Bought a nursery recliner from this location, loved it. Bought a second recliner and had the same issue with the reclining mechanism on the first one and the replacement. I'm convinced Josh in furniture is the only one who believes in doing the right thing at this store, and is a stellar employee. When his manager was convinced we were destorying the chairs on purpose he fought for us to get refunded. Upon checking the website, it seems the Stallion Snuggle Up recliner we purchased has had major issues over the last few weeks. After reviewing the most recent reviews of the item, it seems many customers are having the same issue. With this many customer complaints, Big Lots should do the right thing and stop selling the item until they can resolve the problem.

The store was messy and none of the employees welcomed anyone into the store. I stood in line to checkout and the one cashier working suggested her co-worker , Diane, open another register to which she responded that she page their other worker. This third employee, the shift-lead , came out from the backroom of the building & got on a register and told Diane to go ahead and open the register she'd refused to open 10 minutes before that. Waiting in line for over 15 minutes with 3 employees available to checkout is overkill for a discount store!

Always very slow!! Never have but one lady checking people. Also VERY messy and dirty. Manager needs to learn about customer service. Instead of shuffling off and straightening stuff on his shelf how about checking people out? Poor poor poor

Bought a piece of furniture from big lots that was broken as a Christmas gift. The manager denied it could come used. It was very clearly put together incorrectly and returned and sold to me.

I came to amarillo on my day off of work. Visiting from out of town wanted to take my kids to wonderland. My husband and 4 kids under 4. I have a 1 year old two 2 year old twins and a 4 year old. As I'm waiting in line the cashier and lady she is checking out is talking about my 2 year old crying, and scolding me. (I grabbed my daughters toy because I was going to pay for it which is why she was crying). The lady in line said to the lady behind her that I need to put my kids in the car since they are crying. I told the lady that she should not be in public if she is bothered from a baby crying. The cashier then whispered something to the customer. Anyways long story short I will never be visiting this big lots nor amarillo again. And by the way I work 115 hours a week and this was the only time I had with my husband and kids so putting my kids in the car to wait for me while the other lady's hold up the line was out of the question. If you have toddlers or children I would not take them here and they should actually be out of business since they can't hire appropriate cashiers to provide customer service. 08/05/2023
