“This location has the friendliest associates I've encountered among the Dollar General stores in my area. If I have one suggestion, it would be to keep the aisles clear of merchandising carts during the busiest hours of operation. Shopping becomes much like traversing a labyrinth when the majority of aisles are blocked by carts.”

“5 Stars: United Floral's Fowl Play with Mitch the Silly Chicken!We meant to write this a couple of months ago, right after they helped us with some balloons and fun!When you think of United Grocery Store, you picture fresh produce and friendly service. But today, it was all about the fowl play in the floral department, where our friend Mitch, clad in the most hilariously humiliating chicken costume, became the spectacle we never knew we needed. The bright yellow feathers, the absurdly oversized feet, and those tight red leggings made him look like he was fresh off the farm and ready for the coop.The staff at United couldn't miss this opportunity for some harmless fun. With a gentle nudge, they had Mitch doing the chicken dance, flapping and hopping around with a bundle of balloons in his wings. His antics, full of clucks and squawks, had everyone in stitches. It was a sight so ridiculous, shoppers couldn't help but pause their cart-pushing for a chuckle.Mitch's beak-masked embarrassment and enthusiastic pecking dance moves were the highlight of the day. The floral department didn't just sell balloons and bouquets; they sold unforgettable moments of joy, orchestrated by their feathery friend, Mitch. It was laughter and levity at its best, proving that United Grocery isn't just about food—it's about creating moments that stick with you, long after you've left the store.So here's to Mitch, for being such a good sport, and to United Grocery and their floral department for reminding us that a little silliness can turn a mundane grocery run into a day to remember.Thanks for the memories, and of course, for the balloons!I hear they have invited Mitch Back for another Chicken Dance!”

“This location is usually one of the cleanest one in town but I think they were having an off week. I came in and it was very crowded. Lots of empty shelves and such. They were stocking but it made it hard to walk in the aisles. I only saw one person working at this time and she was slammed. I assume because of supplier issues which is why the shelves were low. Like I said, they usually are leading in everything. I definitely recommend checking them out and seeing what they have to offer. They did have all of their or at least majority of their sales/last chance signs. Most of Abilene did not have those up and haven't been keeping up with it.”

“I can always find what I'm going there to get at Family Dollar, plus I always get some things I didn't know I needed before I saw them there! This store is always clean, organized and nicely stocked. The employees there are helpful and knowledgeable about the products they carry and they have great working attitudes that make for a great shopping environment. The dude with the Blue hair who I believe is a manager is personable and pleasantly professional in his duties and I recommend saying hello to him if he's on duty at the time of your next visit! This Family Dollar is within easy walking distance from where I live and as an extra plus factor that will keep me coming back- THEY ARE DOG FRIENDLY. I don't walk anywhere in Abilene without my dog and I'll find some reason to take my dog for a stroll around the ' hood so I can stop at this F.D. location and buy some $1 instant coffee because I love it and run through it like crazy! I'm fueled by some Nescafe or Cafe Bustelo espresso packets! It keeps me going and improves my attitude & life in a large way every day! This Family Dollar easily gets the A++++ Five ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ rating from me! :-)”

The lady who took our order was AMAZING! I was giving her all these ideas and just trying to make this cake perfect but the lady was so sweet and understanding and the bakery team made my aunt's cake just so BEAUTIFULLY!!!The same ladies made my sister's cake today and they also made my goth cake back in September.
