I get my prescriptions filled at this location since it's near my house. The pharmacy experience is pretty typical... ?♀️ 5 stars. I don't need anything fancy. He's not pharmacy, but my favorite Walgreens employee is DaWhitney because he's an extra cheerful person. So shout out to him, but his co-workers are nice too. The cashiers in the retail section have to work photo/fedex too, but they don't have enough staff for someone to be parked behind the photo/FedEx counter. So if I do the "one hour photo" online, I also go there in person and asked them for my photos and then give them an hour to print them. In other words, I don't expect them to be monitoring the queue of online orders. I think they are all doing the best they can. ?

I booked a Covid-19/Flu Test for 10:45a and when I showed up the pharmacy was out of tests and sent me to another location. Once I made it to the other location, the staff told me that my appointment was for 12p. The thing that sucks is that no one tried to contact me ahead of time to let me know that the location I booked with was out of tests. Not only that, I wasn't made aware that I would have to wait an extra 1hr before testing with the other location. Not a fun experience, especially when you don't feel well.

The pharmacy at this place is a legitimate joke. It took 5 days and 7 phone calls for them to figure out that I had two medications transferred to them from another pharmacy. The other pharmacy had to send the prescription 3 times and this pharmacy never called and updated me on what was going on. I had to call them every time and it took numerous calls to get someone to answer. When they finally said they would refill my two meds they had only 5 pills in stock for one of them. Y'all seriously didn't check this on the front end? When I went in to pick up my prescription they realized they didn't have my insurance on file so I had to wait an additional 20 mins for them to get approval. Then they hit me with "insurance won't approve the other med because you have 5 days left." Again this would've been great to know before I drove there. I left with 5 pills of one prescription (should be 90) and zero of the other (should also be 90).I'm not blaming them for the issue with insurance but why on earth did you not check all of this beforehand???? It took one quick call to my insurance to get them to approve a refill because I was traveling but thanks to your crappy communication I had to wait an additional day. The best part is that now I'm trying to send the rest of my prescription (85 pills) back to my original pharmacy and they're saying they don't have it. Seriously what is wrong with y'all? Figure it out.

The floor is always dirty here. No cold Gatorade or really any other cold drinks besides beers or one flavor of monster energy drink. Worst Walgreens in Austin

They are so disorganized. Everything is always messy. Nobody knows what's going on. The pharmacy scheduled a vaccine appointment for me and I showed up on time only to find out nobody showed up to work at the pharmacy and they are closed for the day. No warning. No phone call. Nothing. And nothing to offer except they "might" call me to reschedule. If you want to waste your time go here.

Wow has this place changed since the last time I was in there. Very nice store and no more waiting 30 minutes to check out your items. Plenty of friendly staff and open registers. Well done.

They truly just don't have enough people working at this location. I got there to pick up my prescription, which was already ready, and was met with a line. Next, I needed to pick up my photo order, which was already ready, and was once again met with a line. I'm not all that surprised by this because it's pretty typical every time I make a trip, but I would assume they'd increase the staff by now. I highly suggest going through the app first to at least minimize your wait time. Regardless, my photos turned out great and my prescription was fine per usual. COVID Precautions: All customers and guests are required to wear masks.

If the pharmacy isn't open at 5:20, shouldn't the hours be 10-5, not 10-6? Switching to HEB, way more reliable.

I am giving 5 stars because I have read all of the bad reviews- especially those targeting the "east side". So sick of everything that has been wrong with east Austin being ok before it was gentrified. When we asked for help, complained, etc. it all fell on deaf ears. Now things are expected to be perfect. Rather than blaming the location, call corporate to complain about the way they have neglected this part of town. Stop whining and make it better. Calling residents "sketchy" only blames those who have been victims of systematic marginalization. Direct your angst toward the corporate office. Ask for more staff, etc. Communities work together not tear down what has long been neglected.
