We are new to Regents, moved to TX from CA for many reasons, but mostly to find good community with great family values. Regents offers this in a variety of ways. The parents are always welcomed on campus and it is actually a joy to volunteer. Staff sincere and kind. The kids here at Regents are learning well because they are loved well. They are taught that God comes first. Not politics or tribalism. They are ALL known and recognize for their individual gifts. We never really knew our son had such a desire to learn like he does here at Regents. I would say being dedicated to Jesus and the Bible is important at Regents. Anyone looking for a trendy politically correct school that treats wisdom as competitive facts and figures should look elsewhere. Regents is training leaders in a culture that is hostile to many moral truths. This school is a rare gem. Graduates here can stand boldly on Christ's foundations, blessed with truth of God, convicted on right vs. wrong. No price too high for that kind of education in my book! We are blessed beyond to be here!

Our family has sacrificed in the way of restructuring our Houston-Galveston based business in order for our children to be a part of this very fine institution. As Grammar parents, we could not be happier with the faculty, staff and leadership at Regents School of Austin. The parent community is involved, caring, and committed to one another. Mr Gilliam in the Science & Nature Center is their humble shining star in my opinion, and one of the gems that makes this school such a unique place. He is the caring grandpa figure who gets down to the basics of life that every child needs to learn from. As Dr Peterson mentions in the video that captured my own heart, Regents is not a "cookie-cutter factory" -- they teach students how to think for themselves and defend their perspectives. We are ecstatic to have our younger child join our son next year as a Regent. The Kindergarten experience last year of pairing with a Senior Buddy and the way the school weaves in all ages to be mentors is so special - I know our daughter will develop the same special bonds and this is one of the many reasons we chose this school out of many toured throughout the state of Texas.

We are currently in our 6th year at Regents, and we love it....Regents is a wonderful community and our family loves it there. The last review posted by Mark REALLY surprised me because I know families who are Catholic and who attend Regents. Also I am of Indian origin and I'm at Regents.... There could be many other reasons why somebody is not accepted at the school.

Discrimination discrimination discrimination. This school has a border line cult like feel to it. Our personal experience is that we applied for our daughter to get in and we went through the whole process. Our daughter has well above average MAPS scores and is above average in every subject at school. She is very well behaved and well spoken. We went for our "interview" and all went well. In the end we were called "not what they were looking for" and why you might ask? Because we are catholic. We were not sure what the problem was until someone on the inside confirmed that it was our catholic faith that caused us not to get accepted. Wow!! I never experienced discrimination in my life up until now. Doesn't feel good. Later on I spoke with several Indian friends and African American friends and they also experienced the same. They seem to offer a great education from what I see, but I guess we will never know as we don't fit into their "traditional white Christian box". Be careful and don't waste your time. They will start off the meeting with a prayer for you, but the prayer is basically a front for their discrimination. In the end I'm glad it's didn't work out. We don't want our daughter to grow up with their phony morals.

If you want to read my honest feedback, please scroll to bottom of screen and see the "not currently recommended" reviews. Not sure why my review was considered "not currently recommended". I assume it's because I repeated words and phrases that the SOL teacher used in class.

Grammar? Logic? Rhetoric? Como se dice Random! You get to wear striped ties, blue and gold, ew. You also get to wear old fashioned sock hop skirts, the type you'd wear to the local soda fountain with a doo wop style preacher's son or greasy neighborhood bad boy. They make you sing weird songs in ancient tongues and perform weekly rituals on fields and in gymnasiums. Latinx is taught from a very early age, not bad. This is not a good school for skaters, artists or gamers, which I think is a good thing. Regents is a perfect fit if you desire to be surrounded by people who are exactly like you. I went to this school, but did not graduate because I got deployed to Moscow, Idaho in the War on Christmas, where I served as an Antifa Super Soldier. Also, I can not stress this enough, THIS IS NOT A SAFE SPACE FOR PIE THIEVES AND PRANKSTERS, I was nearly expelled for stealing a cooling pie out of the headmaster's window as a joke.

While we've had great experiences with the many dedicated teachers at Regents, in our opinion this school is moving in the wrong direction. This can be witnessed by the exit of the school's top high school teachers (four at current count) and many of the staff who have left over the last 18 months. While often touted as an institution with rigorous academics, we've seen our children, while at the top of their class, fall behind friend's children who are at competing schools, given the one-size-fits-all curriculum. We know of a couple parents who have pulled their children for this very reason. And while we are not that informed on the school politics, Regents lost a very fine head of school last year. We wish the new head the best of luck, but we haven't seen the same level of leadership so far. Finally, there is a growing insular view of the world from the parent population, preferring to keep kids totally sheltered from real world realities. If that is your parenting philosophy perhaps Regents is a school to check out, we've found it, as parents, disconcerting. Given all this, we've decided to leave the school.

My family and I have had a rewarding and fulfilling experience at Regents. My son is starting his 3rd year in 2nd grade and my daughter joined Kindergarten this Fall. Regents provides a classical Christian education where the driving philosophy is parents come alongside the school to participate in the education of their children. Parent volunteering is encouraged. We have been welcomed by other families and have made long lasting relationships in the Regents community. I would highly recommend this school!
