to assist in helping to select fruit, meat, and assist with things in coolers. The people in the seafood department are wonderful. We always stop at this one when in the area..”

“I was staying in post partum at Scott n white and as I was being discharged the pharmacy brought my medication and the young man was super sweet and cheerful. I was shocked that my medication was brought to me usually you only receive the prescription and you have to go get it filled. The pharmacy made it super easy on me. I was able to go straight home and not have to stop at a pharmacy to get my prescription filled.”

“We recently switched to the HEB pharmacy from... a different pharmacy. Today was our first doctor visit since switching. As luck would have it, the doctor called in a prescription for an antibiotic; we made sure he used our new pharmacy.We had just made it home from his office when the phone rang; it was an automated call from HEB letting us know we had a scrip ready!Now, with the other pharmacy, we were used to having to wait until the next day for meds called in for us, especially this late in the day (4:30pm). I was pleasantly surprised, and I let the pharmacy manager know.Good job, HEB.”

“Extremely kind staff. I have an eye infection rushed from my Dr to get there before they closed. Waited in line a few minutes and at this point it was close to closing. I really felt bad even asking but they filled it and literally made my day. All of them were walking out as I was paying and I never felt like I put them out. “I would like to formally apologize for messing with the metrics of this CVS’s ordering for pressure sore pads ? We had to buy two boxes them every week for a *really* long time, and to this store’s credit, they kept them in stock for us. I can only think of one or two times they were out when we needed them over the last year. Alas, my partner got a new wheelchair seat and we don’t need them any more… and they have wayyy too much overstock. I’m sorry the ordering algorithm did you guys dirty. It’s our fault. On the upside, the store is always organized well and clean. Had a creep follow me in (from another location) a few years ago and the cashier actually came to check on me when I rushed to the back and basically hid out in the first aid section. Perceptions are always correct and the pharmacists take the time to explain stuff.”

“I've been here tons of times when I'm visiting family and I inevitably forget something (read: every single time). They're super convenient, located on the corner with entrances on both streets, connected to the Whataburger parking lot in the back if you want to come from there, and have a decent sized parking lot. I'm super lazy, so that convenience factor is extremely important in me actually doing something and this allows me to stop in multiple times because I know it will only be a few minutes. Therefore, this review is about the store and the staff, but not about the pharmacy since I haven't had to use it. However, I was on their website checking for vaccine availability for a family member last week and noticed this location has a lot more vaccines and boosters available than where I live.This Walgreens is a little larger than the typical size and has all the offerings you expect from the photo department (which I have yet to use in any location) to the Redbox out front. They are usually pretty well stocked, and that includes the last two years. While every place is affected by supply chain issues, I have seen less empty spots when I visit here than the two locations I visit often where I live. While that is normally on the weekend, that does include weekdays and spans both morning and evening visits. That's a bit of a miracle in a college town. The staff here is very polite and they try to be helpful, no complaints there. I usually don't see too many customers at the front, but on the rare occasion I've been in a line over 4 people long it has moved quickly. Every employee we have dealt with has a good sense of humor and are even intuitive about bagging our items. I hate shopping, but I don't dread my visits here at all!”
