Peter Rorsa was a fantastic late night host. He helped me out with the hard bed, and when I was having an allergic reaction to something else. He sent up new sheets. Thank you Peter. The beds were like sleeping on a piece of wood. The showers didn't work properly, things were falling off. The AC units vibrate at low hertz to the point it gave me a headache. Some windows didn't have screens.Food was good tho.

I was totally disappointed. Couldn’t believe this was a Marriott brand! The room smelled as soon as I walked in! There was the oldest TV there so we couldnt watch our Netflix! There was a broken light in the mirror of the bathroom. I was so dissatisfied with this hotel. The room was large which was a plus even though I didnt need that much room. It was the stench and the TV that made it not so nice to be in. Totally older hotel and not worth the price!

Stayed here for one night and had an overall positive experience. The one negative that I feel is worth mentioning is that there was a large cockroach in our room late in the night. Thankfully, the hotel staff member was responsive and came to help spray and try to find the roach. I'm mainly leaving this review since one of the factors in staying here was based on the lack of recent roach reviews.Given that a) it is Texas in the summer, b) we were on a first floor room, and c) it was a large roach (not the small indoor infesting kind), I was not concerned that there was a systemic cleanliness issue as it could have just come in from outside somehow.Otherwise, did not see any other bugs inside the hotel. Staff was friendly, responsive, and professional. The breakfast was generous and even had oat milk. Checkin & checkout was easy, and the location is very convenient for visiting Austin

Just stopped in to take a look at this property. It’s very pretty I love the pool area in the lobby area is unique for residence Inn. The lady behind the counter was awesome extremely friendly thanks for the conversation.

Initially I wasn't happy with the ADA room I had. Emily at the front desk moved me to a new room, which was much better. Lots of places to eat in the area. Room was a decent size with an ergonomic desk. Cleaning ladies cleaned my room every day I was there. Wish the beds weren't so high. Breakfast was decent. Great value.

Elevator looked like it was about to collapse.. The large guy who checked me in did not look or act very friendly. The room itself was decent.. no serious problems. I came here because of the cheap price which was $94/night. The eggs in the breakfast were disgusting, taste like yellow tofu.. the sausage was decent though.

Imagine entering a 90’s movie set, like in a TV series. That was my first impression entering my room at the Residence Inn. Everything looks kinda 30yo. It’s ok it’s clean - pillows are way too hard btw - and the aircon is deadly cold. Had to turn it back to a decent 75° to survive in that fridge. Staff is friendly, maybe a bit superficially friendly, and their antique IT system didn’t allow them to get me a bill for 2x 3$ water bottles…they tried it every possible way but in the end I got these offered. 3$ for a water bottle…these are airport prices btw…Breakfeast got me a bit by surprise. You eat on cardboard plates and drink from styrofoam cups while using plastic knives and forks. This is so absurd and such a waste of resources, it’s stunning. And of course absolutely disgusting in terms of user experience. But this seems to be an American thing as I encountered it in entry level motels like Super 8 who also had the same practice. This wouldn’t be allowed in Europe. I ended up buying a real mug at Walmart to get at least a decent container for my tea. The unnecessary waste this practice generates is unimaginable. Not the slightest chance to get an ecolabel with such a practice.Am still waiting for a mistake done on my final bill to get sorted out. This too is annoying and next time I’ll stay at the domain. Chose this place because it was close to the office but it revealed as rather noisy and the swimming pool was not accessible during 5 of my 7 days of stay.Rooms: Old style and rather darkWalkability: You need a car to get here and to get to places to eat. Nothing is writhin reach on foot.

Spiders in the room. AC was intermittent. Sometimes working, sometimes not. Phone was out of order. And the worse part? Jerry at the front desk acted like he couldn't care less. He was NOT accommodating in the least. Terrible experience.

The smell.....It hits you in the face when you come through the front door. Smells like a TruckStop men's restroom urinal cake. It made me physically ill for my overnight visit, left my windows open as wide as possible in my room, and as such I could not even imagine trying to eat. The backup door lock on my door was broken. There is an ice machine but no ice bucket. The drink cooler was 90% empty and there were no options for food. The rooms are old and mine was dirty I am no convinced it was cleaned before my visit.Walkability: No food or other services in a walkable distance due to busy highways

Very nice and clean hotel. Surprisingly clean parking lot with many spaces. Dog friendly. My friend has a Great Dane and was accepted as a guest with no issues. She was given a magnet for her door indicating there was a “4 legged guest inside.”Spacious open “L” shaped floor plan room with king bed and “TV” on top of small dresser facing one way with large counter with sink and mirror and closet behind then standing shower and toilet beyond this off the side of the bed. (Door to toilet and shower room).Living area has long couch when you enter with love seat, sizable desk with lamps and closet. Kitchen to your immediate right with full size, stainless steel refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, toaster, dishes, pots & pans and stove top. Vinyl flooring and small table with chairs in open kitchen area.Very clean. Cushiness in the carpets and very clean feeling. Maintenance seems to keep up on everything.Very nice renaissance location overall. I would definitely stay there despite the location not being the best in Austin.

I have stayed at many Marriott branches and I might say not satisfied with this one. Pet friendly should be in pet friendly rooms. Sitting on the couch got up with dog hair on my black shirt. Dog food in the closet so I am guessing they didn't vacuum. Spilled water on the couch when I cleaned it up the towel was dirty( black). Didn't wear socks on the carpet and it was like walking barefoot outside. Won't be returning.
