I walked in the store and waited for the employee working at the time named “Rick.” After he hung up the phone I patiently waited for him to acknowledge me because I figured he was busy helping another customer. When he acknowledged me I asked if I can borrow a scan tool to clear a code as I unplugged one of my injectors trying to diagnose a misfire that I had fixed now. His tone turned hostile and said it’s illegal to erase codes. I questioned him and said “it’s illegal to erase codes?” He responded by reiterating it’s illegal to erase codes. I couldn’t help but almost laugh because this is clearly not the case. I challenged him on this and said, no it’s not illegal to erase codes.. how are you supposed to clear a check engine light when something is fixed and you need the light to go off. He then told me it is a 25k fine for us (as in Advance Auto Parts) to erase the code. I never once asked to have him erase the codes, just to borrow a scan tool. All he would have had to say is we don’t lend scan tools out and leave it at that.After this experience it is safe to say the Rick is arrogant and rude and I will never use Advance Auto Parts again - and I will tell people in the auto industry to avoid this place at all cost. Also, what kind of auto parts store doesn’t offer a scan tool out. Every other auto parts store such as O’Rielly and AutoZone do. This place is a joke and avoid spending dollars here unless you absolutely have to!

I needed brake fluid and had to make a quick stop while visiting family. The store assistant was helpful and polite.

Marie was very unhelpful and unfriendly when I tried to return an item I just bought 30 minutes prior. I will NEVER buy anything at this company at all due to poor service.

Great service at the counter from Nancy! Isn't that what this is all about anyway? I can get autoparts anywhere in today's market. But without customer service, WHEN you have an issue, you're left to handle it yourself. When you visit this location, ask for Nancy. She is the reason why I'll go back.

Extremely disappointed! My daughter’s headlight was out. She bought a bulb. She then asked for them to install it and was informed that they don’t do that! She drove to o'reilly auto parts and they installed it for her gladly. Guess which auto parts store we will use in the future? Advoid this company, please!
