Apr2024: 4⭐: I could recommend this local corner grocery store.I stopped by this location looking for a few specific items of interest. It is a small store but it had several of the items that I needed in a timely manner. I noted that this store had what appeared to be fresh baked items on the shelves as well. I noted there were shelves of wine available in the store as well. As expected, I knew items in this city area would be expensive, but I was surprised with this store. I made my selection quickly and went to the register. The small store does have the ability to use digital pay at the register. I noticed that while I was trying to pay it asked me if I wanted to leave a tip before I paid my bill. I thought it was interesting that this store had a mandatory selection on the software program that asked for a tip. Why should I tip when I am the one selecting the groceries that I am paying for in the store and walking them to the cash register ? It just seemed to be a little bit...over the top. Either way, the store was orderly and clean upon my arrival and departure.

Texas Health and Safety Code - HEALTH & SAFETY § 341.068. Restroom Availability Where the Public Congregates. (a) Publicly and privately owned facilities where the public congregates shall be equipped with sufficient temporary or permanent restrooms to meet the needs of the public at peak hours. This establishment refused my coworker and myself access to the restrooms. I also so a rat run across the store . Will not return.

This place is not allowing customers to use either of the 2 unisex restrooms. Most people walk up to this store and if you have to use the restrooms you’re out of luck. I won’t be spending any more money at this illegitimate illegal run business.

Royal Blue Grocery is a neighborhood gem! Walking in feels like a warm hug from Austin itself. The staff is super friendly, turning a grocery run into a cheerful experience. They've got your essentials, a cozy coffee spot, and a menu for light meals that hits the spot. Vegans, you're covered too – they've got a fantastic plant-based selection. It's not just a store; it's a slice of home right in the neighborhood.

This place was pretty awesome! It’s a hipster grocery store that has their own swag what else can I say. They even have a shrine dedicated to animals whose owners send pictures in

Sooo many tasty options.Peanut Butter Jelly Cookie - 5/5Chocolate Pastry - 5/5Oatmeal Cream Pie - 5/5The cookies from Thoroughbred are insanely delicious. Some of my favorite cookies in Austin. The Pastries from Sour Duck are equally amazing. The oatmeal cream pie is a fat kid’s delight.

Bad, bad service. Makes you feel most unwanted when you walk in and aren’t greeted, but the people after you are greeted. Tried to ask a question about the wine/local, and was met with more unfriendliness. That’s a bummer. I love to support local places like this, but can’t stand unfriendly attitudes.

Awesome little Austin grocery chain. Love the ready made cold case items and the breakfast tacos. Good variety of healthy products and drinks, and good for some lightweight grocery shopping too. On the pricier side but it's a local chain, not a big box store so, it makes sense. Always cheery staff.

Wildly overpriced, however convenient. Largest draw back is multiple pressures of tipping. Several jars out, and you have to bypass screens for a purchase of gum ?♂️.

The upside is that they have quite a lot of decent selections. The downside is the charge doesn't match price written on the tag. And everything is much more overpriced. I don't think I've seen such prices anywhere else except for the airport. A single truffle chocolate cost $1.25, while the price written was 92c. Many other things don't have prices labeled. I bought a cup of coffee (12 oz), a small chocolate bar, one single piece of truffle and a tiny bag of crunchy, it came out to $21. I don't think even SF is this expensive.
