Over the weekend, my husband and I had a wonderful time at the Painted Sky. This charming retreat is incredibly cozy, impeccably clean, and blissfully quiet. The serene surroundings were abounding with deer, adding to the overall charm of the place.

I stayed at the Painted Sky Inn on a vacation with family. We were able to view a beautiful sunset over the lake from our room and enjoyed the layout of the rooms. The Painted Sky Inn team provides excellent customer service, as well!
Rooms: The rooms are upgraded motel rooms that are very clean and well-designed. There was a mini kitchen in the room we stayed in and a grill.
Nearby activities: There is a fishing pier and corn hole games to play. As well as hammocks to relax and read.
Noteworthy details: There is a great view from the rooms over the lake!

Gorgeous view of the lake! Serene, peaceful, quaint... exactly what we needed. Such a relaxing atmosphere here at the lake. We will definitely be back!
Rooms: This is not a fancy resort. It's a charming little Inn with cozy, clean rooms.

Wow, what an awesome stay at Painted Sky.
We rented all the rooms and campsites at painted sky for a family and friends get together. 40 people, 4 nights. All 40 of us were very impressed with Painted Sky, and I kept hearing over and over again how happy everyone was that we chose to stay at Painted Sky.
Painted Sky is clean. Some other places around Lake Buchanan have carpet, and Painted Sky has cement floors, which keeps out any musty smell, and the rooms were very clean. It was very handy that each room has a bathroom and kitchen.
Painted Sky is private. It sits on a peninsula, and there is a gate, so we had a very private, cozy gathering. There are many places for folks to gather: on the deck, below the deck, near the grill, between the rooms and the lake, at the campsites (playing guitar and singing songs), on the grassy area (playing corn hole), on the lake paddling around. Painted Sky is ideally suited for gathering, cocktails, play, fishing, and conversation.
Sunrise with a cup of coffee is quiet and peaceful. Sunset with a beer in hand is spectacular.
The lake was low but the bluebonnets raged where the water normally would be. And the fishing was good!
The employees, especially Erica, were very responsive and helpful. The owner, Josh, was easy to work with.
I highly recommend Painted Sky.

Wonderful memories of being here a number of years ago. It was beautiful then, it's still beautiful now. Still can't imagine the place without Denise there, but others have said that the new owners are taking very good care of the place and all of their guests as well. Best of luck! I'll be back one of these days and stay again. :)

The pictures a super deceiving. The Lake is so low and dirty and the property is tiny. The a/c is old and the many many bbq grills fill the motel 6 style suites with smoke. We only stayed 1 night out of three nights booked because it felt so trashy. There’s a reason you won’t find pics of the bathrooms. Completely ruined my bday.

We didn't get to stay because of Air conditioning never cooled room. They shut off AC units so cinder block walls overheat and french doors were so hot to the touch no curtains in bathroom to keep heat out and no ac air to bathroom. Water was awful and beds were uncomfortable. Trying to find a getaway from dady today became an awful experience with health conditions. They will not refund even when they changed rooms it was just as hot in that one also. Done with Painted Sky inn.

My husband and i found this amazing little Inn and I’m so thankful we did. What a fabulous place to relax and enjoy nature. We fished, swang on the porch swings on the pier and watched the sun set as well as rise!! Tim was great.

We really enjoyed some peace and quiet here. The place is very clean, loved that there's no carpet, the floors feel and look clean. My son my, my husband and I enjoyed fishing and watching the sunset. We caught a few fish and released them back into the water. Owner was very easy and quick to get ahold of. No issues to report. Would love to come back again!

We loved our stay at the Painted Sky Inn! It’s private, facilities are immaculate, and the view of Lake Buchanan from our room and patio area was fantastic! This is a hidden gem of a property on the lake. Josh was a great host, and we will definitely go back!

Always clean and well stocked you guys keep making nice improvements thank you. We will keep coming back for fish camp to enjoy each season at Buchanan. Noteworthy..fishing at dam for stripers and hybrids decent at dam. White bass still around silver creek mouth in evening.

Very peaceful, simple, nothing fancy with a beautiful view of Lake Buchanan! You receive a text after the first night asking if there was anything we needed after that we kept enjoying the place. Will be back!
