I had the pleasure of enrolling my child in Oakwood Academy, and I cannot say enough about how incredible the experience has been. The teachers at this daycare are absolutely amazing and incredibly understanding, and it's clear that they genuinely care about the well-being and development of the children in their care.From the moment we walked through the doors, we felt welcomed and assured that our child was in the best of hands. The teachers here go above and beyond to create a nurturing and educational environment. They take the time to get to know each child individually, catering to their unique needs and interests.

Oakwood Academy is an exceptional place for children to grow and learn, and it's all thanks to the incredible teachers and directors who make it a truly remarkable daycare. I cannot express enough how great the teachers and directors are at Oakwood Academy.The loving and open-armed environment they create is nothing short of amazing. From the moment we first visited, we were struck by the warmth and genuine care that exudes from every corner of this daycare. The teachers and directors have a remarkable ability to make every child feel valued, appreciated, and loved. I wish I could give this daycare 0 starsThey threatened to terminate my care cause I was at work when they called saying my daughter had diarrhea when she’s was perfectly fine before she left home.Said if nobody came to get her in 30 minutes they would terminate care.But they text your phone constantly saying the balance you owe but expect their money on time but constantly call every week requesting someone leave work to come get there child

I highly recommend this daycare center! My uncle has my little cousins enrolled and they never stop talking about how much they love being there. I've been the main one picking then up recently and the ladies there are beyond warm and welcoming! You can tell they genuinely care for all the kids there. My cousins never have anything bad to say about their teachers. I've personally had conversations with the teachers in regards to any behavioral issues my cousins have given them and you can tell how determined they are to find new ways and work with you in any situation.

All four of my children go to oakwood , I believe this is our 2nd year and I love all the staff , they a great with my children , especially elena and stacy, my kids have nothing but good things to say.

Good and not so good. Some of the teachers here are great. They love you and love the children and love their job. Other teachers here, not so much... Some of them are mean (my son told me once that an older teacher pinched him *he had a mark on his body from it*, and that another teacher had called him a baby when he was having a hard day and crying) and some of them are too immature to be aloud to have a class to themselves. I worked at a private school and daycare so I know what to look for and what to expect and this daycare did not meet my expectations ever. Each teacher does not carry a check list of their class, and at other daycare's and school that has always been something that is mandatory; keeping a list of the children you are responsible for and checking them in and out of every room, recess and activity. I don't know how they keep up with the kids, there were days when I'd go in and the teacher wouldn't know where my child was. They watch TV all day long. There was never one moment when I went inside this school that the TV was not on; they even played TV during "nap time." On the after school bus my 1st grade son learned many inappropriate songs played on 106.1. Before the school year began, the owner agreed with me that we could have a special schedule because of our unique family situation and 6 weeks into the school year they informed us that if we didn't pay for full time care that we couldn't come back. *I would have taken my children out of this daycare a year ago, but their father would not agree to take them anywhere else.* So we don't go there anymore. I'm sad because there are some nice teacher there and my kids seemed like it. It is cheaper than most daycares though so you get what you pay for.

I'm 60. My 3 Children went to Oakwood. my Granddaughter goes there. They are by far the best, most trust worthy daycare in Arlington.

My child went to Oakwood and loved it. The teachers were great, their lesson plans were awesome. She learned so much through the years and I am very grateful for the time we had with them. Unfortunately, we had to move & it has been so difficult to find a caring, loyal daycare like Oakwood.

Almost hit by a driver of an White Oakwood Academy bus today 9-1-2014 at 3:45pm off Oakwood and Randall Mill, so I called to discuss my concerns and talked to an Asst Director who refused to take down my information for the owner to call me back, she never addressed the safety of the full bus load of children or the safety of the other drivers at risk due to the unsafe driving she then hung up. I called back to speak to a different Asst Director and this person was also rude and unprofessional, this person also refused to take down my info. I am excited to Speak with the Owners and see why this is exceptable behavior for the Drivers and Asst Directors......I am sure it is the same person in question Bad Driver/Asst Director
