6/1 Tried to return one of the three things I purchased on 5/11.
I had the unopened and unsprayed item I wanted to return and the receipt. It was within 30 days.
I got turned away twice (almost a third time) by the acting manager because I had to have all three things I bought that day with me to be scanned (even though the other two are opened and I was not planning to return them) otherwise "the machine physically won't let us do the refund".
It is nowhere on the receipt, no one said that at time of purchase, they just said it had to be unopened and unsprayed to return.
On the receipt it even explains:
"All BOGO items (pair) within a purchase must be returned with a valid Perfumainia receipt for full credit. If not, only the lowest promoted price during the BOGO will be credited for each of the items returned, regardless of their selling price on the receipt."
I am fine with that. I have no issue receiving the lowest price, I know I got a deal on it. I just want to return it. I drove an hour to return it within the 30 days. I did everything the instructions asked. The "if not" on the receipt clearly suggests there is a situation where I'm not returning the pair but gives no extra instructions to follow. I should be able to return just the one by bringing just the one.
This is scam worthy. I only want to return one item so I only brought the one item. Nowhere does it say to bring back all the items to have them all scanned.. what kind of system is set up like that? And why couldn't a manager override something like that?
I enjoyed my original trip, I liked the lady that helped me pick out the perfumes I got, I just decided I didn't want the duplicate one anymore because I liked the second scent I got better. It's untouched and within 30 days. The receipt says I can return it following those rules. There should be no reason I can't return it. If there was, it should have been clearly stated on the receipt like the rest of it.
The 2nd (and actual) manager was nicer about it and worked with us and got a gift card for the store and said that he would educate the other employees to help warn other people.
But, 3 visits, an hour, and 2 managers is so much farther than I ever wanted to take this.
Just don't come here if you think you might return anything. It was way too much and the staff was way too dismissive about it.
The acting manager tried to dismiss us before the real manager even knew we were here when we specifically waited to speak to him. Shout-out to the other worker who thankfully got him from the back for us. I know it was annoying that we kept coming back asking questions, but we were never rude about it. She didn't need that attitude and should have stayed quiet to let us talk to the manager we had waited for instead of trying to get us to go away.
Thank you Justin for helping. Thank you for acknowledging it's a major flaw in perfumania's system.
Perfumania sucks though and we are never wasting money on this place again.

I have always been attracted to perfumes, so having been there seemed sensational to me due to the wide variety of perfumes they have, the quality and the prices. A nice experience. I hope to return soon for more scent delights.

Too busy upsetting us. I know it's a business and that's how they make money but almost 300 later and I didn't even get any samples. To top that off, that was the majority of my self imposed budget. At least my wife was happy with her new fragrances. So all in all they only lose 2 ? for the experience.

In case you’re trying to find it, it’s right by the skating rink upstairs. I went here to smell many different smells. I’m trying to design my own perfume there were some perfumes listed I wasn’t familiar with. Carmen Flores Waited on me, She was very nice and helpful.

I purchased the Daisy perfume by Marc Jacobs and I am very disappointed. It doesn't smell like the perfume the sales lady sprayed on tester card. They would not let me exchange it or give me a refund eventhough I only used it a couple times.
