The worst extended warranty experience under the sun. Inept, time-consuming, impossible. They turned me away at the returns counter saying to call the phone number on the warranty. I did. They could not find the reference number on the receipt. Same for online. Back to the store and the returns counter. The employee knew how much time and aggravation had already been spent on this, yet let's herself get called away to help another employee with another customer.
I fully understand now why you have a sign informing customers that abusive language will not be tolerated. It is because you NEED that sign, isn't it? Change your insane and inept extended warranty, you fools. I left everything at the counter and walked out. Shame on all levels of management for causing customer anger when you could fix your many systemic problems instead.
Lowe's ain't what it used to be.

Never, EVER purchase an extended warranty from Lowe's. The process to file a claim is onerous, repetitive, the absolute worst combination of an incompetent process and AI chatbot if online, and a nightmare to attempt on the phone. expect to enter everything about yourself as well as the super long reference number on the receipt (which you are lost without). You even have to repeat the date of purchase. YOU CANNOT SIMPLY GO INTO THE STORE TO GET HELP>

Went in for a dolly and was happy to easily find the location via the website. The inventory count of how many were available was also spot on. Cashier at the self-check was friendly and very helpful.

So much at Lowe’s -meets so many needs! The hardware guys are phenomenal! Bill Boyd you can show and bolt or nut he knows exactly what they are! He knows his department like the back I of his hand! Super friendly! Ask for Bill!!

I've called this store many times for help and have NEVER actually been helped, so they clearly do not have enough staff to offer customer service on the phone. Prepare to just be put on permanent hold and never have an associate come back on the line to help. Very frustrating experience.

Lowe’s lack of integrity is astounding. A perfect example of a modern large corporation which has lost all sense of customer service. I purchased an oven and microwave combo here and took the 18 months no interest financing. However, because of a mistake on their part, they started charging me interest and hit me with a huge $2,200 deferred interest payment 15 months into what was supposed to be an 18 month interest free period. I called Lowe’s credit center and they assured me the problem would be fixed but after waiting 2 additional months they sent a letter saying, “my request for reallocating payment had been denied”. Unbelievable!! This had nothing to do with the issue. I called Lowe’s credit center again only to be told that this was a mistake that had been made in the computer at the local Brodie store in Austin and that there was nothing the Lowe’s credit center could do to fix it. I then went to the Lowe’s on Brodie Ln where I had made the purchase and spoke to the store manager. He told me this was an error by the Lowe’s credit center and there was nothing they could do at the store level to help me. I begged him to please help me contact someone with their credit center that had the authority to fix the mistake. He said he would work on it and took my number to call me back. It has been weeks now and he never has called me. In the meantime I tried calling the Lowe’s credit center one more time. I asked for a supervisor who again told me this was the store’s fault and my fault for not noticing their mistake sooner. I asked for her supervisor and spoke with a very friendly and authoritative sounding lady who said they would look into the problem and call me back. It has been weeks and she never called me back. I cannot believe how horribly I have been treated by this company I have done tens of thousands of dollars of business with over the years. I have bought a refrigerator, washer, dryer, cooktop, oven, microwave, lawnmower, bbq pit, and flooring all at this store. They have no regard for a long term loyal customer and now have lost one over a matter of $2,200 in interest erroneously charged. I am stuck with a poor choice of ruining my credit by not paying this or paying $2,200 that I should have never owed. I of course will choose the latter and have to allow myself to be scammed by Lowe’s. I am so disappointed in this whole situation. I never wanted to have to shop at Home Depot but now that will be what I have to do. Surely Home Depot will not treat a loyal repeat customer the way Lowe’s has. The good news for me is that I am a realtor which means I get to deal with many homebuyers making decisions about where to buy their appliances and where to go for their home improvement needs and I will be able to warn them all about my Lowe’s horror story so that they can steer clear. To all those reading this I have done my due diligence, you have been warned because I possess something Lowe’s does not…INTEGRITY. I hope this helps others avoid trouble with this dishonest and incompetent company.

Trying to get a question answered about a freezer. No one answers in appliances, rang for 5 minutes. On hold for 15 minutes for customer service and finally hung up.
I guess no one works there!
Up date- I called the 800 number. After 15 minutes I hung up!!

Loyalty to customers means nothing to Lowe’s system. I bought 2 Samsung refrigerators in 2018 and 2019. Samsung covers compressors with 10-year warranty with the original receipt. For some reason, payment with Lowe’s credit card record with my name, address and store info is not a proof of purchase for Samsung. Lowe’s stores receipts for up to 2020. There are no agreements between Lowe’s and manufacturer about protecting customers during warranty term. In addition, the quality of Lowe’s customer service of all three places (in person, on the phone and via chat) is the same horrible. I will never buy anything meaningful in Lowe’s ever. Best Buy sells the same stuff and acts responsible for everything it sells. Lowe’s and Samsung lost our family’s interest forever. I do not recommend them to anyone.

I am stunned. Spent over 90 minutes on the phone just to add a haul away to a dishwasher order. “Let me help you with that” turned into hot potato and transfers back and forth to the same departments and people who just wouldn’t answer or would put me on a “quick hold” for another 30 minutes or would just disconnect the line and send me to a survey. One person said they could help but someone was using the computer they needed to process haul away, put me on hold and never came back. I had to hang up and call back and was redirected again to someone else. They finally told me that they couldn’t help me and I would just have to cancel the order and redo it and then reschedule the install myself. Staggeringly bad customer service. I almost never write bad reviews, but when I asked for a manager to get a solution and share my experience they put me on hold for another 15, now going on 20 minutes. Hoping someone sees this and fixes their phone practices because yikes.

I’m not sure what led to this change, but the last three times that I’ve been to Lowe’s customer service has been amazing! All the workers were incredibly nice, cheerful and helpful! And I could easily find someone to help me. It makes me want to continue shopping there and avoid their competitor. I look forward to shopping there again!
