“I have nothing but good things to say about Troyer's. Fun specialty and local food store! Selection is great. Prices are reasonable. Deli and coffee shop are a wonderful plus! Bathrooms are clean.”
“Great store to shop, very clean and well stocked. The best part of shopping here is zero self checkout and you get to interact with humans. It’s nice to have someone to ring up and bag your groceries and not have to do it all your self. There are plenty of places to go to ring up your own stuff and not get paid extra to do it or get price break to do so. Support small town atmosphere and support businesses that still employ cashiers and actual people. Also prices here are really good especially with the mvp card and if you take time to use the app extra deals on there too!! My recent purchase would have been just over 20 bucks and it ended up being 14.21 out the door with the savings.”

Today my husband and I got lucky enough to try a sample of their coffee as they are opening up a little coffee bar ? papaws pecan pie was delicious! Excited for when the shop is officially opened up and running! Definitely likely to be the coffee spot locally for sure ?”

“October 18, 2024 @16:40: This General Dollar Store is located right beside Crossroads is open and has been open! We had massive flooding in the area but they are open and they are in stock of a lot of food including freezer food, cheese, milk and much needed items. This is the best General Dollar Store in the area. Always cleaner than most. Always has more in stock than most General Dollar Stores in this area. The manager is excellent. All employees have been polite and helpful to me and my family. It's my favorite General Dollar Store to go to and all of East Tennessee. And trust me when I say I've been to 90% of them.”

Also, the community it serves is always thought of , Food City always gives back with donations for community events, including huge food drive donations! “In the rear southwest corner of this location, I found a small, crumpled old man buried under a toppled pile of overstocked paper towels. He was talking before I'd fully uncovered him. The first thing he told me was that God loved me, or at least thought I was okay most of the time. He told me that I shouldn't buy the Circus Peanuts I was holding. He said that capitalism was unsustainable, that if Dollar Generals were everywhere there'd be no one left to be a Dollar Private. And then he thanked me for pulling him out of the pile, but in the future he recommended I mind my own business and then he climbed into a gap in the shelves and pulled the paper towels behind him so that he could no longer be seen.”
“Ingles Pharmacy in Jonesborough is by far the best pharmacy in town. We had an issue with our doctors office and insurance. The doctor refused to see my husband to get his mental health med refilled and also refused to call in a 3 day emergency supply. We went to the pharmacy and told them what was going on. The pharmacist on duty was diligent and able to get the authorization for the emergency supply. Please keep in mind that stopping this med cold turkey can cause death. The doctor didn't care but our pharmacy did! Thank you to all the staff in the pharmacy for caring and providing superior customer care!”

“What a perfect time to tell a Chrismas story...... This evening I went to the Dollar Gereral at 1033 Home Depot with the hopes of finding a Chrismas tree, I saw one on display at the window, it was 4 ft tall. I walked in to ask if they had anymore and was told no, I asked if they would be willing to sell the demo and they said no again, but it seemed to bother them that they couldn't help, without me seeing it as a problem, I asked if they would sell it to me for 25.00 and they said they would call the manager, to my surprise, the answer was YES! I was so moved because I had looked for real trees, but this year they were far and few between. It wasn't just the fact they were going to sell it to me, but the enthusiasm they displayed while boxong it up, the kindness they showed was immeasurable and I was totally moved by it that I started to cry. This year has been tough for everyone, and what I learned in the particular with Dollar General store was that kindness still exists, the love and humanity these 2 ladies displayed was almost unreal, because during these tough times, many people have forgotten how to be kind. Their names, and don't forget it, are Amiee and Crystal. Even though kindness has been hard to find, we must always remember that it still exists and God is always here with us, just look with an open heart, be kind yourself and to others and you will be surprised that it really is all around us! Thank you Amiee and Crystal, this is an experience I will never forget!! Oh and through their kindness they sold me the tree for 7.50!!! I will never forget this day at Dollar General, and what Amiee and Chrystal did for me...Remember, kindness is everywhere, you just have to open your heart :)”
